First, A Mini-Baashan from me 😆

I wanted to start off with a few words on positivity and what I believe it to be. Positivity to me is being able to smile amidst the negativity. Life, the show, the forum is never going to be completely perfect. The important thing is to be able to smile about what you like amidst it or else what is the strength of your positivity?

And, we all watch the show for different things and so there is no way everyone can be happy at the same time. Hence, if you did not like something you should feel free to express it and vent it out. It is unhealthy to keep it within yourself. That is what the forum is for. And this is why this thread always encourages all points of view.

Sorry for the baashan but I am not sure what this new trend of positivity policing is. There have been threads like Jalal is a rakshaas, Jalal is a fool, Jodha has no self-respect for months. What has changed now?

Naari Shakthi and insistence of many that if you don't hail naari shakti whatever be your personal opinions you are a basher and negativity spreader.

I hope everyone continues to respect all views on this forum because that is what made this forum always special.

An emerging view on this track:

In the past, there was frustration because Jalal was shown weak so that Jodha could save him, whether that was the Tasneem track, Ben track, etc. But, today , Jodha and women were strong to save themselves (not Jalal) and that spirit and action is what I will applaud.

Never mind, tomorrow her family will save Jalal.😳. Atleast it is expected so.

I am not sure why the CVs showed Jalal weak in this track at all ... To show his emotional weakness with relatives, the emotional bond between Jodha and Jalal, pure Sholay style drama? Only the CVs know the answer to that.

Because to show Jodha and the women defending themselves, they did not need to show a weak Jalal. So, I would enjoy the naari shakti as it is a completely separate point and lament the weakness of Jalal (which may now be over) as a separate point and a pure stupidity of the CVs!

However deftly you frame words, it is undeniable that both are linked. This week naari shakthi has been established at the cost of Jalal's valour and common sense.

In addition, Jalal has defeated Abul Mali in hand-to-hand combat and that too unarmed ... So it is not like they are showing the women do something Akbar could not. Jalal's mistake was only one: blindly trusting and following Nigar.

But it was clearly stated that Jalal was boo hoo ing before the war and he admitted to his army being less prepared and in smaller numbers. He kept talking about death and was in dumb spirits. Abul Maali army was hinted to have been more in number and not easy to defeat. To show women defeat them with home techniques and only half a dozen trained in warfare was farce. I am not against women empowerment. But this was more of a ridiculous spectacle. If Abul Mali's army was shown less formidable and Jalal in high spirits till he was duped by aapaji it would have been more acceptable.

And to be honest, if Nigar had come to the harem ladies as if she had escaped from MahaC and Abul Mali and to save her, Jodha would also have believed it and then Shehnaaz could have taken someone in the harem as hostage to win the war.

So, with that, this take is to appreciate the power of women and the return of Jalal:

(1) Jodha's leadership and inspiration: Jodha was a true leader today as she inspired the women to action but was not shown doing all the action. That is a true leader ... Knowing how to leverage his / her resources.

She was. But I liked her better yesterday. She was flawless yesterday. The breaking down on seeing the blood stained apparels, catching Abul Maali lies, analysing the situation and motivating others was very good. Today it was too dramatic.

(2) Ruq- Jodha bonding in a time of need: I loved how Ruq's rose to the occasion. In a time of need, she wiped aside all her prejudices against Jodha, and supported Jodha's effort.

The other begums must have realized that if Ruq has been convinced by Jodha, they better get convinced. 😉

I also liked how the CVs gave her prominence by first shooting at Abul Mali, continuing to fight with the arrow when she lost the bow, and continuing to stand guard with a sword after Jodha saved her from Abul Mali. 👏

How much a common danger or common pain bonds people. They might have been on shaky terms at Agra but here they were united as Jalal's begums to fight a common enemy. Wonder how long it would last. When things settle down will the old differences crop up or will these memories last?

But all prominence will vanish ultimately. Efforts by other begums and baandhies will be forgotten too. Only JC will be sung.

(3) A true team effort: I also liked how the whole planning to execution was shown as a team effort. Everyone played a role in the planning from Gulbadan with the mirchi to Zakira with the poison.

And in the fighting, everyone was shown in the effort with Resham and Javeda throwing mirchi and even Maham Anga was impressive with the sword. Even Salima was shown helping Jodha!

All in all, an amazing team effort! 👏

As I had said in Ela's thread In all it was a "Ladies Alone" or "Harem Alone".

"They have all kinds of new weapons" reminded me of the dialogues of Harry and Marv. But Macaulay Culkins was infinitely cuter.

(4) The defeat of Abul Mali: What a beautiful sight to see Abul Mali defeated on the ground by Jodha ... And loved Jodha's word and sword attack. Now that is a double punch!

Now, who is waiting for Shehnaaz's turn! 😉

Defeat of Grinit Praani. His ex was Grinit Jantu. What a grinit pair!🤣

(5) Jalal the sher returns: I hated the torture of Jalal today and again I am not sure why it was shown. It looks like he is saved by Maan Singh and we will have to see how it is played out.

Sher? 😡 I am tooo angry with him and I don't want to insult the king of the forest.

Honestly time for Jalalluddin Mohammed Akbar to retire and take sun bath in beaches, play snooker and dip cookies in chai and relax. His great begums led by his greatest begum will manage his sultanate, fight wars and prove naaari shakthi to the seeti maars of naaaris 5 centuries later.

