For if not, Jalal will always feel, in some corner of his heart, that there is in a Jodha a wilful, capricious and cruelly insensitive woman who might resurface some time , and he will never again be able to trust her fully, without needing any proof, as he did during the false pregnancy track. And that would poison their relationship.

These few lines below of yours are so insightful. I have been going over this many times to see why Jalal is so keen on bringing it again and again. He trusts her completely, understands that she is a good person, yet its beyond him to solve the dhakka puzzle. I doubt he thinks about her as leading him on now, yet he is anxious to understand the dhakaa. Jodha seems to be in no hurry to clarify till now..
