Wish a wonderful Sunday to everyone. 😃
Maybe the last weekend before monsoon and holidays end.

Wish a Belated Happy Birthday to Ekta Kapoor. 😃
She is the one who chose Paridhi as Jodha from 7,000 auditions and who chose Rajat as Jalal. Hats off to her for her eye in seeing what we have got now - the amazing chemistry and the very royal OUR Jodha Akbar.

It is Ekta's Kapoor's vision of Jodha Akbar - I just wish she does not leave it entirely to creatives! Wasn't there a buzz that she was on sets for SR episodes shooting?

I was honestly wondering if I can/should make my Sunday thread.
Then Friday's episode got back the smiles on every JodhaAkbar viewers face - I think! I guess most are still in the episode haze. 😆

Friday episode reminded me why I love Jodha Akbar. I watch cos I love Jodha and Jalal (in that order 😆) and I love to watch their story. The fiery proud Jodha and Teda Jalal. How they overcame every prejudice and religious barriers to make such a wonderful glorious life. Aren't we rooting for them 450+ years later. Wherever they are - their life remains unique even after centuries.

It is said history is the story of the victorious and vanquished does not get to put his POV across. In a sad way did not the later generations try to do that to story of Jodha and Akbar? Still the truth comes out and even they could not wipe off the love that is visible in the stones and marbles and paintings that is proof of their love.

It gives me goosebumps to imagine Jodha Akbar LIVED this life in 16th century, when the mindsets were so narrow and information so controlled. What all they faced in their lives and overcame - truly EPIC LOVE STORY ⭐️

I so fervently wish CVs concentrate more on the positivity. It becomes painful to watch villains - sorry here vamps(!) - win for 90% of the time and then 10% of the time the leads get to win. Please make it 50-50!

I wish more than the Motis, Reshams, Shehnazs - we get to watch stories of Maan Singh, Todarmal, Adga Khan.

I really want to keep positivity here but this is something that bothers me - they have such an amazing leads and support actors - I wish the CVs would take little more care to retain the royal ambiance. The side actors playing the parts of bandis just ruin it.

How can a bandi walk in - into the hojara of Shehenshah directly???? No matter what reason,
How can bandis not do proper adaab or pranam?
How can they keep staring at the royalty???
How can bandis stay in the hojara when Shehenshah has walked in to meet his Begum??? He certainly does not come to meet them!!!
In one of the episodes Moti just about brushed by Jalal's side!!! 😡 Should not the bandis do adaab/pranam and ease off backwards and walk out unobtrusively?

Sorry for that bit of venting but it bothers me - I want to see the royal ambiance retained and not spoiled by such small things.

My favorites of the week - ALL are about Friday's episode 😆
Everybody please share your favorites.

PS : Updated with some fabulous posts on page 3 just now. Ela, Abhay have shared wonderful threads on page 2 and Preet has made from the heart wonderful post on page 2. I would love for you all to check them out if you got time.

This has to be the most wonderful informative educative thread. 👏👏👏
My absolute favorite thread - by History_geek (credit for the thread goes to Abhay, Kamal and Lizzy and their sources) for giving us the MOST AWAITED thread - about children of Jodha and Akbar. 😃

WOW! - I am not going to write anything more than must read for those who love Jodha and Jalal. BTW he has made 5 other threads and the links for those are given in his this thread.

by History_geek on Friday episode

The episode was symbolic in many senses. JJ, for the first time Did Havan together. The panditji's wish for 'their' progeny, which was acknowledged by both. First time, they fought together. Jalal's insistence to 'punish' the attackers as they 'dared' harp upon him and his 'khas' begum. First time, Jodha fought using 'shamsheer' with Jalal. We all know she was the ONLY lady in Mughal Era to have a cavalry 'rank' of 12,000. We saw the reason for that 'rank' yesterday. Her fighting skills came in handy yesterday.

Precap:

Jalal saying that in future he will take Jodha with him everywhere. And in reality also Akbar took Jodha with him even during wars. So, can we assume that precap dialogue is a step forward in that direction.?.?. New Development..

Promo:

about the new Promo, i don't even possess the audacity to describe the serenity and piousness, in that shot. Truly, Hats off. CV's take a BOW for it.

You know why i/we LOVE this story of Jodha-Akbar. Why we are stuck to this story.?.. The 'UNIQUE' feature is evident in the promo. Two people from different cultures can bond so well, despite all restrictions. Breaking all barriers of religion. Marx said in 1840's - 'Religion is the opium of masses'. Jodha-Akbar is ONE STORY which has proved him wrong.!!.