I am glad to see the "zakhmi sher" in action! But, if it takes a zakhm to drive Jalal into action, the next time they send him to war, they better give him a small wound in addition to the tilak and aarti. 😆
🤣

Jokes apart, what are your thoughts on the episode and the take?
Episode-😔🤣
Take-👏

Hi Adia.. I'm curious to know one more bit..was he really a ruthless emperor in initial stage of life as portrayed in this serial?

my confusion is regarding MA

why was MA fighting
she is not a well wisher of jalal now
she wants jalal to lose and nigar to win
she had even made plans to unite with nigar
so why was she fighting today
was that all just for a show ?

Great take five Divya.👏 Loved ur bhashan.😆 Well, today I liked atleast one thing. They showed both Jo & Ruq fighting with AM together which looked realistic. I enjoyed the episode but I would have enjoyed it more if it was any other show than "Jodha Akbar". Whatever is being shown doesn't match to a historical show like JA. I m not saying they should show history completely but the events should match to the 16th century set up. And its a reality that in those times men were dominating women. Even if they are not showing this, I would be happy If they were showing the equality b/w man & woman. But here females seem to dominate males which is highly unrealistic keeping the 16th century set up in the mind. Women's portrayal looks more of a 21st century & that too of a typical saas bahu show. I wish if a male producer could produce this show rather than EK. Anyways, no offence to anyone. We have to watch the show without logic & that's the only way to enjoy it. Waise, PariJat/AkDha are a strong reason to watch the show for me.

So putting all the logic aside, I loved the female war. It was hilarious actually. I was laughing out loud during the whole episode.😆😆 All the women rocked.👍🏼 And HB, GB & Jijianga surprised me a lot. And I liked MA too.😳Javeda & Resham ne bhi kamal kiya.😆 Pari, Lavina & Manish did superb job today👏(Though its not easy for a woman to fight tying her child on the back & it requires a lot of practice & experience).

yes todays epi was good .. but I dont knw somehow I am not satisfied completely maybe becoz the way jodha is being hailed at the cost of Akbar is somewhat pinching me ... I even mentioned in adia's thread that I am not against feminism but by weakning Akbar & showing him helpless is something that is crap ... which I do not support ... they could have shown them as equals by Akbar fighting with mali &co ... & harem fighting with Chuchak & shenu ... rather I would have been happy with this type of NR's ... currently I am in a dilemma sweetheart ... I knw not what to say 😕 or u can say I am not that happy yaar ...😭

Varsha, I know it is a tough spot ... But, can you be mad at Jodha that Jalal is shown weak? You need to appreciate what Jodha has done. It is not like she asked Jalal to be weak.

You can be mad at the CVs for thinking that Jodha would look stronger if Jalal is weaker ... But I think in history she was strong, because she was able to stand up and make a difference among strong men. So, the CVs should show the men as strong.

Well if we forget about Jalal then today's epi wasn't bad. It was funny and OTT and illogical. But I like it. U said the reasons in ur top 5. Like the way all woman worked together, everyone contributed what they could and fight for themselves.
But u know my Problem Divya. I can never see Jalal week. Akbar beaten up by like this. For months we all r waiting for our TE to return but he never did. In every track we expected to have him a plan B but he never had.I really love my Jallad a lot. But the cvs don't show him anymore. Its really disappointing.
I always tell u na dont keep hope Divya. But all this time I had 1% hope that maybe he has a plan, Maybe I will get my TE back. But after seeing the precap again disappointed. The only reason I can't leave watching this show is RT. He made open the tv at 8.30 everyday to watch JA.
Finally I accepted Divya our TE is dead and he is never coming back.

Thanks Taby. I know you are frustrated on Jalal's character portrayal ... And so are we all.

Never say never on TE 😆

As for your first para - can I say ye ye - just like a British parliamentarian?

After a long time, I'm voicing my opinion here dear and doing so only because it's your thread😊

I don't know why, but the positive policing here is getting just as overwhelming as the bashing was a few months ago (of both leads)
India forums was and never will be a fanpage - it is a forum where healthy discussions are welcome. It is as much a debate corner as much as it is a place to post beautiful pictures of the leads. Anyone knows some debates do turn heated once in a while - if the language used is offensive, then I can understand raising one's hands in the air in protest - but these days, it appears like no one is allowed to say anything at all!

Besides, some of the comments by the positivists here are getting just as acidic as those of the strong critics/bashers a few months ago.
Members like you, myself, Sunny etc who used to have loads of fun making fun of the episodes - basically because we appreciated the leads' work in it - would have to think twice before posting anything now and this shouldn't be the case.
If there was no criticism, how would one learn to look at the other side of the coin at all? How would we know what is good/bad - how would we learn of new viewpoints/ideologies?

As long as one's language/terminology is within limits, I would like the mods to make it clear that constructive criticism is very much welcome. Turning that away from the forum will only make it a fanpage! This is a serial forum - and this place should be a home for everyone be it Pro Jalal/Pro Jodha/Pro Jodha Jalal/Pro Ruqaiyya/Pro MA/Pro Ekta - everyone should be free to express what they like and didn't like about the episode!

Frankly speaking, I find yours and Ela's viewpoints most balanced around here - appreciative of ALL characters in the show (Even Ruqs and MA) which is such a rarity in the forum - picking out the flaws when they're definitely there - and honestly voicing what you feel about the episode while making sure your language always remains dignified!!!

Kudos 👍🏼

Thanks so much writer-e-khaas ... Lovely words and agree with it all 🤗

Sadly our views on reel characters are spreading to real people

I am so glad you feel comfortable posting in my thread and hope everyone does
