I loved your comments when they were on that thread, and I love them now that I have re-read them. Especially the parts about Jalal's state of mind. I wonder, all the same,if an emperor who is still building his empire can afford such a crippling weakness for a woman. I am sure the real Akbar had no such traumas!

Yes, Severus Snape is the real hero of the Harry Potter series, and when I re-read The Prince's Take from Book 7, it still makes my eyes well up. That kind of undemanding, undying love and devotion, and that kind of icy courage that is the hallmark of a superb double agent - those make him peerless.

Yes, I too resent the fact that he was never happy after he came to Hogwarts, but remember his early scenes with Lily when they are both children? I like to think that he was happy then, despite his awful home life.

It seems a climbdown to have to revert to Jodha Akbar, but as for the part in blue, it is no use bothering about what the bulk of the forum thinks. I never do. One cannot waste non-renewable hours trying to make those with an idee fixe see the light, whether it is a question of Jalal marrying again - they probably do not know that Akbar had numerous other Rajput wives, to mention only those from that category - or his having only SKLL for Jodha, which is a sick but persistent canard.

And how does it matter anyway? Ekta does not give a hoot for the forum; her TRP sources lie elsewhere, and she knows what works for them. See, all the OTT tracks - the dature ka ark one, the false pregnancy one, the Mohan one, the Shivani elopement one, and now the Benazir one - all have one thing in common. They are all very high pitched melodrama., But, give or take a few episodes, they have all worked, and it is these tracks that have brought Jodha Akbar so close to the top of the TRP charts.

That is why I have some rational hopes that this precap is not a dream. It is not just that I do SO want it to be true. It was so splendid and satisfying.

Nor even the valid objection of how they can have the splendid Durga dushtasamharini theme, with the Durga Stuti playing in the background, as 11192 has pointed out, and then say that the evil entity was merely injured? Maa Durga would get after the CVs with her trishul, that is for sure!😉

It is more because, if the precap is for real, they can have another crackerjack of a trial for Jodha, accused of murder by Mahaam, in the Diwan-e-Khas, and it will end in her being acquitted when Zakira is finally caught and "made" to talk. That will fetch the TRPs: there is nothing like the persecution of a courageous Durga-cum-Savitri to push them to stratospheric heights.

If anyone thinks that a Benazir writhing some more from withdrawal symptoms is going to top a trial for the TRPs, they must be dreaming ! So join me and keep your fingers too crossed for Benazir to be dead and gone, the other shahi libaas they are brandishing as proof that she will be there much longer be damned!

@red. I still have hopes that Jalal has some hidden ace up his sleeve. The way he was looking up at Benazir in the boat was very calculating. Moreover, if the precap is Jodha's dream (during a post-prandial nap before setting out to tail Jalal & Benazir to the dargah, presumably!😉), then Jalal will have to save himself, which means that he has been stringing Benazir along all the time.So either we, you and I will win out!

I love snape too I was in inconsolable tears when he died. I was so mad at Rowling for not giving him even one moment of happiness. Now back to today episode I liked Jalal scene the best. The way Moti dialogues transitioned to his face and you can clearly see pain flash across his eyes, it was subtle yet powerful. I found it kind of strange that Moti being a daasi noticed he is miserable but Jodha his wife hasn't been as preceptive. I did like that cut to Jodha and Jalal pre marriage promise, for Jalal it must have been like giving the moon to her and he must have felt he check mated her and has won her now. I think he has always been in love with her but his love at the initial stages was more like a rough cut diamond, but now more a polished one. His thinking back to that moment shows how hurt he is at that fact that no matter what he does he can't win her. Why does the forum and Jodha keep obsessing over the fact that when he talks about jeethna he means her body but it is her heart and soul?

Another thing I am confused about why all this uproar, is Jalal in the show never expected to marry again. What are the writers trying to show in regards to Jalal, is the audience angry because we feel he is betraying Jodha, or we just disturbed he is taking decisions to irk Jodha not thinking straight? But I feel he cares nothing of this marriage really he is only hung up on what he feels for Jodha marriage to Benazir is only a side show and will not undo anything in regards to Jodha. Benazir can join his harem but Jodha will remain Khaas if Jalal wants to and his love for her won't change just because he has another wife. This is where MA and Ruq are miscalculating bringing Benazir in the fold with not remove Jodha from the picture not if Jalal doesn't want to. I always expected Jalal in the show to marry again so I don't really care he is marrying again, but marrying a daasi that is ridiculous.