Even today when we talk of rationality, a story as unique as theirs is not found barring all prejudices..

When we start losing hope the serial gives something and holds us back. :)

By History_geek
The reason i liked the Friday's episode was due to the fact that this has in many ways brought out what Akbar was, in "certain aspects".!.!.

1. He was the one during whose reign a lady(MUZ) got a cavalry "RANK" of 12,000, the only ONE in Mughal Era to get such a RANK. ..Rank of 12,000 cavalry was the highest possible rank that time.!.

Surely, there must have seen something in her that she was assigned this position.. So, if they show her wielding a sword along with her husband. If this is OTT then, nothing can be done. 😕 BTW, In future we are going to see, Jodha handling war in the absence of Emperor, Equally supported by Salima Begum. Even that will be OTT.?. 😉😃..?.. How can a "HER" do so 450 years back, that TOO someone who is neither a Mughal nor anyone from Central Asian BG.?.
When we have the BIGGEST proof in the form of her cavalry rank, then what more we want to see.?. Not only she, even her daughter (Firoz Khannum), controlled the cavalry.. And, Firoz had a unique distinction of mastering gunshots.Do we need more answers in this regard.😉

2. Akbar even handled the reigns of Kabul in the hands of his step-sister after defeating Hakim. What this shows.?. I think his broadmindedness.. When he can handle the THRONE of Kabul to a LADY, so, is it OTT that he wants his wife to be an EQUAL with him.?..?. 😉

3. He was the one who went against his religion and advocated more share of property for the girl child, though it's success seems limited. Anyways, Even today, Indian Government is battling with a Bill in this regard in the Lok Sabha to get this passed...

Finally, i have to say, this is NOT Akbar ONLY. This is Jodha-Akbar. The makers made it clear that this show is ABOUT the human SIDE of Akbar, not ONLY about his conquests. And, even if they show his conquests, even that will INCLUDE Jodha, as he used to take her with him. The proof is present on my NEW thread, whose link Maddy shared on page-1, + A member shared a referenced info about Akbar taking his sons, wife, etc. when he was on war with Gujarat, on page-16 of that thread...

They are inseparable, provided ONE is ready to Love and accept BOTH. The show can be enjoyed if we adore BOTH.. If any one watches Akbar the great old serial. , there also JJ have been portrayed in a similar manner, barring EXCEPTIONALLY written dialogues there, but that was 1980's...And, no one is going to enjoy the heavy URDU if they start to show it now...
It's strange what Akbar accepted 450 years back, many are finding it tough to BELIEVE now..!!!. The show can be enjoyed ONLY without an UltraMicroscopic Analysis, for NOT all of us have an idea what could have happened and what could not.!.

I TOTALLY agree that, we need improvement in execution. But. In my opinion, more than the problem of portrayal, it seems the problem is the involvement of Akbar's "Wife", which many are getting it hard to accept..!!!!..😉

My Expectations:
I expect that the CV's have taken a route to the future, By Friday's episode, they have shown JJ's journey taking a step ahead. I want the Villains like MA and Adham to depart soon. 😕 Then, we can have respite from Javeda and Resham also.😆.😕 . And then we can have new villains like MahaChuchak Begum, Abul Maali, and Shehnaz. And, thereafter we can have Tansen also.

Also, the entry of Tansen has been hinted, as in the ME Jalal mentioned about "Rewa"(i heard correctly ?), when Atga Saab informed him of some issue there. And, we all know Tansen was from the Kingdom of Rewa and heavy heartedly he was sent to Akbar by the Raja of Rewa.😊

I hope this was NOT BORING at all..!!!!.😉.😉.😆.😃.

by chitterati - (I LOVE to read newbie posts - welcome to JA forum chitterati 😃)

Lovely episode, it gave us a glimpse of why Jalal first fell in love with Jodha.

One may say Jalal found his love in Jodha because she has a heart of gold, that she is a "nek dil insaan", but then again we meet so many wonderful people in our life but we don't fall in love with all of them. This is episode showed us he fell for her because she is a partner to him in every sense of the word.

While trapped in net she was as composed as him, when battling enemies she was as fierce as him. She had the guts to ask him why he delayed taking the dagger out, and yet was considerate enough to make a lep for him when he was hurt forgetting about her own injuries.

She stood by him even when she was free, leaving him to battle alone...when any other begum may have run to save herself.

