This Post is one of my Best...!!!

Green Part by Mansi(Skanda12)
And, Black part by Maddy...

****************************************************************************************************

My comments on this episode:

When two people are married they usually take vows that they will stick by each other through "thick and thin". In most ordinary people's lives this "thick and thin" is usually about life's everyday difficulties like financial troubles, mishaps to the family, inter-relationship troubles and so on. I almost forgot that in the life of a King and Queen not only are there all the ordinary types of family troubles, but the "thick and thin" can actually involve also life-endangering physical battles with lethal enemies.

Yesterday when Jodha and Jalal fought shoulder to shoulder against inimical forces, where they trusted each other to hold up their ends of the fight and also to protect one another, where they took pride in their warrior blood and royal upbringing, and where they actually wielded deadly weapons and killed men around them like they were pesky ants, I saw what the marriage vows really meant to them.

It is not easy being the King and Queen of a whole Sultanate forever surrounded by assassination-driven enemies gunning for your life. In the real life of a King and Queen there cannot be room for physical differences between man and woman when death hangs outside every door and there is no place of safety, not even home. In fact the most treacherous of places is their home. With so much to ward off as evil and inimical, how can a Queen afford to be less than the greatest sipahi to really protect her King, her husband and her suhaag?

We have heard high tales of women who burnt themselves after their husbands were killed in war and that is often cited as the heights of bravery among royal women. But what Jalal challenged Jodha to do yesterday is to not give away her life after he went - but to fight for her life and to fight for his life too ... in the same way that he fought for himself and for her. Fighting to live is far more courageous than dying to ward off evil.

All this talk of women being inferior, unequal or weak was not a story that this great man was going to buy. He had a wife in a million and he knew just what she was capable of. He would not have let her cower from fear behind a tree yesterday. He gave her a sword in her hand and said "You do it during practice. Now show what you can do in real war. Go for it!"

In the 16th century such equality between men and women was rarer, for sure, but look at the world we live in today. Such equality between men and women isn't even found in the present century when women are still being preyed upon as helpless creatures.

But think of the progressive mindset of Jalal that actually allowed him to encourage his wife to be equal to him at a moment when he knew her life was in danger and he was sending her into the lion's den as it were. If we are commonplace romance-cravers and have lily-livers we would all say "Ooh, what kind of romantic man is this that makes his wife fight, when he should be the protective one, the defender of her, the one that takes the blows and pushes her into a safe corner". But folks, I salute the man that Jalal is, because he is not that kind of ridiculous romantic that carries a picture in his head of women and men being unequal. He doesn't need a wife he has to protect and shield. He openly shows to everyone that he wants a wife that he can respect for her abilities to not only shield herself but shield everyone close to her, including himself.

Think for a moment, what would have been the situation if Ruq was in the place of Jodha in yesterday's episode. We would have had a melodrama queen, screeching blue murder at the enemies but not doing a single valuable act in the cause of vanquishing them. Ruq would have by save net" id="_GPLITA_0" href="https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4052331&TPN=2#"> by save net" id="_GPLITA_0" href="https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4053308&PID=108023610&#">run for safety and started distracting Jalal with all kinds of unwanted advice to do this or that ... without so much as lifting a finger herself. If anything she would have been a liability around Jalal's neck instead of being his dependable support. If I remember correctly, she didn't even know the front of a sword from its back!

But look at the wife Jalal has in Jodha. She is in every way his ardhangini. She is not the woman separate to his being the man. In fact here we have a relationship where the woman is perhaps being given a higher place by the man than he gives even himself - and it's the man himself who is saying to her "Inside the word "woman" you will find the word "man"! That's who I want you to be, and that's where I want find myself in your life!"

Look in the end how much Jalal relished the prospect of seeing Jodha at her warlike best in this whole episode. Look at the sheer pride in his voice as he showed off his wife's prowess to everyone saying she was as good as a whole army. And look at the love that flowed from him when she was tending his wounds as he said to her "I knew how good you were, but I never thought you'd make short work of all those men!" At every turn he was making little of his own skills and putting her above himself as his bodyguard!

