What went truly wrong with this serial?
I have disliked Benazir track and the Mathura track and the Begums fighting war and even Atifa track to some extent as we know that nothing of this nonsense happened in real history
But the Salim punishment track takes the cake. This track is truly getting on viewers nerves.
What exactly irks me is that Ruqaiah is giving opium to a small child with so many maids, soldiers etc all around
Lesser said about parents of Salim the better, mother only fights for criminals like Sharif, Abul Mali and Khyber and for a slave kid and father he cannot punish dreaded criminals of his family but targets his innocent child and his wife Jodha
Has Akbar ever thought why Salim lied because he was scared of Akbar? What sort of love of father is this where a child is so terrified of father and lies and hides etc
Then comes his justification of this harsh punishment that he wants his son to be human at childhood unlike him who took 30 years and a massacre to be one. But has he ever thought Salim is different human he is not violent like Akbar and cares even for animals and dreaded criminals. And Jodha instead of trying to explain Akbar is supporting him in name of making Salim great?
Now we hear the child may die and Salim may have to stay in hut serving old woman all life. What sort of NR is this?
All audience knows Salim was trained in war fare and went to battle at young age. So why show this nonsensical track?