I am pissed off he has come off stupid in this whole affair, but can't help but feeling for the poor guy at his state. He has so much unacknowledged feelings for Jodha bursting to come out, pain of rejection, fear of his love never being reciprocated must be haunting him. Small mercies by the writers that they have turned this impending marriage track to show Jalal turmoil that he is not thinking clearly because his own feelings are all tied up in knots and to top that he is afraid that even if he wants to face them Jodha won't be there for him so he is even more reluctant.

He is already tried that remember he faced his feelings, he went to Jodha and he got such a rude shock that broke his heart. He is scared to do down that path again, why should he and he is perfectly justified in wanting to do anything in his power to not suffer that pain again. I supposed that is realistic in whatever century you live in, to love and to have lost is a natural emotion and the pain would be the same whether you are a farmer or an emperor, and love makes us all do dumb things. Obviously emperor should be made of tougher mettle but our onscreen Jalal is far more emotional he is tough in other aspects but he seems just as fragile in the matters of his non existent heart.

The few moments of Jalal with Atgha Khan Lashy described so beautifully in the post of hers, he knows this is a dumb move on his part, but he is unable to steer the ship in another course regardless, it is like you are watching an accident happen right in front of your eyes but you are powerless to stop it. Portraying Jalal so vulnerable so human would have been touching to watch if it just wasn't mingled with his stupidity.

Kiddo, it is clear that you have not read many of my posts. Like the Gordian knot one, or even the Of Human Bondage one. My writing style varies greatly depending in the mood induced in me by the particular episode. It is sharply satirical when I am exasperated by the stupidities shown in one character or the other, and it is often, but not always, Jodha.When an episode moves me, I write lyrically, for I am enthused to do so. Ok, let us take it that it is a dream. It would have to be Jodha's dream, for the KT does not know that Jodha Begum is an excellent teerandaaz. Salima tells Jodha during the day that Jalal and the KT are going jamunapaar to the dargah that night. When did the distraught Jodha have that dream - during a post-prandial nap?😉

Moreover, if it is a dream, and in reality, Jodha is on the bank and Jalal and the KT in the boat, how will he escape? Why would the boatride be uneventful when the KT is determined to complete her task that very night? Do you really think that the big built Salima can be passed off as a baandi, and whose baandi, come to think of it? Not the KT's and Jalal would not have any with him outside the palace.

And do you think the KT would let a baandi push her into a boat different from the one for Jalal which would mean her whole plan being sabotaged? No, no, Bobby, this does not hold together at all.

Your alternative scenario @blue is so predictable, my child, that my heart sank when I read it. It is precisely the sort of thing that you all keep complaining about as hammy and pedestrian, and here you are proposing the same sort of thing!😉😉

All this apart, the key factor in deciding a track is the anticipated TRPs. Now, if Jodha has shot and killed Benazir, they can have another crackerjack of a trial for Jodha, accused of murder by Mahaam, in the Diwan-e-Khas. It can drag on for a week, with Jalal visiting Jodha off and on in the prison, and it will end in her being acquitted when Zakira is finally caught and "made" to talk. That will fetch the TRPs: there is nothing like the persecution of a courageous Durga-cum-Savitri to push them to stratospheric heights.

As I posted in Mansi's thread, my theory about the precap is as follows:

Jodha trying to kill Ben with arrows has to be a dream. I do not think that Salima would have approved that plan of hers mainly because that will put Jodha in trouble. There will not be any way of proving Ben a Vishakanya (how will Ben wear the Nikah costume if she died now?). I think the actual boat ride will be uneventful. May be Salima goes with Jalal and Ben as Bandi. She will accompany Ben in the boat whereas Jalal goes in a different boat. They come back and Zakira would have fled the palace as Ben was not going to come back after killing Jalal.

In the absence of Zakira, it would be more easier for Jodha/Salima duo to make sure that she does not get her daily dose of poison. On the day of Nikah (before the nikah), Ben will try to kill Jalal and Jodha saves him from her. In the process Jodha gets bitten and will get effected by the poison and Jalal will accept his love for Jodha (at least to himself) when Jodha is in serious condition. As Ben 's poison was not so strong at the time she had bitten, Jodha will recover later.