I must thank Ekta and her crew for giving us this episode that showed us the real calibre of our lead pair. Let us forget the cribs we had that we want more "passion" in the romance. What we got yesterday was not just "passion in bed" but the "superior animalistic passion" of two people battling it out for each other against real enemies using real weapons and standing as equal with the enemy ranged against them. We had a display of a marriage that really works even when the times are very life-threatening, and not just merely unbearable.

I am really very glad that this story has now gone from two people fighting each other to two people fighting for each other. I think the children of such parents will be supremely blessed because of the kind of blood that runs in their veins. It will be a mixture of sheer Rajvanshi valour and great Mughal ruthlessness. It will be the blood of a father who knows how to treat the mother with love and the kind of respect that makes her a Queen equal in every way to his being King.

Remember folks, that scene when Jodha in Amer was once told by her mother that the King always walks ahead and the Queen follows. And Jodha said to her mother "But Mother the King and Queen should walk together so that the praja can follow them." Yesterday I saw a King and Queen walk together and I will never forget this feeling of pride I got that in this world there are some men who know how powerful womanhood really is. Thanks Jalal and Jodha. And thanks Ekta!

Mansi wonderful super analysis. 👏👏👏

As usual when episode is wonderful it brings out the best in you, but the nice thing is even not so good episodes you manage to see the positives. 👍🏼

I loved your green bits but the lines in bold wow! ⭐️

What an episode!!! Yet to get out of the episode haze! It reminded us why we LOVE Jodha Akbar and are crazy about Jodha and Jalal so much.

Where had they disappeared to?!!! We got our baghin and teda back. This is the Jodha Jalal we love. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honestly Rajat and Paridhi can bring magic to screen just by looking at each other - when they are given decent scenes they just make us forget ourselves. It would be a rare viewer who did not have a smile on his/her face after watching yesterday's episode.

For Jalal such fights are like office meetings! What he cherished and hugely enjoyed was fighting alongside Jodha.

Do they need to manufacture situations for romance? With these two romance is where they are together - like you pointed out Jalal was ready to romance Jodha standing in a dungeon strewn with bodies of dead soldiers!

This is the kind of Jalal we love to see the one who is so so confident in his own self and in his Jodha that he encourages her to be the best she can be. He does not want to cosset her he just wants to cherish her.

Jalal does not feel only HE should protect her, he is so much a secure person - now that he has finally got Jodha's love - they both are bringing the best in each other.

This is the Jodha we love, the fiery proud warrior like Jodha who can stand toe to toe with Jalal and be his true ardhangini. Please bring back this Jodha. ⭐️

Jalal saying to Jodha when she jumped into fight to ward off an attack on him from back - itna to yakeen hum aap pe karte hai! Uff

I just loved the goofy grins on their faces when Jodha told Jalal to sit under the tree and put on some mud-leaves on his face. Did you notice how she turned his face and put on the lep. Jalal doing the same to her. Jalal so proud of Jodha that he can't stop praising her to everyone.

What was so evident was the love and overwhelming happiness both get in just being together, in each other's presence. The location, circumstances cease to matter cos they are together.

Isn't that what we saw - walking barefoot hand in hand, get so engrossed in each other, the confidence and trust and faith in each other to stand by and protect the other always. No wonder Jalal said he will take Jodha everywhere with him! Yes please do that and please go out of haram and Agra a lot!

I felt that even Rajat and Paridhi enjoyed this episode so much, as if they were really having fun there.

Kudos to Ekta too, after all SHE chose them for our Jodha and Jalal and this is her vision.

Please CVs bring back our Teda and Fiery back. 👏👏👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now, my comments.!.
But, Sorry, i will include my ranting also in the end.😉 This may be sarcastic.!.😆...But, light hearted.😊

The reason i liked the Friday's episode was due to the fact that this has in many ways brought out what Akbar was, in "certain aspects".!.!.

1. He was the one during whose reign a lady(MUZ) got a cavalry "RANK" of 12,000, the only ONE in Mughal Era to get such a RANK. ..Rank of 12,000 cavalry was the highest possible rank that time.!.

