Much needed points , valid post..! 👍🏼

There are so much antipathy towards both of the characters..I just want people to extract positivity from each track..There is no other mean to find out logical characterization as they were now very much keen riding along with ratings..So its cv's fault in flicking their sketches then and there..Ekta promised a show JA based on human emotional side based on historical facts , focused with political aspects too..Now ,actually sketches drawn out based on their tagline , as their scripts revolving around JA which was dealing with inner emotions , pain ,guilt traversing all way in concerned characters.. I agreed ,he is a splendid and true warrior , but how can he overcome all his difficulties without any flaws ?? ..He had undergone many wars in that century right..? who knows that he might got trapped from any of his enemies , he too have undergone some challenging persona included emotional turmoil, fighting for a truth, ..Why people can't view akdha under one frame..That was a pure logic by cv's who were penned down scripts in current tracks, that was a actual equivalence sustained in their tagline..In initial around 250 episodes we got some golden moments and memorable episodes , which includes best in intruding some real facts fused with some reel scripts ..If people really wants a historical facts then they must switch off to Akbar-The great show ..This show completely based on historical epic saga , in which concerned leads crossing all hurdles , toughest patches , gambling cards played around kingdom dealing with political aspects and successful journey in sorting out issues on political administration including wars...As this show never promised as male centric one or female centric one its always a beautiful combo of JA..We can see their compatibility , divergence ,empathy dealing with unconditional love , trust and emotional bonding traversing through out their journey..Its not Jo or Ja turn its all a combined task ..! love and adore them equally..! JA rocks..! ❤️

Ekta had a vast research before propounding this project..Right now she is playing her cards as it goes on battle field in chasing race..So it doesn't mean everytime to criticize the actors or actress...Better she knows to handle it well...Let us enjoy the drama...😊

I also love Akbar but more as a person who became a great ruler rather than a superhuman who could never make a mistake. 😊

Hi Radhika,
I am relatively new in the forum, have read ur last two threads. I must say u r a fabulous writer.
When it comes to Jodha, the antipathy towards her is not new in the forum. I can see some people really really hate her. I have been here in IF for a month. Before that I was a silent reader. I used to get amazed with the sheer amount of hatred bestowed upon Jodha in some posts. I wonder if the majority of audience were sharing even 1/3rd of the same hatred/abhorrence for the female protagonist, the serial would have vanished from our TV screen long ago. Fortunately this is not what happened.
Jodha is criticized for almost everything she does or says, sometimes even for things she doesn't. It is actually quite funny to look at. Jodha being the female lead generally comes out victorious from every mess created around her and then her critics start bashing the cvs n production house for giving her character excessive importance, showing her right all the time. If she makes a mistake, then she will be bashed again. If she says sorry, her critics will develop selective amnesia and very conveniently forget it. Later it will be said that she never apologises for any of her mistake. Sometimes they don't even wait for the episodes to telecast, start their rants after seeing promo/ precap itself. I cannot fathom out why she is still not let off for supporting Shahnaz against Todarmal. I am a big Todarmal fan myself but I think this is the way cvs planned to prove his greatness and loyalty for Akbar. This was certainly not the first time an innocent was blamed for a heinous crime in the serial.
I agree with Giannita 63 to some extent. I think the part of the hatred was for the actress playing it and not for the character itself. There were certain reports that she refused to do some elaborate intimate scenes in the serial and many were disappointed with it. Few members demanded the replacement of the actress very openly. I remember, there was a thread regarding these in the forum. So the bashing or criticism whatever u may call it will continue until that (U know what) happens. But with the consistent TRP and popularity of the actress among TRP audience, I don't see that happening anytime soon. So we all have to live with it.
The show has some serious problems to deal with. I am not denying that. Sometimes the tracks given to us are illogical.Character inconsistency, bad direction, bad editing, outrageous negative characters taking over more screen space than the leads are some of the shows actual drawbacks. Sometimes I get so irritated by all these that I take temporary breaks from d show but my love for Akdha do not let me stay away for long. It is astonishing to see Jodha being blamed for everything bad happens on screen and the actress for everything bad off screen. I am not an ardent fan of any of these actors but it is bizarre. Come on!! She must be good right, that's why the ph and channel is bearing with her.I have nothing to do with the actress but I love the character she plays.I understand if someone does not like her but he/she can do very little about it. I feel very bad when I see the hatred for the actress overshadowing the character Jodha, and her genuine qualities are ruthlessly scoffed at.
It is just my view and everyone is welcome to agree or disagree with me.I just share my experience with the TM. The post is not to offend anyone and sorry if it actually does so.

