In history akbar dominated all his begums...jahangir was dominated by nur jahan. ..showing nurjahan the way they are showing jodha is justified but showing jodha dominating akbar is not only unrealistic, its high level distortion of history!

Akbar didn't dominate MUZ. They were a happy loving couple with a wonderfully balanced relationship. He gave her the freedom of expressions, the authority to issue orders and a cavalry of 10,000. Agreed that Akbar's portrayal yesterday was shocking but I think we have to be patient and see the whole thing play out.😊

For a moment, forgetting everything about this horrible scenario, just imagine: wouldn't it be fun to watch the ladies fight?😆

akbar had qualities of leadership and there are very few people that possess that quality and he was the blessed one!

If issuing orders to a cavalry of 10000 was so great, then how great was ruling the whole of Hindustan, commanding the most organised and capable army, running a very smooth and planned administration ,patronizing art and literature to great heights and uniting a diverse land? If the 10000 cavalry leader is glorified by making a fool out of that great Emperor it is not a very enjoyable natakiya roopantar na.

Every human being has good and bad points. As you mentioned above, Akbar did all of the above. But, he is also the one who banned the Gutenberg Press. That measure put back scientific research in India by decades, maybe even a century. Akbar was a great liberal as we all know, but he is the one who banned the marriage of Mughal princesses. Can any measure be more cruel?

A human being is complex, one cannot make generalizations. The same man is capable of both incredibly bravery and cowardice, of great insight and foolishness, of total lack of empathy and too much emotion.

Here are some facts

Jehangir wife Jodh Bai (not Akbar's wife hira) was also incharge of more than 15,000 cavalary

Once Persian army attacked when both Akbar and Salim were not in Lahore fort(where his harem was located) So Jodha Bai army stopped Persian army which was more than 50000 for 3 days before help arrived with more mughal troops from other places. And yes the army was less than 15000 and led by her. Akbar was so impressed that he gave her a honorary subha(although i guess it was Salim who would handle it) also made her commander of cavalary strength that was next only to Akbar, Jehangir and Man Singh(although Salim was incharge of that cavalary too since Jodh Bai never faced such situation ever again or required those forces again). Salim/Jehangir was a good strategist but not a great warrior but Khurram/Shah Jahan was both and its said he got the strategy from father and warrior blood from mother. And if you read history Jehangir never waged wars hardly handful he was not interested in expanding empire. But he was good at stopping rebellions before/just after they started. But Shah Jahan was a very competent warrior as well as great strategist.

Similarly Jani Begum(Dara Sikoh) daughter led a fleeing defeated Mughal army and fought against their opponents. Aurganzeb was so impressed that he forgot all animosity(aurangzeb hated dara and his family) and she became his fav daughter-in-law

Nur Jahan led mughal army against Mahabat Khan but was losing hence surrendered to be with Jehangir. But Nur Jahan unofficially was incharge of all the mughal army that accounted to 10 lakhs as defactor ruler and ordered the commanders to defend/wage war as and when required

You are a treasure trove of knowledge regarding Nur Jahan and the other Mughals. Thank you.
