Perfectly put. This story had such great potential but they are killing it. We could bang our heads against the wall, when has jodha acted queen like, only once in the temple where she defended him. Who the hell is the writer for that episode lets get him back. Infact if jodha continues like a petulant child, they should ramp up jalal to be tough again. He is being too sappy and for what purpose we all know he is likes her but is that feeling justified enough to put up with her nonsense. There is no way in seven hell a man of his stature and the century he is part of where nothing but abject devotion is expected from the women would put up with this condescending attitude. The sheer audacity of her not wanting him to touch her is not something real like akbar would have put up with. But we give jodha that right so does jalal because from a story telling pov it works. I can't for the life of me understand her other nature, she is a princess and queen for god sakes does she not know how to speak with her husband.

I want the jalal back that was there after marriage, he was not cruel but that attitude was right when handling her. He seemed irritated when she questioned him, kept her in her place without yielding his own position but at the same time not coming off like a chauvinist. Jalal after her suicide was good the speech where he justified his position and reprimanded her for her idiocy was bang on. They need to play this romance conforming to the expectations that the characters part of to make it realistic, if not it would not be jodha akbar just some random people in fancy dress. Once akbar stops being akbar then it is all over, the actor is so popular even though the real akbar might not have been so complying we are willing to accept his portrayal. But the charm of his persona all depends on him continue to portray i am the emperor feeling.

I feel like they are taking away the justified part of her resentment because of her uncontrolled behavior. They are making her character rather inconsistent and giving mixed signals.

Lana seeing u on IF after loong time😳 😃

I hve to agree, Jodha showing so much ego in front of Jalal needs to be toned dwn. But I think he is the only one she is MOST comfortable with amongst her in laws..being her husband..her comfort level would be high most with him...& it is like us women na...where we are comfy we take out our frustration n shw ego there😆

Very well put!

In today's world some one like Jodha will be termed as 'bade baap ki bigdi huyi nakchadi beti' and that should definitely not come across as far as Jodha is concerned because she in history is looked upon with great dignity and personality and that is why her mother-in-law liked her so much.
I was shocked in that episode where she called Jalal a 'pashu'. I can guarantee in that age no body would have dared to call their husband that forget the emperor and Jalal just laughed it off. f Ruqaiya was there Jodha would have got another slap from her.

CV's you better do something soon. We are not asking Jodha to worship Jalal or lose her identity but all this could be done with dignity and righteous attitude. hen only the respect comes, you have to earn respect by giving respect.

Sorry can't agree. Its not a common husband and wife, we are talking about an emperor and a princess and their decorum and attitude is very different from common man. Even at this day and age look at the royal family, no matter how they try to be in league with commoners still they stand apart with their behavior and attitude and if they so much sneeze or burp it becomes news about lack of mannerism and here we are talking about the 16 th century where the decorum and behavior and mannerism were held in high respect where the royals were concerned.
