chapter 1

And there stands jodha begum in the balcony of her room staring at the darkness of night. In that darkness she can see the light in her husbands room.and her husband who is the shahansha-e-hind jalalludhin mohammed akbar is enjoying his time with his favourite wife begum-e-khaas rukkaiya.jodha's eyes were filled with tears seeing jalal and ruqqaiya together.how much she dreamed for sitting with jalal atleast for a minute.but he never visisted her.not only him no one in agra except rahim visited her.rahim was jalals second wife salimas son.salima hated jodha but rahim loves her.thinking about hatred her mind drifted to amer ,her birth place.she was considered to be the bad luck of and amer because it was only after her birth raja bharmal started losing his states to mughals.but less the knew that she was the luck of amer. But her dadisa always loved her and cared for her.but she never experienced the love of parents.her dadi used to tell her that she would get love of a mother from her mother in law.but jodha never knew that her mother in law will hate her too.

"jodha...jodha come and have you food plss...for gods sake eat it".jodha was brought back from her thoughts by the sound of her best friend moti."am not hungry now.will eat afterwards"she replied to moti."jodha its been hours since you have eaten something."the concerned moti told her."moti plss leave me alone."jodha pleaded."am not going anywhere till you eat anything".moti said sternly."leave me alone its my order".and moti left the room as she is no oven to disobey queens order.as soon as she left jodha ran to a box kept in a corner and took out a small container from it.she remembered her dadis words"take this poison only if you have no other choice left.only if someone tries to harm you".thinking about her dadisas words she rushed to the glass of water and mixed the poison in it.catching the glass in her hand she ran to the Krishna mandir in her room.she sat in front of her kahna and dranks the poison...

Chapter 2

Moti after coming out of jodhas room went to the maids cottage and due to tiredness went to sleep.she thought that she will go to jodha after taking a nap.but due to the long day moti forgot to wake up and go to jodha.

IN JODHAS ROOM

Jodha was lying unconscious near the kanha idol when rahim entered. It was midnight and rahim was not feeling to sleep as he didn't his chotti ammijan(jodha)that day.so rahim came to jodhas room without telling salima.when he saw jodha he thought that jodha would have fallen asleep while praying.he went near jodha and turned her face to his side.but as soon as he saw jodhas face he got shocked.her face had turned blue due to the poison.he thought jodha would be playing a prank on him and kept on calling her name until he saw blood coming out of jodhas mouth.he didn't know what to do.so he thought he will tell jalal first.

IN JALAL ROOM

Ruqqaiya was sleeping on his bed.jalal doent like anyone sleeping on his bed.but he knows that there is no point in arguing with ruks about this.so he allowed her to sleep.

He was standing near the window looking at jodhas room.there was light in her room and he wondered why hasn't jodha slept yet.he never loved jodha.but he doesn't hate her too.he have always loved the way jodha speaks with him,her courage,her kindness etc.but because of his ego he was never able to love jodha.dont know why jalal wasn't feeling sleepy today.his mind was telling that something bad is going to happen but he didn't know what is it.he came out of his thoughts when he heard a child crying behind him.he turned and saw rahim standing there.he quickly took rahim iin his hands and asked the matter.rahim:"shahanshah...chotti ammijan...chotti ammijan...".rahim couldn't complete the sentence.jalal kept rahim down and rushed to jodhas room.he don't know why but his mind was praying for jodha.he wished that se was safe and secure.

JODHAS ROOM

As he entered jodhas room,he was struck with fear seeing her lying down.he quickly went near her and took her in embrace.he was shocked to the core seeing her body which has turned blue.without wasting any time he made laid jodha on the bed and called for hakim.

HOURS LATER

The hakims was treating jodha and hamida banu,gulbadhan begum,salima,and ruqqaiya was waiting for jodha to open her eyes so that they can shout at her for destroying the names of musgal begums.but there were three souls in that room who was praying for her well being.rahim,moti and JALAL.

Jalal doent knw why but all of sudden his mind was filled with the fear of losing jodha.all of sudden he felt some sort of emptiness and loneliness.he was hurt as he know he is one reason for jodhas suicide.He wanted her back as the same jodha who love to fight with him.the jodha which he loved to tease.his eyes started to shed tears for the first time.he never cried when his abbu died.but now SHAHANSHA-E-HIND JALALLUDHIM MOHAMMED AKBAR was crying fir someone whom he thought he never loved.but the truth is that he without his own knowledge have always loved JODHA more than anyone...
