You must be the silk-sari clad Indian version of TinkerBell then 😉.
The best part about the episode on Friday was the opening scene. The one that stayed in my zehen, that shimmered & sparkled like the finest quality champagne to be found ( Dom Perignon maybe? 😉) and that still manages to bring a sweet tug , and a smile on my face.
I think the magic that Jalal-Jodha created , transferred to us, the mesmerized audience!!
From the beginning to the end of the scene, I laughed out loud, exclaimed huge "AWWWs" at Jodha's absolutely adorable & possessive behaviour & I think saw Jalal restrain his hands to wrap her in a fond & tight hug. 😆
From her posture , to her words to her subtle expressions, it was Paridhi again who delighted & riveted my attention away from Rajat!
The two together create fine magic on-screen & their chemistry is as delicate as the butterfly wings you refer to. 😳
When Jalal enters her rooms, with hesitation, with a new-found acceptance ( for I don't think it was a realisation. He has been fighting for long, somwhere, within him , about his Love for Jodha) but today, now that he has accepted it , there is acute, very self-conscious albeit charming un-certainty in his approach towards Jodha... Should I go? What should I say? Hmmm should I ask her directly? Should I tell her about her pain & the utter grief that was about to shatter me? But why would she drink that poison, which she knew would end her Life? Hmmm.. Should I hope?
All this seemed to swim through his mind before he took his seat ( notice the distance, close without being un-comfortable. For Jodha, this Jalal is one very, very smart psychological player 😉)
So he begins in a tone that at once gently admonishes her & is an in-direct acknowledgement of her Raajvanshi yodhaa spirit. 😆
And then begins the magic!
Everything from the tender reproach in Jalal's voice, by turns that suppressed amusement I caught on his face at "Hume uske vastr pehanne ke tareeke pasand nahin the!"
" Bhala koi aise vastr pehan saktaa hain kya? Woh bhi kisi aur ke pati ke saamne? !"
To the faux innocent & pondering look on his face, that followed her tremendously amusing self-righteous answer ( Jodha is absolutely correct, he truly does adhik abhinay!🤣) , everything was done SUPERBLY by the two!! 😆
You've said all so beautifully in her new-found Silk-sari clad TinkerBell avatar 😆 that there isn't anything left to say! Except a few things-
1.) Everything about Jodha oozed shyness, innocence & a desire to be close to Jalal. Whether it be her posture ( which seemed to fan out shyness & a certain sweetness that am sure tugged at Jalal's heart) to her desire to be close to him - Suddenly catching hold of his hand when he was all set to take that kasam on the hopefully deceased Benazir's equally un-seen 'beauty'. 😆
Note. She didn't catch his hand & drop it, but slowly, set it on Jalal's lap.
Her sudden disappointment when Jalal pronounces Benazir to be behat khoobsoorat , she suddenly , swallows visibly. Very well done by Pari! 😃
2.) When Jodha fell, Jalal catches her immediately but then looks around self-consciously , almost as if he was looking for Moti & at the same time, wondering what her reaction would be. As much as to tell her that she was right, as to know what her reaction would be, he glances back at her & it almost seemed like a heaved a sigh that she didn't find this closeness to him jarring at all. 😳
... And gently takes her hand, awkward & yet revelatory.. But Jalal is so very correct, distant yet full of tender care; only an actor of the calibre of Rajat can manage to bridge the very difficult Gap between Self-consciousness, and Tender Care, absolutely naturally!!
Yet, it was Pari who charmed me as much if not more, in the whole gentle romantic sequence. To the sudden disappointed swallowing , to her posture- At once shy & leaning towards Jalal for some psychological closeness. To the slight narrowing of her eyes at dass leti? And the emphasis on dass. To the pouty innocence she brought to "Aap Humaari pati hain naa"? Did you notice that shadow of delight on Jalal's face at such hitherto un-known haq. 😉
Pari was innocent perfection in that scene. 👏
Rajat was brilliant as usual. But then where is that ever ,anything new for or from him. 😊
Gold Snippet of the day:
Jalal confident telling of Benazir not being able to strike him with her poison because this taapp is only in one Raajvanshi. With eyes like that of a hooded tiger, albeit with latent, joyous laughter, he slowly raises them to his Jodha's Begum's pouty , irritated face.. And both break into laughter... MAGIC! ❤️
Thank you for this exquisite analysis, aunty. 🤗
P.S. "Aap begumon ko samajhnaa matlab jung ke baraabar hota hain.".... Looks like it's not only Jodha who is in desperate need of the proverbial Mirror on the wall!! 🤣
P.P.S I can bear with 10 snake/elephant/bird women for a FEW such episodes!! 😳
