If I am not wrong Mumtaz Mahal died due to childbirth when she was 40. That is well beyond the age quoted by you. And makes your statement "once wife reached 30 years king/prince would not keep husband-wife relation with that wife/cocubbine" irrelevant.

MUZ lived way beyond akbar lived.

Jodha is still not ready for consummation, and don't go by history, it has no connection with reality.
Once she accepts the marriage and gets ready for consummation, we may also see the possessiveness, wifey demands, nakhras and all..😊

after first night of marriage the bed was checked and if girl is proved as not virgin she was killed immediately no matter if she was princess, queen, ordinary etc.Exception was if girl was very small child bride like ruqaiah then when she became mature a feast took place and agian same thing happened or other man's wife(like salima)/widows(like nur jahan). The same was definetly done for jodha in 15th century same day of marriage. Also once wife reached 30 years king/prince would not keep husband-wife relation with that wife/cocubbine.
I was also shocked to know all this but its truth
So what is shown in serial is wrong that akbar kept away from her etc may be he was not close to her and hence after first night kept away tfrom her. But there is no evidence of that in history.

Dear myviewprem,
I too would like to get the reference of the book where the "V-test" Authenticity of partners of the Emperor has been written down to this detail...😕 As far as I know, only certain norms followed in the harem about unmarried girls were documented in Akbar's reign and that too was done for preserving certain rights of these girls , but that was not for the Begums or Royal concubines . But I choose NOT TO DISCUSS THESE THINGS in the open forum.

Also, a Begum's conjugal expiry date set to 30 , this statement is quite dubious...as we have more than one examples defying that ...😕

As for the details that u posted, I think certain things are GOING OFF THE MARK AND IS BORDERING ON INDECENCY...The open forum is not the best place to discuss these things as PM is there...Hope u get the point...😒

This was one incident told to us in our history class(school) about jehangir
his cocubbine or wife became pregnant but mughals/nobels as a rule would not have relation with women after 30 or something. So jehangir was furious she cheated him and she was punished with death.
Mumtaz may be an exception because shah jahan never took any wife after her and she did not allow him to go to his first two wives after marrying her.
I do not want to discuss in this forum about these things because this is serial forum not some political/news forum. I just said what i know. You can verify by googling about these things on net or read some books written by historians.
It is a fact even in 21st century pls see that program in history channel or discovery they said this customs followed even today in many parts of africa and asia like afghanistan etc. And these things are not written in official books or published in autobiographies. These are things they have researched and stories told from centuries. Only thing written in books need not be authentic. Because such brutalities are not recorded in autobiographies sponsored by emperors or people in fear etc. But they are spoken long after such incidents.
I just wanted forum people to be aware of the brutalities taken place on innocent woman in name of customs in those times not only by emperors but by other men. Its still taking place in many places just that its not coming on news as it shall not give TRP. But that does not mean its a lie it happens.

Shah Jahan did take i think two wives after Mumtaz 's death. Mumtaz was not his last wife . Shah Jahan also had children even after marrying Mumtaz from other wives.I think one to two, but there name is not recorded. Shah Jahan's loved Mumtaz no doubt, but after Mumtaz died. I think he had concubine who was his favorite.