I don't think your wish of Jodha running to Jalal and hugging him may not happen as she falls down to ground after Ben bites her. But do not get disheartened 😉. May be she tells "Shahanshaah, thank God you are safe!!" when she is unconscious and Jalal sitting there near the bedside might hear her blabbering and might get really touched by this 😊.

Leaving the precap out and if I have to talk about the episode, the first scene of Moti/Jodha and Atgah/Jalal was a really good one. May be the best scene of this week. Both Paridi and Rajat acted so well in this scene. I was also thinking that the scene would have been much better if the old Moti was there. Wait, why I have started my cribs again. I had decided to only talk about the positive aspects in an episode now onwards...The last scene which showed the way Jodha was relieved after getting to know there is at least one person who is at her side (that too the smart and mature Salima whom Jodha believes the most) was good. She was so happy that there is one person who can help her in her "Save Shahanshaah from Naagin" mission. It's actually very difficult to think straight when you are alone. Just the thought that there is another person with you at the time of crisis, will sharpen your brain lot more. I could see the same thing happening to Jodha in last scene and Paridi's acting was very good in that.

Actually one more thought came to me yesterday. We have seen that whenever CVs show very bad episodes for some time, even an average episode receives lot of praise (more than it deserves). I was thinking why should not we employ this in our lives too (I told this in Lashy's thread also). Do not do your work properly for a month. Your boss will be frustrated with you to the core. Do little bit better in the next month and your boss will be very pleased with you. You will probably get more praise than if you had done great job consistently. I know I am getting bad ideas by CVs of Jodha Akbar. Please do not take me seriously, I am just kidding here😉.

We had the dhakoslabaazi a couple of days ago and now this. I loved it and after a long time I was clapping hard for Jodha. She is on an upward swing ever since the Mughal Khaandaan ki Begum.

Shivaani has done unto Jodha what the suicide fiasco had done unto Jalaal. Given her a sense of belonging and pehchaan with him. The penultimate barrier broken. The ultimate being the final acceptance of the truth that she is scared to face as of now. Her conversation with Moti was very revealing, a much needed one to confirm her amar prem, many symptoms of which were bursting forth uncontrollably-fear, anxiety, helplessness, anger due to it, concern, tears... Pari was good.

But Rajat did not need even that conversation to reveal what he felt. His eyes and face conveyed it all. And the flashback - What more does she want from me...why is that nothing I do is sufficient to win her...his frustrations, helplessness, disappointments and confusions at what he felt - we can forgive him for his frozen brains.😆(Wish he had Abdul with him - he would have hinted and even explained to his Shahenshah. Atgah sahib just nodded as usual😕).

Romance came through so well in yesterday's episode even when the duo were not in the same frame. Both of them were emotionally somewhat 'ek hi kashthi pe sawaar' for the first time.

Coming back to the flashback - wasn't she the Jodha that we longed to see😳? Courageous, determined, feeling-ful, ,(not the stick-rigid emotionally-blank blinkered nitwit that she was these recent months) ...the very girl who was demanding for Jalal ka sar to Kaali Maa became a Kaali Maa herself to protect the very Jalal ka sar and was all set to vanquish the evil mercilessly (no concern for pashu-pakshi when they are not nirdosh😆).

I'll want to samhaar the CVs if this turned out to be a dream.😡 HEAR, HEAR!

As for the outcome, whether jodha stays or vanishes, whether she has proof witnessed by Salima before she set out to Samhaar or did not, murder trial, temple of Jodha Devi (😲 - that she was in the precap), completion of the vampification of Ruqaiya (Her spirit IS going to dhaaran Kaali Maa roop and vadh the CVs for sure) or the thinnest door-matification of Jalal, ...we'll have to wait and see.

P.S: Like money speaks the language people of all nationalities understand, TRPs speak the language that all CVs understand. Hope they do away with Ben for good. (She looked like her puke- so awful in Begum Libaas.) I'm not too sure about the Salim Chisti part. It looked suddenly interjected to lure the audience hoping for romance back to the show...like a promise of lollipop to a child.

PS: Is the murder trial what Salim Chishti referred to as black clouds that will relolve itself soon with the help of Jalal's brains that get on high alert when it comes to Jodha .😔 Now that is a thought!

That is the term I coined for Benazir, my dear, short for khaas tohfa.
