maybe sujamal will find shivani and bring her to jodha but will not let jodha disclose his identity..then ruq/MA will plot another mu..maybe this time our jallu will stand by her..otherwise the soul talk will not be justified

Preeti, I had mentioned this on another thread that what makes our TE unique is his ability to get the good and learn from any sector - toh TM se seekhna will not change TM ka equation in his eyes - which is actually the equation of loyalty - but that fact that having recognised the Emperor TM went along shows TE that TM is a loyal subject who respects the reasons of his King even if may not understand them - this kind of loyalty is hard to come by and why TE is so very partial to his Ameri relatives!!!

Agreed that TM symbolically gives him his loyalty by recognising the emperor and acknowledging the fact that the TE cover shouldn't be blown off.

My point was that in Addition to the above the words by TM only made him realise that when TM fought against Humayun it was under his then king SSS, but even in those times he didn't loose his humanity and understanding the fact although the war was between the two kings the families weren't to be involved, and the war ended long ago, and if not for the Mohar TM gave him along with the SEEKH, Jalal would have returned to punish.

It will also be a learning that as the voice over said will change the TE ... It is a variation from what Khan Baba had taught him and he has followed thus far.

It is not the recounting of TM of having safely brought Humayun's begums back to Agra nor of Humayun giving the mohur as a thankyou to TM!!!

It is that fact that TM has recognised the Emperor and yet has not named him openly!!! This is TM giving his loyalty to his Emperor - This is so very symbolic!!! And TE has acknowledged this!!! That was the reason TE turned back for that last look before he left!!!

The voice over was indeed correct!!! This was a night of Change for TE!!!

Adi, Jalal (in the serial and the Emperor himself) was an astute person, no doubt...because whatever said and done...astuteness is not something that can be taught ..the skill can be sharpened by experience..but one has to come with it naturally either way!

If you notice - all the errors of judgements he's made or will make -will be due to an emotional blindfold he has that he uses as and when the issue is to do with a loved one. I am certain, he isn't totally unaware that MA is the epitome of purity just because of the white bed-sheet she drapes herself in. I am sure he is quite aware of Ruqaiyya's shortcomings. Yet, he puts up with them because HE CHOOSES TO. Similarly, he is not blind to Salima's genial nature or Jodha's inherent goodness and hence the partiality to the latter even during the times she was unkind to him (which he would have done even if he wasn't in love with her).

The MC Kaand was a grieving father at his lowest!
The paralysis he went into during Tasneem was because of the sight of watching that 12 year old being wedded to a 60 year old - his self-flagellation was because he realized how Jodha must have felt entering this marriage unwillingly.
His paralysis during the Benazir track was him unable to come to terms with the fact that one woman he's fallen for doesn't love him and might never love him back.

It is these emotionally-driven moods and thus the decisions thereafter that are possibly his weakness. His sentiments and emotions are possibly the one 'beta' trait in this otherwise alpha Emperor and this is how I think it was with THE MAN too! That only makes him more 'human' if nothing else!

Todarmal -
On a similar note - he could recognize the latent goodness in Todarmal from the very instant the horse-rider offered two strangers (who looked like they had nothing to pay) his house as shelter so they could remain safe from the dakus. The fact that Todarmal didn't permit Jalal-the-athithi to fight, sealed his trust on the man! I am certain that very second would have done it for him.

At this point even if he came to know Todarmal Jee was the one responsible for Humayun's death - however angry - Jalal wouldn't have taken his life! He is a grateful and forgiving chap!
The soft spoken nature, the manner in which Todarmal fought the dakus and then presented the mohar while keeping it all a secret is additional proof of Todarmal's integrity, that's all!

Jalal-Todarmal make for the best chemistry as King-advisor - I deeply wish they don't reduce this fellow to another Maan Singh! Such a waste of talent and possibility, if not!

***Lashy, if you remember, when Bhairam Khan was dead, there was a voice over which said that, Jalal was aware that MA has hands in this and to keep Salima and Rahim safe from them, he married her.

EXACTLY!!!!

Jalal KNOWS what MA is, I've been saying this since ages now!!!

He only keeps quiet because of his deep love & loyalty he has for her & the fact that, he cannot believe SHE would do anything to him. The day he comes to know about the MCs , she has had it. 😈

He knows exactly how good & pure a soul Jodha is.. Jodha is the sort you CAN'T be angry with beyond a hour.

For Jalal of course the time limit is 5 minutes. 🤣

Who can dispute jalal's occlumens?

I completely agree with and understand jalal's tolerance to ma's evil ruqaiya's shortcomings jodha's rudeness, his behaviour in mc khaand and his paralysis during ben track.

But I still don't agree with his stupidity during the tasneem track. He was aghast at the little girl being married to the 60 yr old man and tasneem being compelled and so made a law concerning marriage age. But what has it got to do with his declaring the law henceforth and applicable to him too in future. He looked extremely silly ordering mass divorces across the country and divorcing ruqaiya. No emotionally stressed man can be that senseless. Moreover what does age factor have to do with forced marriage? Both are two different issues. Again he has acquired many wives and concubines in war too. Certainly they would not all have been willing. Suddenly flaggellating himself for hurting jodha too didn't make sense there.

Tasneem track was the worst concieved and most illogically and awfully executed tracks so far. He should not have been shown so stupid after he retained his cool in the more emotionally challenging fake pregnancy track.

Benazir paralysis had the shove and his personal mental confusion as an excuse. Tasneem aimak-ness has none.

Wish there had been no tasneem track at all. Jodha could have written the thankyou letter to thank him for the fake pregnancy support.

Undoubtedly dear...but, I am certain that EVERY wise man has had some point in his life that he's looked back and stated 'My God, did I actually do that?'
While Akbar might not have exactly done a Tasneem in his life, who's to say he never committed any blunders at all?

Yes, it is text-book kingship for an Emperor not to be swayed by emotions and to be extremely astute and balanced in ALL his decisions (which he tries to be) but he is a young lad of raging emotions - pride, ego, anger, emotion, love - he has, wants and knows it all.

He's seen betrayal and has been used for the sake of power right from his teens, so these brief periods of weaknesses could be the result of those healing scars.

Also, as a young lad of 22 he is yet to learn a lot - and he does! Proof is in the pudding - when we know later on, of the fates that befell Adham, Shareef, Abul Maali, Hakim Mirza, Maham Anga (and even, though some may dispute) Ruqaiyya Sultan Begum too (Where foreign writers on the king HAVE stated that there was a brief period Akbar had stopped talking to Ruqaiyya because of the couple being unable to see eye-to-eye on many issues) Yes I heard the poor lady does change once Salim is born...

And those decisions were collective efforts of his own intelligence, his capacity to overcome ego AND his magnanimity to learn from mistakes - added with plenty of good advice from all the genial/loyal advisors (HK included) that surrounded him!
