Amazing post! And very well written! Forgiving Bakshi was a great decision. Forgiveness can sometimes be the best source of peace for a punisher. What I am trying to say by that is that if Jodha had punished Bakshi, what Bakshi did would not be erased. Jodha would be fighting a battle within herself like Jalal is after punishing her. However, Jodha is no longer experiencing any grief because she has forgiven her. I don't think it would be wise for Jodha to forget what Bakshi did and become best buddies with her again but I think it is a wise decision to forgive her and move on because what has been said and done has been said and done. Jodha not only is the bigger person in this scenario, but a wise one. Bakshi will always feel guilty for what she has done. She was already guilty for doing what she had done and the forgiveness will just add to her guilt. A life lesson that I personally have learned is that you should forgive and let go. Doesn't mean that you should forget what the other person has done, but just don't harbor any negative feelings for them and make your own life miserable. You don't have to be the same around then again, but don't be negative either. The best punishment is indifference. Peaceful for the punisher because they don't have to harbor any feelings for the accused person and a great punishment for the accused if they have a moral conscious.
