All humans are black and white no one can be only black or only white they are saints than
Ruqaiah was always self centered - usually western society is encouraged to think individually(ones happiness first) and Asian society will think collectively(in terms of family, society happiness first). She think Akbar is no longer hers and jodha took him away so she is scared she will be lonely rest life and wants a child from Akbar to be with her and also give her authority thru that child.
While the other Mughals are collective by thinking. That is they sacrifice their happiness for their family, friends and society. Like how jalal married salima to save her from maham anga and give Rahim his name and protect his life, like how jalal married ruqaiah because his parents told, how Akbar tolerated adham and maham's grave crimes because he was indebted and considered them as family, how jodha married Akbar to save amer and her brothers, how hamida married humayun although she loved hindal. But Akbar was lucky he is a guy so he can marry many even those he does not want to and then ignore them.
There are benefits and otherwise in both ways of thinking.
In western style - people chase their own dreams, family and society have no rights to interfere, so people are more successful and happy to have done what they want to do, they usually have no regrets in life when they die as they did what they want. But they are usually lonely without family protection in time of issues and bad times. But govt fills that role with unemployment benefits and taking care of them in old age.
In Asian style- people do as per society and family wish especially girls(very rarely men have to give up their dreams for family and society its usually girls who are expected). So people usually die unhappy and frustrated not having truly done what they wanted to do all life and having followed others will and wish. Further this frustration leads to lots of mental and health issues and simmering hatred and anger too which manifests in physical voilence towards weaker family members like wife bashing, children bashing, abusing aged parents, forcing children to do what they wanted to do etc. Women are anyway not financially that well off and society do not allow single/divorced woman so wife shall never leave and run off no matter what husband does. Similarly husbands are scarede to admit their wives are abusive and over dominating like Akbar. Parents are scared to admit their children hit them in old age and abuse them. Children are scared to admit their parents are misbehaving. All that frustration builds up and its a cycle from one generation to another.
So both styles are wrong a mixture of both are better
See ruqaiah today she is isolated in family no one loves her cares for her because she only thinks of her happiness first
Look at jodha she is family family now she is separated from baby hussain and abused by ruqaiah
Akbar is also getting misbehaved by ruqaiah and has no where to go. he cannot divorce her and take an over bearing wife all life
So no human is truly happy in life by both ways

hmmm...interesting! when i started watching the show i did not know rajat nor paridhi as actors..i started watching around october, and also i had no preferences of the characters at that time..i used to watch ruk jalal and jodha and thought it was normal to feel what ruk was feeling...as she could see jalal's attraction towards jodha..the jealousy was natural..but never hated her to the extend that i wanted this character eradicated in jalal's life because she was the chief wife after all and she would remain gray and i made peace with her character..it was only with time that rajat's brilliant performance made me grow more drawn towards jalal's character and its rajat who has still kept my interest intact and its because of him i started reading more about the real akbar and his achievements and feel sad when i do not get to see what i want to see!

She despite knowing how much Husain needs and loves his own mother, has isolated him completely, such a woman can only be hated beyond redemption. Jo trusted her with her child, agreed Jo was stupid enough of give up her child, but even then it is HUGE sacrifice to me made by a mother, even after this Ruk as been deliberately shut her out of her baby's upbringing, and not just that has openly been thankless and insulting towards Jo - do you still need any more reason for antipathy against Ruk ?

i agree to that but that is ruk na and she has been like that from the beginning and it was jodha's decision to give the child to ruk, she should not have!

Bcz ruk deserves to b hatred... To hate a person they need not b a charcoal black character... The so called grey character rukayya (I feel it's black) is also hated... It's JODHA AKBAR show... Except leads all other characters r need not b glorified... But here in name of glorifying actress they r glorifying her character and screen space was given to her more than leads which is not at all needed... Jodha is jalal's love and Salima is nxt begum who is given importance as good advisor in watevr serials and movies I saw related akbar in many languages... How many tracks wil b dedicated to this ruakyya evil?? Her mc track, divorce track, harem elections track, fake preg track, war track , kids sharing track,,, this serial is no more JODHA AKBAR its rukayya her jealousy her evil ness her harem,,,

i would like to see jalal and salima together as well as they had a daughter together in reality i believe but ruk was his chief begum and ekta has made her a vamp that is why so much screen space!

Her insulting jodha making her to suffer and Ruklal bakwas scenes r main reason for me to hate her... And in this track she crossed all limits of evilness... Zeenat and she looks same in evilness ... I wanted her face and zeenat face in ravan ten heads and get burnt... She is no more a queen almost behaving like selfish bandhi...

i do not hate her to that extent and do not mind ruqlal scenes as it looks more realistic when they show them together after all it was an era of polygamy!

No need to b shocked to see her hatred in people... Any common perisn who watches JA wil hate her... See in FB Twitter media articles in our forum and many other places wer she was badmouthed bcz of her cheapness... If it's ten or twenty people u may get doubt but 90 percent of people who watches JA hates her and its a fact...

i am not quite shocked but am thinking there are other things to be more worried about and that is the quality of the show which is deteriorating by the day!

I just love n admire our lovely soul mates of Ashutosh Gowariker n Ekthas epic

a very neutral and healthy approach i must say but all i wish the quality improves as it was in the beginning and now look at the dek scene how pathetic that was!

Mandy, all these prediction are making me laugh too - Ruqs remained an integral part of Akbar's life - and was one of his 3 chief queens - as for his relations with her then one thing about Akbar was that he always maintained his dignity as well as the other person's dignity so his relation with Ruqs whether far or near would always have been cordial and dignified - as for anything else well the ppl concerned are long dead and gone toh abb iska khulasa koi nahin kar sakta - the problem arises when one uses the 21st century lens to view a 16th century set up.

adi very well said and what mature thinking! the problem is that the younger lot is scrutinizing with the lens of 21st century rather than giving it a second thought that it was an era of polygamy and there were lots of ruks and jodhas in the harem and how many could akbar throw out of his life😆

i think jalal cares for ruk, look how happy he was seeing her happy and also wants jodha to be happy and that is why protecting her rights as well..after all he was the husband of many and it was his responsibility to take care of his wives and not kick them out..as they say charity begins at home..if an emperor cannot handle his own family disputes how can he manage the sultanat!