Surely, there must have seen something in her that she was assigned this position.. So, if they show her wielding a sword along with her husband. If this is OTT then, nothing can be done. 😕 BTW, In future we are going to see, Jodha handling war in the absence of Emperor, Equally supported by Salima Begum. Even that will be OTT.?. 😉😃..?.. How can a "HER" do so 450 years back, that TOO someone who is neither a Mughal nor anyone from Central Asian BG.?.
When we have the BIGGEST proof in the form of her cavalry rank, then what more we want to see.?. Not only she, even her daughter (Firoz Khannum), controlled the cavalry.. And, Firoz had a unique distinction of mastering gunshots.Do we need more answers in this regard.😉

2. Akbar even handled the reigns of Kabul in the hands of his step-sister after defeating Hakim. What this shows.?. I think his broadmindedness.. When he can handle the THRONE of Kabul to a LADY, so, is it OTT that he wants his wife to be an EQUAL with him.?..?. 😉

3. He was the one who went against his religion and advocated more share of property for the girl child, though it's success seems limited. Anyways, Even today, Indian Government is battling with a Bill in this regard in the Lok Sabha to get this passed...

Finally, i have to say, this is NOT Akbar ONLY. This is Jodha-Akbar. The makers made it clear that this show is ABOUT the human SIDE of Akbar, not ONLY about his conquests. And, even if they show his conquests, even that will INCLUDE Jodha, as he used to take her with him. The proof is present on my NEW thread, whose link Maddy shared on page-1, + A member shared a referenced info about Akbar taking his sons, wife, etc. when he was on war with Gujarat, on page-16 of that thread...

They are inseparable, provided ONE is ready to Love and accept BOTH. The show can be enjoyed if we adore BOTH.. If any one watches Akbar the great old serial. , there also JJ have been portrayed in a similar manner, barring EXCEPTIONALLY written dialogues there, but that was 1980's...And, no one is going to enjoy the heavy URDU if they start to show it now...
It's strange what Akbar accepted 450 years back, many are finding it tough to BELIEVE now..!!!. The show can be enjoyed ONLY without an UltraMicroscopic Analysis, for NOT all of us have an idea what could have happened and what could not.!.

I TOTALLY agree that, we need improvement in execution. But. In my opinion, more than the problem of portrayal, it seems the problem is the involvement of Akbar's "Wife", which many are getting it hard to accept..!!!!..😉

My Expectations:
I expect that the CV's have taken a route to the future, By Friday's episode, they have shown JJ's journey taking a step ahead. I want the Villains like MA and Adham to depart soon. 😕 Then, we can have respite from Javeda and Resham also.😆.😕 . And then we can have new villains like MahaChuchak Begum, Abul Maali, and Shehnaz. And, thereafter we can have Tansen also.

Also, the entry of Tansen has been hinted, as in the ME Jalal mentioned about "Rewa"(i heard correctly ?), when Atga Saab informed him of some issue there. And, we all know Tansen was from the Kingdom of Rewa and heavy heartedly he was sent to Akbar by the Raja of Rewa.😊

I hope this was NOT BORING at all..!!!!.😉.😉.😆.😃.

Thanx Maddy, for making this thread ...👍🏼...

Everyone has lost that sense of wonder these days and cynicism has clouded their eyes that they automatically assume that love stories such as that of Jodha and Akbar's is fake.
It's a shame really especially when such a love story is even more relevant these days with all the divisions and caste issues that persist in today's society. Jodha and Akbar, in the 16th century itself, managed to transcend all of that and love each other without regard to religion and origin!
It is a story that should be recited often and for generations to come!

her Friday thread is so beautiful every comment by all are superb
u read and every time u fell in love agn

And a spl thanks to bhavs every day after episode ahe osts best akdha pics which I adore

now my two cents
jodha akbar as a show is turning one and some are happy with show some not
as a viewer I am pretty much content and happy with the progress when I signed for show I knew its gonna be best historic drama I am gonna watch and I still blv it few here and there episode the show always delivered what its promised us
a ruthless heartless king when a women enters his life how his personality changes how he saw things with diff angel anceye to see things closely and realise how his power can make some on life better he started blving in others and he changed for better
Makers promised us epic love
we to an extent got that also
I don't think epic means leads need to be physical intimacy in every episode they showed beautiful things
how they stood by eachother
they respected eachother religion
they blv in humanity
there love conquered all odds of lifes no barrier left
every high point in there life was depicted beautifully
there is a passion in there eyes which come across tp us onscreen and that what they promised
I still get goosebumps seeing there ganghor festival the first meet the aarti seq the first handahold the first eye lock
the first time I heard
ishq gai woh jazbaat and it still the same magic for me I gives me immense pleasure that I watch a show which is beautiful and presented in a way that it looks so grand

