There is nothing wrong in the ladies defending themselves, but Akbar was certainly not such a spineless, senseless idiot as portrayed in the serial to leave his women to fend for themselves. Here, he can't take care of even himself.

This is sacrilege against a man who was one of the greatest warriors in the world, greatest strategist, greatest administrators and a visionary with a near divine status among his Praja. He certainly didn't live and breathe at the mercy of his wife and sasuraal. It is like showing Mahatma Gandhi as a weakling who would have been an unknown face in the world if not for his wife.
