Today was a calm, pleasant episode following a stormy night of Jodha's sickness and preceding the storm to come called Ruqaiyya Begum. 😊

I have begun to think this week of episodes is like a tapestry, where if you watch all the episodes together it will be even more impactful. I enjoy doing that with the shaadi sapthaha as well.

Here are the top 5 things I liked today:

1. Jodha regaining consciousness: two things I liked about this scene, (1) the immediate concern in Jodha's face about Benezir and Jalal's safety and (2) how subconsciously Jodha held back Jalal's hand reinforcing the connection of souls and emotional support she needs from him. I was thinking of a similar scene when she awakes after the cold night (I know, body heat is a bad memory for a few) and her first extinct is to pull her hands out of Jalal's even as she is in pain- the contrast is very clear now! We can write a whole book in the evolution of hand touching in this serial! 😊

2. Jalal's speech to the awaam: I found the speech itself to be a little dramatic. However, what made it worthwhile was that it was a tribute to Jodha in every way as she had taught him how to connect with the awaam. In addition, Jodha's expressions were fantastic here combining fatigue, with pride, and gratification. He finally admitted he had a dil as well. All the things she wanted to see in him she was finally seeing- what more could she want! Also, it was lovely to hear the awaam say Shehenshah and Jodha Begum side by side.

3. Jodha's warmth towards Jalal: luckily we don't have a cold Jodha as I partially feared would occur. She loved to hear from both Moti and Salima again and again what all Jalal did for her. However, Jodha will be Jodha, she hid it behind she didn't want Shehenshah to taunt her later. 😉

4. Jalal's visit was great for minor touches. Instead of apologizing or feeling guilty, he came in and acknowledged how he had said he would never enter her hojra and asked for permission, and came in. I loved his matter of fact nod as he was reminding himself he had to do aarti (as if it was an everyday occurrence) and the way he did all the steps with utmost care. His concern about the meds was so cute- but these were little ways for him to show how much he cared for Jodha and Rajat was fantastic, cute, and innocent here. I also liked how he wrapped up the past hurt simply by saying let bygones be bygones- I am glad there was no lengthy guilt trip on how could I have said that, etc. etc. I hope tomorrow's conversation continues to be in Jalal style and not mushy as many fear.

5. The promo is true- Jalal covering Jodha with a shawl came in the precap. Now I am assured that after this track the story will move forward unlike the Mohan tiger track.

In other news, I think we all know what the next track is: Ruqs jealousy :)I think I can handle this one. As before, Jodha will avoid Jalal due to Ruq's insecurities. I think I am actually looking forward to how Jalal will handle his two begums with his tedapan. As per the spoiler, imagine if Jalal finds excuses to get his Jodha out of her shell like going out in disguise.

Let's see where the future of this epic love story will take us. I am already excited by this day out as an ordinary couple. Could these scenes be why the Zee folks were posting the Dabang pics of Rajat?

Let the epic love story begin . . . I am ready.

Divya, good to read ur take. So u managed to catch up on today's epi finally 😊 . Loved how u drew attention to Jodha s reaction to Jalal s handholding in that fake pregnancy track & today s reaction. I d missed that point. Thanks for this. And yeah , the awaam speech was drama again but both Rajat & Pari made up for it with their lovely acting 😳 . Loved that Jalal didnt fail to thank God both at the dargah as well as in Jodha s mandir. Jodha being childishly eager to hear all that the Shahenshah had done for her was also a pleasant watch too. Good to see the resumption of some civility between the leads again. But MA s back with her instigating & Ruq s is rising to the bait again 😕 . Hope not another MU already. 😲

Beautiful take as usual Divya, 😳

Everything Jalal did today was actions and not words...actions that connect him to Jodha or that he knows she appreciates...😳
The dargah visit, the awaam speech, the asking before entering, the Kanha arti, the medicine talk...
All of it...

Dear Divya, A very nice take on another beautiful episode. I too liked all of the scenes that you mentioned below. My only request for future is dignified, sometimes naughty and caring Jalal, Receptive, respectful and affectionate Jodha and reasonable, just and balanced Ruqaiya. I don't care what Maham does and does not do.

I am kind of apprehensive about this Ruqaiyya jealous track. I can not see yo yo Ruqu any more. I want her to be consistent. I am OK she being jealous. That is bound to happen. But let her not become mean and unjust. What was that yesterday : "You can ask me anything but Jalal"? Jalal is not a thing, he is a human and emperor. How can he demean Jalal like that? If Jodha tries to avoid Jalal at this juncture, I am not sure how he will take it. He will probably think that this is what Jodha wants and may decide to respect her feelings and stay away from her. I do not want that at any cost😔. I want love story now. Nothing else will satisfy me.

I have begun to think this week of episodes is like a tapestry, where if you watch all the episodes together it will be even more impactful. I enjoy doing that with the shaadi sapthaha as well.

The way Rajat called Ammijaan, Ruqaiyya as soon as he found some stirring inside Jodha was beautiful. He does not act. He lives in the character and in the situation. Amazing talent.

Agreed. Speech itself was little dramatic. But nevertheless I loved that scene just because of Rajath's and Paridi's acting. I was not sure whether Paridi can match Rajath in acting. But now I feel she is the only one who can come at least this close. She is doing really well now a days.

How cute was that? The way she asks Moti again and again about what all Jalal did for her. She looked so innocent and cute in that scene. I am also happy that she is not cold towards Jalal.

This was another beautiful scene. Again Jalal's acting was really good here. The slight shyness and confusion shown in his face, The way he hesitantly asks Moti to not let anybody to come inside, The way he does aarti and gives it to both Jodha and Moti, each of this was done really nice. I thought this was well directed scene also. I have never seen him so soft towards a servant and I liked the way he behaved with Moti today. He was a changed man, but he was not over dramatic. Yes, I too liked the way he did not apologize profusely, but subtly shown that he accepts that he had done wrong. I liked this scene a lot. I am hoping the same mood continue when he speak to Jodha today. He should apologize, but not in an over dramatic way. Let us see how the today's conversation goes. That will be the most important scene and I hope CVs will continue to be as spectacular as they were there so far in this week.

5. The promo is true- Jalal covering Jodha with a shawl came in the precap. Now I am assured that after this track the story will move forward unlike the Mohan tiger track.

The precap (minus Maham and Ruqu) and the promo were really nice. Looking forward to Jalal taking care of sick Jodha and Jodha eyeing Jalal when he does that 😉

In other news, I think we all know what the next track is: Ruqs jealousy :)I think I can handle this one. As before, Jodha will avoid Jalal due to Ruq's insecurities. I think I am actually looking forward to how Jalal will handle his two begums with his tedapan. This is awesome- and the list just continues with the ras gulla, then bangle thod scene, etc. etc. 😊 For some reason, I like the ras gulla one a lot - maybe because I like ras gullas 😊

Thanks for your comments. On Moti and Jalal, that is an interesting point. I am trying to think of Hoshiyar and Jalal interactions but none come to mind. Ever since the suicide episode,I feel Jalal has been more informal with Moti and vice versa. Moti wished Jalal a happy birthday more emphatically then Jodha 😆 I think Jalal sees an ally in Moti to deal with Jodha 😊
