AB gets kidnapped by smugglers and they ask ransom from DK to release son to compromise his position
But DK refuses and AB life in danger but a smuggler takes daya on him and helps him run off and save his life
AB starts hating daddy and mom also to some extent and becomes close to the smuggler who saved him that day and himself becomes smuggler
Isn't Salim- Jodha and Akbar story going same way with Ruqaiah as smuggler?
Salim is AB and JA are DP and Waheeda Rehman AB mom in film
There smuggler atleast loved AB like a son and saved his life and was good to him
Here Ruqaiah wants to control Salim through addiction so more dangerous
Ruqaiah does not love Salim truly like that smuggler does AB in movie
Now only hope is Anarkali aka nadira may be her friendship and love shall get him back to right path that is why salim loved anar so much that he was ready to die or do bhagawat for her sake
Right now Salim is in precarious condition

Mom is on some halo pedestial so Salim scared to tell truth she will not support him acting like saint

I mean imagine how terrified a child is that he cannot go and tell anyone he has shot an arrow by mistake not even his family cares him truly else he would have told them
Jodha is not helping him by not fighting for him and his rights - JA must first ask whose fault is it that Salim is so scared so low confidence? Is it Salim fault or parents fault?
Currently how I view Salim he is lonely and targeted and no one truly care for him. Its a scary feeling when no one is there in world to confide your thoughts without any fear of being judged or any fear of repercussions
If this is what real Salim went through as a child no wonder he turned out an addict in life lonliness can drive any human crazy and towards addiction to forget pain of lonliness and then they start hating world especially family for leaving them in this state and manifests in nafarmani etc