Maham had once said "Jalal ko woh log pasand hain jo unke dimaag se khelte hain", Jo won his heart because unlike Ruk she not want to control his mind but was able to match his wit with hers

By Jas2204

What can I say about Jalal and Jodha, they just blew me away. Episode like this is the reason why I put up with so much crap CVs throw at us. Yesterday's episode shows again given half decent scenes and dialogues by CVs, Paridhi and Rajat are capable of coming up with amazing performances.

For Jalal to completely trust Jodha's skills and actively encourage her to not only to keep herself safe but also have his back is just wonderful to see. This is a man who would never try to stifle Jodha from reaching her full potential. This wonderful man just amazed me. Approve Even though Jalal is always praising Jodha , yesterday we saw that they are not empty words.

He sees her as a steel magnolia not a shrinking violet.

My tigress Jodha is back.Big smile Her fighting alongside Jalal was such a treat to watch. This is the Jodha and Jalal I fell in love with.Day Dreaming

By Neeshaa16

I am still wondering what we saw yesterday was real ..or it was a dream.. It was actually a dream episode... just spectacular.. mesmerising.. amazing to see Jalal-Jodha in action as a team. Fab episode!! I am still in a hangover ... The last para of your superb analysis of an equally master episdoe aptly sums it all.. The King and Queen should walk together... Wow loved it.. And so they did and I think from now on they will always walk together..

I think CVS are correctly showing the journey of Jodha- the ordinary begum.. to Mallia--Hindustaan.. the Queen of Hindustaan..the title which she does not only get because she is the most beloved wife of Jalal but because she deserves it rightfully. She earns it.. and as Jalal had previously said in Amer ..Hum kisis ko bhi woh cheez nahi dete .. Jo usne khud mehnat se Kamaaii naa ho." Jodha really earns and deserves this title.. She is courageous brave rajvanshi and at the same time she is most humble, down to earth, good humam being wtith a heart of gold.. Jalal wants a capable life partner and has found one in Jodha who would make him proud.. to be called her husband ... He was beaming with pride as he was praising her skills.. and how he loved to see his Baaghin in full action .. He never had thought that she actually could fight with enemies hand in hand with him.. She actually had taken the avtaar of Kaalimaa... Durgaa.. yesterday..

Let me start with the fight scene first...

have you seen two fighters who are trained to fight together against their enemy in action...? everything looks seamlessly choreographed, the moves are smooth and blows and attacks flow with liquid fluidity...there is comfort, faith and loads and loads of trust...

jodha and jalal were much the same way yesterday... only difference was that they had not been trained to complement each other's skills, neither they had learned to read the thoughts of the other during a battle,

rather it was an innate link between the two, a bond blessed by the divine hand and nature, a connection strengthened by innumerable tests of trust, an association where neither needed to voice their thoughts for the other to know what was desired... in other words... perfect partners, perfect comrades, perfect teammates and perfect couple... they complemented each other's strengths and made up for the other's weakness... and seeing the two together in action was no short of breath taking...

Jalal was fighting the enemies, defending his, but more so his begum's honour whom the enemy had the audacity to capture and mistreat... he thrust and parried, seemingly dancing on his feet, nimble and quick as he twirled, ducked, jumped, swung, defended and attacked... slowly he was gaining momentum over his enemies and jodha was keenly watching the action when suddenly we see, Jalal has left his back exposed momentarily and one enemy, finding his opening roars in for a lethal blow from behind...

is it the end for jalal...? Nooo

Jodha, finding that her husband needs her intervention, jumps into the fray, sword held aloft as she defends jalal from behind... she holds the enemy at bay with ease as jodha and jalal exchange words of reassurance and with a silent go unleash their joined prowess against the hapless enemies...

jalal kicks his enemy while jodha pushes her with a shove, she turns in time to catch another while jalal, in that same mili-second stabs the one jodha pushed as she turns...

then what ?

jodha and jalal each handle half a dozen enemies each, defend and shove the first, duck, shove the second, lethally attack the first... one down, more to go... all the while standing with their backs facing, not letting any enemy breach the invisible circle they created in battle, kept to it's boundary and thus protected the other... adrenaline surging and scruples forgotten in face of danger to their beloved...

my god... the synchrony the two shared... i won't be surprised if the two were breathing in tandem too... in battle as well as on normal days too...

last two left, what to do, what to do... the 20 something were a trifle-irritant... these last two enemies were child's play... who gets to play with which? it was highly amusing... the last two still want to play...? but now they are bored... lets be done with this farce of a fight... surge forward, duck, stab... last one left... he flees...oh well... good riddance...

...

WOW...

then atga rushes in like the police of hindi movies when all the action has dried up and the adrenaline rush is slowing...

