WORTH READING: OFFICIAL GUIDE TO FATEHPUR SIKRI

For my dear Sara and anyone else here who might be interested in it.

Please do NOT get your BP up, even if you have chronically low BP as I do, by spending time reading such half-baked and motivated stuff across the forum. I never do.

The authorised Government of India guidebook to Fatehpur Sikri is available in its entirety at

It has 78 pages and 12 ilustrations, and it lists every single building in the complex. I visited it last in 1992, but this book is obviously far, far more accurate than my memory, so I would refer all of you to it rather than to me. It is also factual and objective, both admirable qualities in any piece of writing.

So do make the effort needed to go thru it. It has an excellent index, which itself given a very good idea of what is there.

shyamala, thank you very much for your information! i just read the fatepur sikri part, so its clear that the rang mahal was built for pregnant jodha so that she can deliver safely, and it has nothing to do with benazir dasofying issue!..how i wish shyamala that ekta does get some feedback on this but what to so its the trps that matter to her and not the content!

I saw a complaint on another thread that the Diwan-e-Khas today did not look impressive, and that Jalal's apology did not sound as well as it should have. Probably they wanted him to go down on his knees for it! He looked and sounded very sincere and yet correct and restrained, and as for the apology, he did the same after the dature ka ark matter was solved. It was very good of him to have done it then, and it is the same now. As for the DEK, it is always of the same size and has roughly the same number of attendees.

***How else should Jalal give an apology?? Should he send members in public for announcement?? Jodha didn't even apologise privately as well when she was responsible for tiger attack, nor she was sorry about telling him to die outside Amer😕, but Jalal should be more sorry? Seriously, I think sometimes, people's thoughts gets limited

I also can give answer to these fantasize people that it's very sad... She had made from Akbar every thing what she wanted...but couldn't made her son to do her last rituals acc to her faith... So pity... But koi Farida nhi I know...
