I still feel ki jalal ka saath hona chahiye ... btw here u r saying jalal will not leave jodha & their lashy is saying since jodha has hurt his ego ... jalal will not go behind her as he is a gentleman ... ho kya raha hai

Torture?😕 The story only unfolded for 4 chapters and two weeks of time scales.

This is nothing compared to what happens to most real life couples from conservative backgrounds face. I'd already mentioned that this is meant to be a realistic portrayal of what happens in society today when two lovers from different communities/classes/religions want to get together. 😊So, no it never was meant to be a rosy - all song and dance till the end - story. I do realize that the thread gets filled up quite quickly - but friends here poured in tales of their friends/family who have had to face more than this - even the Jalals in those relationships. There have been stories of men who've waited 7 years for their girl's parents to say yes with little contact from her side. How do you think they must have been during this time? Sidelined, right? There has been a story of a lover - a guy - who actually came back after the girl was married and widowed and accepted her after that too! Aren't these men real life Jalals then? There are many gentlemen who have to needlessly face the brunt of it all for sometime till the girl comes back (and sometimes she never does) So, no I don't think its unrealistic. 😕

As for taking decisions, no one can influence Jalal in making him do something against his wishes - not even Jodha... so, he doesn't do the same to anyone else. Simple!😃

The magnanimity in Jalal's character is his 'Don't mess with me, I wouldn't mess with you' attitude. He is an alpha male but with the maturity and the surety to know when to take a back seat. If not, he'd just be one possessive (and annoying dude) who wants to interfere and make decisions for his lover all the time. The reason why she loves him so much is he is NOT that annoying dude! He is such a gentleman and a self-assured man that he knows when to give her her space. He doesn't feel threatened that she is just as independent as he is. He knows the difference between protective and possessive.

And truly speaking? This is HER life and HER family. What decisions is he meant to take about her family? It'd only make things worse for her. Do we see Jodha interfering in his family affairs? His family business? His studies? His decisions? His lifestyle? His partying and clubbing? She hasn't made him get another pet because she knows he will when his heart is ready. She doesn't pick and choose his friends for him or influence who he must speak to since she knows THOSE friends were his even before she entered his life - even though some like Renu haven't warmed up to her (That's how self-assured she is too and he appreciates her for that!). She doesn't pick his clothes for him (yeah she compliments what she likes though) Why, she hasn't even put a stop to his drinking habits - only toned it down a bit. He would love to see Jodha in a micro mini - but has he even suggested that? No, cos he knows she'd never be comfortable that way.

Remember that time outside the farmhouse when his friends broke out into a brawl. The underlying topic was 'Jodha' - yet Jalal suggested she go inside with the rest of the girls. He didn't let her be involved - and she didn't interfere either. There also she was the topic of discussion, but why didn't she butt in? Because they were HIS friends!😳

Unless something affects their health or safety - both don't really believe in 'changing' or 'making decisions' for the other. Yes, they support and give advice - but they are two independent people who know when to catch the reigns and when to leave it. The only requests she had all along was no texts messages/gifts - because really she didn't want them to get caught. Ab dekho buri tarah pakde gaye and what's happened.

She is the one who learnt her project from him, learnt statistical formulas. She is the one inspired by his debating capabilities. Learnt to love football thanks to him. Actually, she is the one who has changed massively from the start - thanks to him. In fact, she was always staying away from this dating/falling in love business - he's the one who managed to attract/change the mind of such a stubborn girl. So yes, he has influenced her more than she has him.

He is the one who influenced Jodha to go to the authorities with Shareef and using his teda tactics to make him be ousted out of college. When the texts were more benign, she completely handed him the phone number and he used his influence to track down the source - but could get no further. He is the one who influenced her to go to police to lodge a complaint against the stalker - which she has done now with her brothers. Decision to quit college was completely his own - even his Ammi had no say in it - he hid it from Jodha knowing she'd never accept it! 😕

We are seeing the story from her point of view now, only because its currently dealing with her family issues (which is a very important part of the story) - and the only time she's finally taken a decision by herself is when after NUMEROUS REAL threats to his life, she finally cannot take it anymore! Before this, has there been anything she hasn't told him or got him involved in? 😕

I think we've been fed too many romantic stories where the hero always jumps in to solve each and every problem while the heroine is just eye-candy. In real life, things rarely work that way. Educated women today are quite dominant and make their own decisions too. He is just as much the hero as she is. Now, Jodha is a lawyer who is going to present Jalal's case to her family. The reason this intelligent lawyer is ready to fight this case at all and has something to present - is ONLY and ONLY because Jalal is the exceptional guy(client/case) that he is (a testament of which we've already seen numerous times)

Hope that helped you see the story from the bigger picture point of view.. 😳