There relationship grows with every episode we saw from past one year
and now it touch a level where its beyond anyone
the spiritual connection in akdha is so beautiful that a non akdha lover will also gonna adore and cherish the history of this these two beautiful souls
the new promo is basically a look out fpr us to see back the journey of such pure hearted bodies
khuda ke banayenge do bandon ko ye illam hua

means two beautiful souls by god got a hint

Ki el hai khuda ek hai kayanath ek hai unki dua

God is one its universe is one and its prayers are one

then how can we defrentiate between them its perfectly sums up the bond akdha share the belefie which they have on each other the trust the friendship they share the attraction they two have the urge these two eyes show just to be with eachother
seeing things only negatively will never gonna help by doing that I don't want to lose this moment with akdha
that I have in present and which I cherish there simple scene bring smile on my face and its because these two beautiful gorgeous actors
who portrait jodha akbar
I was not born 450 years back I don't know how Jodha jalal looked
how there interaction were so I am feel blessed I am seeing paridhi and rajat portraying them for me they are jodha jalal
I saw history through there eyes and actions which I love the most

now I have little complaint to
the technical team of the show needs to work alot in editing and maintain the royal Ness in show
they need to make sure king is king and queen is queen
they are not bandhi or maid maintain the decor am of the royal ppl
they sometimes go over bpard with ruq and maham that they need to cut dpwn a bit
these are my few complaints

I am not upset abt TM amd maan singh or tansen and birbal coz its jodha akbar journey second phase and they gonna do that now only
so I will wait and then comment or bash cvs for that

thanku for bearing with me and my post

I don't think Ekta ever had any intention of showing prolonged physical romance in the show. She had realized that physical romance is not something in which a serial can ever compete with Hindi movies or English language shows.

That is why she choose a married woman for the part, because whatever the assurance Paridhi gave about her willingness to do all kinds of scenes, a producer casting an actress for physical romance will always have a doubt, when the woman is married. Ekta choose Paridhi, because she wanted a queen who could realistically portray a woman who forms a deep emotional bond with the Emperor. For this the queen must be a "hunar ki khaan" and Paridhi is able to show that. And I don't think it will be the end of physical romance, just that it will be limited to the script.

Even if the producers had no intention of following the course suggested by Friday's episode(I personally think the episode portends the future), the blockbuster success of Friday's episode shows everyone the direction the serial needs to go.

By RadhikaSO

There was a prevailing mood that folks wanted to see physical intimacy. I am not a prude but as far as JJ are concerned i want to see their intellectual and spiritual and emotional bonding. I feel looking at their physical aspect is very 'low-brow'. Now that finally everyone is convinced that they want more out of JJ rel than physical passion, i am happy to voice my sentiments. :)

it's always gr8 to see Jalal in action, and this time his Jo standing right beside him in the most difficult time, and then these two making the situation feel as just a game of small kids, was like icing on the cake...

next week , let's expect the action continues, thanks to AK now getting more restless abt Jalal's growing power, and his heir to come... and so he will be continuing with his stupid plans, but still now i m getting restless coz suddenly yest action episode made me feel the uncertainty abt how much time we have to wait more for Ruku and MA's exposure and the surang mystery being solved...coz till then, peace will be one thing, that will be away from the lives of Jo-Jalal... but trust Jalal to do something unimaginable in worst ever conditions... like i smsed u while watching the episode on friday, that only Jalal can think and chance of romance in captivity of enemy...and so let them face many problems, or few more uncertainties, i m sure, Jalal will still find few romantic moments with his Jodha, that will be enjoyable...

now abt the precap...Jalal praising Jo for her skills, and Ruku fuming... but the real thing abt it were his words, that he will prefer Jo to always accompany him while on any travel, let it be war or visit to his subjects... i have read somewhere that MUZ always accompanied Akbar everywhere , even in wars, that too when she was pregnant with their kid... i think Abhay too has said it in his thread... and so Jalal's words made me remember it... is this how CVs r abt to show it that from this time on , Jo always accompanied him as per his wish? ...interesting, isn't it?