Impiya,

Welcome to our forum! 😊

You have expressed yourself beautifully. I agree with you that neither Jodha nor PS can be blamed for problems with the script. Jodha is a wonderful character and I love her, just as much as I love Jalal too. 😳

Please do keep posting. I love your views.

These r the main problem to few people in this forum...hai na!!
Why is this vindictive perception against Jodha? is it Jodha's fault that she is lady? has Jodha no right to stand for herself against enemies?
I m fully aware that the great emperor Akbar wasn't ever caught by his enemies as he was a great warrior but its not meant he is an Omnipotent!! If dramatization way cvs show Jalal is in perilous situation n isn't able to recuse his harem so harem ladies have taken initiative to struggle for their self respect, where is problem here?
In serial many times Akbar has humiliated his begum Jodha in public places, accused her as infidel...My question this was ever done my real Akbar in history? definitely never was happened. then if Jodha's humiliation from Jalal could have been appreciated in this forum then where is problem to appreciate fiery queen Jodha who has stood for surviving her n whole harem ladies self prejudice!!!!
Even i also want to see Jalal is in full action but has it time to show been over yet?
Largely, Jalal is in captive this isn't the root problem of this forum rather why Jodha is showing strong despite she is a lady this is the main issue of this forum.

Excellent post Radhika.👏

Thanks Nabiii!

Wow, you are equally fiery as Jodha. Your post blew my mind away. 👏👏👏

Wonderful post Radhika and many thanks for this!!!❤️

Sadly, few members of this forum never liked Jodha..its not new..it was always there..anything inconsistent in the show, blame it to Jodha..this has been the atmosphere here...the antipathy is for trying to show JJ as equal and brave..for them it is shameful for Akbar!😕 the show was never Akbar the Great but Jodha Akbar..besides people already know about Akbar..how great he is..nothing more to know..but very less people know about Jodha, her heroic acts, her bravery..if Ekta is showing this, what is the problem???😕😕

anyway, I understand the frustration on portraying Jalal in this track..Jalal seriously made fool here which I too hated and cringed! but as u said this particular war, capturing Jalal never happened in history, it is only dramatization and to gain TRP, then why so fuss?? just because Jodha is leading and other ladies saving themselves, does it mean Jalal is demeaned?? iska matlab many here would have been fine if Jodha and gang consumed poison??!!😕 what is wrong if she decides to fight back and save themselves till Jalal arrives?? from where does it demean Jalal??🤔 Jalal will escape by himself and also will join Jodha to finish the war! didnt Jodha say he will come to rescue, till then they all need to fight? what is the hue and cry for??😕
And I feel had it not been Jodha, but Ruqaiyya or Salima or any lady, people would have been fine!🤢

u know Radhika, it happens only in forums..that too by very few members..TRP audience love this and they dont even give a damn.

the hatred for Jodha is too much here, and sadly women in this forum r against in this track whereas they were supposed to cheer!

Jalal was, is and always will be the greatest among all...to show him greatest one doesnt need to make others look stupid nor show him doing heroic acts every now and then!

the track hasn't finished yet, lot more to come so before cursing Ekta little patience will help.

I love JJ equally!! and I will always cheer for them.❤️

Tamy,

Thanks for posting such a lovely comment. Loved the bold lines esp.

We can accept Jalal as a great king without seeing any proof. But we need to see what made Jodha so great because we don't know much about her. 😊

Radhika, a great post!

