I will paste this response on your thread- as your question is compared to Maham Anga vs. Ruqaiyya and why the punishment only for Maham Anga?

Three ways to answer the question:

(1) Depending on how you look at it ... Maham Anga could look worse and as I say in my take 5 in looked worse for the following three reasons:

- She failed in her administrative / official role of wazir-e-aliya by letting Sujamal in and causing the death of many Mughal soldiers

- She led to the public insult of a begum- Jodha

- Her intent was not only to separate Jodha and Jalal but destroy Jodha's reputation

Divya, I agree with you here, but Ruq's fake pregnancy is also related to his mom's trust, his sultanate's respect as well? Is it not related to sultanate?

(2) Why compare MA only to his forgiving Ruqaiyya? What about Shariffudin, Bakshi Bano, Adham Khan, Shivani and others ... Why are we asking this question only now?

(3) More poetic justice from the CVs ... As CVs and we know how bad Maham Anga given her long track record of murders and MCa ... But this would not apply from Jalal's POV. Many still view Ruqs as grey and understand her situation. Less so for Maham Anga.

Even though Ruq did to seek attention of Jalal, her intention was to keep Jodha from Jalal as well and she made Jodha her care taker and for that she didn't have to play with people's emotions, I will only compare MA's Sujamal fiasco to Ruq's fake pregnancy, not about MA's other khaand's since Jalal is not aware about it. So, how is Ruq's plot lesser than MA's? I m completely I'm with Jalal not making the fake pregnancy issue public, as it would have made Ruq's life miserable and she would have lost all respect, but in privacy he still could have punished her or atleast told her what he felt. But forgiving and trying to be normal was bit disappointing, but I m sure that MA will disclose this in public when she gets exposed for her khaands

To be honest Shreya, we had seen his anger yesterday. I didn't go as much into this but Raksha has expressed his understated acting with Ruqs beautifully in her post on pg 2. We also did get his outburst with Jodha today. I also liked the menacing threat while rubbing Ruq's head ... Something very threatening but subtle about it. I actually thought Rajat showed more range today.

2ndly, why CVs always tend to blame jalal for evrything??? ruku did this bcoz she loves jalal fine. but im not going to believe even at the gun point tht ruku is no more imp. yes the importance had been shared & ruku wanted it as a whole. why only jalal has to understand evrything?? why cant others do the same???

Because Jalal always looks at his fault first before blaming someone else - always; his strength is he takes responsibility for his actions

previously also whenever ruku have sum probs with jalal she went to him despite of all her insecurities. then why not now??

I think that is exactly the message Jalal was giving her now- that come to me directly henceforth

3rdly, i agree jalal & jodha saved mughal sultanate's izzat, but at least sum sort of warning should have been given ruku so tht she thinks twice before doing sumthing. yes jodha always in favor of forgiving, but thts not the right way always. i dont know but i feel today CVs made jalal look like a fool, who once again cant take decisions by himself.😕

I thought Jalal gave a very strong warning that this was her last chance; I think Jodha cooled him down to think straight but he knew it was the right decision