and abt the promo... it's even more interesting... both have accepted eachother mind, body and soul... and now it's time they accept eachother's culture... Jalal has respected her religion and she too has respected his... both have prayed with eachother even before...Jalal in a temple and Jo at mazaar in Ajmer...

but after accepting eachother , this is first time they r together while praying... while in Amer Jalal did pooja with Jo, still later he explained it, that he wants to wipe the hatred in hearts of ppl of Amer for him...and even later he always worshiped her Kanha in her room, but it was first time he did havan with Jo and even promised to do pooja again, once his child comes into the world... this is his way to show his complete acceptance towards another religion , that too when many of his own ppl r going to oppose it making him look like criminal of his own religion... still the mighty emperor will surely stand firm to his decision , which will be one more step for him in becoming one of the ever gr8 emperors in the history...

and same is abt is queen, his love... she has already accepted his ppl as her own in every way possible... now she has accepted him fully... before she has prayed with him many times... but now she is learning the whole procedure abt how to do the prayers, with the meaning of it... she is just not following the way, she is placing it in her hearts as her own... and surely, that will give Jalal one good reason for more happiness... and what i loved more was , she chose Jalal to teach it to her, when she could have easily learnt it from anybody like HB or SB... but this is her was to show the most imp place her so called illiterate husband holds in her life... that she doesn't care if he is illiterate, but she trusts his to be a perfect person to teach her something very important...gr8!!!!

By Skanda12
both Jodha and Jalal should be 360-degree people. We need to see all sides of their multifaceted personalities ... physical love, intellectual and mental and emotional bonding, and their bonding via common talents, skills and god-given gifts of personal strengths as well as their value-based lives.
I subscribe to neither one rigid theory - if we say physical love is everything and it's missing, it would not be right ... and if we say the physical love is not important, and other forms of bonding is everything, that would not be right either. We need to see both evolve in the story, the physical love and the other forms of bonding. So its pointless to be satisfied with just half the story. I think we both agree on this because in both your posts and mine there is always this cry for both types of bonding.
I wouldn't just be satisfied if Jodha and jalal just "completed each other" like 40-60 relationship or even a 50-50 relationship. I want to see them as a 100+100 = 200% relationship because we want to see the full repertoire of Jodha melt in a relationship with the full repertoire of Jalal as regards their personalities. Do you agree with this?
I think those of us who write in this thread must actively demand that we get more episodes like the Friday one where the many levels of bonding between the two were visible. There was romance as well as partnership. That is why the Friday episode feels so satisfactory to so many on the forum, because the episode covered all aspects in good balance.

By RadhikaSO

If we look at the serial holistically, jalal understands jodha's potential very well. He wants to boost her self confidence by praising her hunars. And then challenge her so that she sets her goals higher. He did this when he encouraged her to fight the harem elctions. At the time he told her that he had to challenge her and she would respond superlatively. So it was yesterday. He challenged her and he knew she would rise to the occasion. He knows that she is at par with him, his alter ego. There is nothing he can do that she can't do. She just needs to be pulled out of her cocoon. He is a far modern man than men today. To understand a woman's potential and make her achieve that by belittling his own accomplishments in comparison is not what every man can do. And not every man is lucky enough to find a counterpart who doesn't just complete him but increases his aura and enhances his personality completely. both jodha and jalal are truly divinely blessed to have found life partners who are bringing out the best in them and taking them closer to God.

Jalal has prophecied he will always take jo with him everywhere. and we will see just what he means by this in future. It's not just going on trips or wars. It's abt taking her with him on every internal journey he undertakes now. He wants her in every decision he takes. He wants her to be as integral to his life as breath to his soul.

Ruq would have by save net" id="_GPLITA_0" href="https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4052331&TPN=2#">run for safety and started distracting Jalal with all kinds of unwanted advice to do this or that ... without so much as lifting a finger herself. If anything she would have been a liability around Jalal's neck instead of being his dependable support. If I remember correctly, she didn't even know the front of a sword from its back!

But look at the wife Jalal has in Jodha. She is in every way his ardhangini. She is not the woman separate to his being the man. At every turn he was making little of his own skills and putting her above himself as his bodyguard!
