'Look for someone else' Shrenu Parikh opens up on almost REJECTING Parvati in Ganesh Kartikey

After a brief hiatus, Shrenu Parikh has made a much-anticipated return to television, reprising her beloved role as Goddess Parvati in Sony SAB's recently launched show Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey. Her comeback has already created a buzz among fans, who are eager to see her charm and screen presence light up the small screen once again.

The show, which recently premiered on Sony SAB, also stars Mohit Malik as Lord Shiva, Ayudh Bhanushali as Lord Ganesha, and Subhan Khan as Lord Kartikeya. To seek blessings ahead of the show's launch, the cast visited the Thiruttani Murugan Temple in Tamil Nadu on the auspicious occasion of Skandamata's day—one of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan (Kartikeya).

Ahead of the premiere, India Forums had an exclusive opportunity to sit down with Shrenu and Mohit to get insights into their roles and the journey behind bringing these iconic characters to life.

During the conversation, Shrenu revealed how, after numerous look tests and a moment of doubt, she felt as if divine guidance had helped everything fall into place. She shared, "End number of look tests. Merko kasam se ek baar rona aa gaya tha." (I swear, there was a moment I just broke down.) Upon hearing this, Mohit was taken aback, and Shrenu laughed, teasing him that he doesn't know this.

She continued, "Aur mene team ko bola tha shayad aap logo ko kuch aur chahiye, you look for someone else. Aur phir Mata Rani phir se aa gayi, and was like Rukh jaa beta, and the next day everything was settled.

(And I told the team maybe you all want something else, you should look for someone else. And then Mata Rani came again and was like, ‘Stop, child,’ and the next day everything was settled.)

I was there ready in my avatar, and till date, I mean, all my looks are beautiful. Meri 10 Mahavidya hai, Kali look everything matlab aashirwaad hai, mujhe pata nahi samajh nahi aa raha kaise kya ho gaya matlab it's just beautiful."

(I had 10 Mahavidya-inspired looks, the Kali look, everything, it felt like a blessing. I honestly don’t know or understand how it all happened, it’s just beautiful.)