I can't help but marvel at what kind of a society we live in. It is the same people who will stand up to make men and women equal but at the same time bash a character and blame her for butchering another character! What kind of double standards are these? Were those women supposed to accept their fate and kill themselves? Don't they have the right to fight back against the man who had set his sights on them? Is it only the man who has to save the woman? Can't the woman defend herself? Why is she always expected to be the quintessential damsel in distress?
Personally, I am unfazed about all the character butchering happening in the show, I just take things as they come. I agree some facts get easily distorted under the guise of dramatization. This war itself is fictional! Why is no one criticising that aspect? Doesn't that constitute as butchering of history as well? I agree that they are showing Akbar stupid at times, but don't we all end up doing silly and idiot when we get emotional? Isn't Akbar a human as well? Now that he has discovered his heart, won't he feel basic emotions on seeing his long-lost sister?
The biggest mistake that is being made here is that without thinking and analysing the plot further, we have started bashing characters! The precap clearly showed that things were different than what we perceived them to be! Yet Jodha was getting bashed yesterday! For what? She had just galvanised the women of the harem to fight for themselves! I still don't get how was she involved in Jalal's capture and subsequent entrapment!
I neither like Jalal nor Jodha more! I like them both equally! To me they both are strong personalities. They are the two sides of the same coin and cannot be pulled apart!

Ann and Tamy,

I also wish Abhay were here to tell us more about this war, if it really happened, and if what is being shown presently is true. 😕

This present track is very interesting. much better than the harem politics and FP tracks. How I miss discussing it in detail.

Wish more people would accept that JA were normal humans underneath their royalty and thought and behaved like us. Surely, they can't be expected to be great/mahan right from birth. That journey to greatness takes time. 😊 Instead of getting impatient, we'd do better to enjoy their journey.

@Lyra: When is ur next update coming? Waiting eagerly...🤓

Radhika I just liked Jodha character especially in this 2 episodes, where Jodha fell shocked seeing her husband warrior dress with blood stains, the realization that AM is saying truth and confidence that Jalaal will come back and giving courage words to all harem ladies to fight instead of opting poision and finally all harem ladies together fight this war for their protection..

What vent wrong is the way CVS showed Jalaal portrayal a while ago.

1. TM Track : I worst track for both JJ.. I just hated both of them. Atleast Jodha believed Shenu is right & fought for her in the court with evidence, what Jalaal did ? Jalaal believed that TM is right but what he still announce death sentence ? Where is the king ? Can't he announce death sentence after a week and he himself investigate and put evidence of TM innocent & shenu is lying and acting ..

Jalal tried to investigate but all evidence pointed against Todarmal. Todarmal didn't help matters by keeping mum. As a king, Jalal has to go by evidence. Even if he feels otherwise, he cannot go by his hunches. Or people will say he saved Todarmal for personal reasons and is not a just king. Jalal therefore did the right thing. This track actually showed us just how tough it is to be a king. This track also showed the maturity level of the relationship between JJ. Though they disagreed on the case, they didn't let it affect their personal equation.

2. Shenu declared war : It was shenu who declared war, but why Jalaal did AAPA Jaap, when Atgah, JO, Ruku & HB have to came forward to tell him that he should go for war... Jalaal is a king, how can he choose Shenu above his people, why he is shown emotionally weak when he has to be shown strong saying His People come first ? He will be winner in this war, as he did nothing to CB and will show Shenu how wrong she is ?

Even in reality, Jalal was kind to his relatives and even non-relatives who revolted against him or attacked him. He was known to forgive his enemies many times. At present in the show, Jalal is shown to be in an emotional dilemma - caught between his sister and his father's will on one hand and the war on the other hand.

Being a naturally good human being, he believed in his sister and wanted to help her when he thought she was in danger. His goodness was misused and he was taken captive by deceit. But soon Nigar will learn the truth of Mahachuchak Begum, Mahamanga and Jalal. Then when she repents, Jalal will not need to feel guilty that he had never tried to reach out to her and clear her misunderstanding. Even in our family, if we have a misunderstanding with a sibling and they temporarily turn against us, don't we try to reconcile them? Jalal was also a human like us and we have to accept his kindness and love for family as part of his character. These qualities were what made him great, not his ruthlessness on the war field.

While they somewhat bring back Jo character, but those 2 tracks CVS butched Jalaal character showing him emotional weak and in this track Jalaal blindly believing Shenu & get captivated.. Atleast Jalaal captivate is OK, as he believed he is in danger, but accepting the defeat before the war is not good for any KIing leave Akbar..

Even a great king can have moments of weakness and doubt. It is only a great king who can look at his doubts and accept them. And try to overcome them before the war starts. What would have been the result if Akbar had kept all his doubts within himself, embarrassed to discuss them with others and gone to war with those doubts assailing him?

Now I want to see Jalaal atleast leave AApa Jaap & fight back for the sake of his people as a king..

Jalal will definitely fight back. 😊
