The CV's can do almost anything with Akbar, helped somewhat by his story book like life history, most of which is duly recorded. And they can invent their own scenarios when that is insufficient, and they can show him any light they want in these.

This freedom to depict, is not possible for characters like Maharana Pratap or Sivaji or maybe even Asoka. There, even the slightest deviation from heroism and nobility, there will be protests.