Jodha notices the wounds from when jalal was fighting alone... immediately the blood lust is forgotten... the fiery rajput blood succumbs under the concern of the loving wife... she holds jalal by his hand and leads him to a tree root... where she settles him comfortably and then looks around for herbs to make a basic first-aid lep... and then the overly sweet tender loving care with which the two look after each others wounds and exchange love filled glances and proud reflections of the valour and courage of the other...

...

WOW...!! 😳

These two... Are not good for my sensitive heart...😆

but i want a jodha of my own too...!!! this woman finds lep-material any and everywhere and i can't even find a pesky band-aid in the first-aid box too...😡😆😆

ooh... and the scene where jalal fought the enemies and then threw his sword to free jodha... the way he caught her and then the way time seemed to stop as they found themselves close to each other... for a few heartbeats both forgot that they were still very much potential prisoners in the enemy's lair... it was when jodha regained her senses and forced herself to be put down... she turned to go but jalal stopped her and pulled her close... and in the middle of the desolate dungeon, standing between the slayed bodies of their enemy, they looked very much wanting to indulge in heavy making out session...😆

isn't this passion enough...!!😉😉

the two, esp jalal, can't stop gushing over the courage, bravery and ruthlessness of the other... the precao was another tantalising repeat of the end scene, just with ruks constipated face as jalal vowed to take jo with him everywhere...

is that why jo accompanied him war expeditions...???😉

oh forgot to mention... when jalal's soldiers were being killed one by one, what a cute lighthearted akdha music was playing in the BG... what contrast😉

thats all...

best wishes

Ruq is Ja's very much 1st wife so didn't she have awarness abt the polygamy matter in her life? Frm her childhood marriage with Ja, she is quite habitual with Ja's sleeping with different ladies even its never made her bothering.whats it meant? Its meant she has no irritation to share her hubby with other ladies before. But why suddenly she is bothering to see jo's intimacy with ja? Reason behind it is till date ruq never felt shahensha jalal is gonna away frm her for any other begum.

I have already said ruq is ready to share her hubby jalal with any lady but not shahensha jalal for whose she has gotten power, title n respect. Before Jo's entry in Ja's life, Ja only discussed any kind of issues with ruq as his khas but now Ja is giving Jo's important in his life n its increasing day by day.before Jo's entry in Ja's life, ruq never saw for any lady Ja changed obnoxious in his nature, never beat his dil fr any begum n after spending nite with other ladies at the end of the day jalal came back to her But next Jo's proximity is converted a blood thirsty Ja to calm, sage Ja slowly n this was increased ruq's palpitation high

Though ruq never accepted directly but she understood before that Jo isn't any ordinary beautiful begum like others.she has strong power to change ja as a person n as an emperor. Jo is only lady who has bravey to give challenge Ja, she is not only beautiful but also extremely sopisticate with extra gud quality n these qualities r basic reasons behind pulling ja toward jo like magnet. Ruq was observering quietly hence when she got a chance to detach ja frm jo using ben's beauty, she took it as that time Ja was also attracted on benu(so called) beauty n angry on Jo.Ruq thought benu could make sure Ja keeping away frm Jo using her beauty therefore at the elevent hour, ruq is only BEK to Ja n her audha would also remain secured. But she lost again before Jo's pure, honest qualities as human. Today she knew she is not on khas to Ja so she feared what if Ja would snatch her audha n give it to jo. Ruq's inner mind is now filled with sin that she stops to believe her childhood frnd even doesn't hesitate to b treacherous with him.that she is doing with ja now its not fr getting back hubby ja who is the great person rather its for old brutal emperor ja so as to her audha always remains safe.

By Skanda12 - This is Mansi's hilarious take on HOW Ruk would have behaved if she was with Jalal

(everybody reads Skanda12 and Elasingh threads - so I do not include the links to them - they make thread daily after the episode, in case any newbie is reading this and wants to check them out)

Think for a moment, what would have been the situation if Ruq was in the place of Jodha in yesterday's episode. We would have had a melodrama queen, screeching blue murder at the enemies but not doing a single valuable act in the cause of vanquishing them. Ruq would have run for safety and started distracting Jalal with all kinds of unwanted advice to do this or that ... without so much as lifting a finger herself. If anything she would have been a liability around Jalal's neck instead of being his dependable support. If I remember correctly, she didn't even know the front of a sword from its back!

Gem12

Coming to rukkaiah..dont imagine rukku in jo's place..coz first of all she wud hav said no for padayatra...and second to an orphanage and third that too with out any protection...even then also she wud hav tried to save herself first and accused jalal for being so careless and putting thr life in danger...
