Jodha properly covered herself with he shawl that Jalal had given her...and left for her khema...Moti met her at the entrance and enquired about the entire incident and thereafter helped Jodha change her clothes...They were still in the midst of their conversation when a baandi enters with a sandesh...
Baandi- Rani sahiba...Shahenshah ne paigam bhijwaya hai ki sab log jald hi sab lo bhojan krne ke baad tayyar ho jaaye...aage ki yaatra ke liye jald hi yahan se kooch karna hai...
Moti- hmm...tum chalo...hum Jodha ko lekar aate hain...
(baandi leaves...)
Jodha- parantu Moti...Abhi jo bhi hua...uske baad hamari ichha hi nahi ho rahi bhojan karne ki...aur upar se wahan jayenge to fir se shahenshah ke katu vyavhaar ko jhelna padega... Hum ghrina karte hain unse...
Moti- thik hai Jodha...aap yahin rahiye...hum bhojan aapke kheme me hi mangwane ka intzaam karte hain...
(Jodha nods in affirmation...and Moti leaves from there to make arrangements for Jodha's breakfast to be served in her khema itself...)
Moti reaches the place where food is being prepared and served...As she asks one baandi to help her arrange a bhojan thaal for Jodha...Mahamanga comes there...
Mahamanga- Aye baandi...(referring to Moti Bai...)Aap ye bhojan thal alag se kiske liye laga rahi hain??
Moti- ji...wo...pranam Mahamanga ji...ji wo hum to Jodha ke liye unke kheme me...wo unki tabiyat kuch thik nahi lag rahi thi...to hum...
Mahamanga- khane ki thaal ko wahi rakh do...tum bhi yahan par nayi ho...isliye hum tumhe bhi ek hidayat dena chahenge...ki yahan shahenshah ke hukum ke khilaf kuch bhi nahi hota...aur sjhahenshah ka hukum hai ki aaj wo Jodha begum ke saath hi khana khayenge...aur wo bhi apne hi kheme me...jaiye aur ye paigam de dijiye apni Jodha Begum ko...Jaiye...(she shouts...)
...Moti hurriedly keeps down the bhojan thaal...and heads to Jodha's chamber to inform her...
Moti- Jodha...
Jodha- Arrey Moti...tum itni jaldi kaise aa gayi?? Aur ye tumhara chehra kyun utra hua hai? Kisi ne kuch kaha tumhe?
Moti- Nahi wo...Jodha...hum to aapka bhojan yahin laane wale the...parantu...Mahamanga ji ne hume rok dia...aur bataya ki shahenshah ka aadesh hai ki aap aaj unke saath hi bhojan karein...wo bhi unke kheme me...
Jodha-(in an angry tone...)Na jaane kya chahte hain wo humse...Pehle kal raat humare kaksh me aakar aisa anuchit yavhaar kia...fir hume bina kisi galti ke hi kitni bhali buri baatein sunayi aur ab hamare hi sath bhojan karna chahte hain...na jaane ab kya chal raha hai unke dimaag me...avashya hi hume satane ka...hume kasht ahunchane ki koi yojna banai hogi...parantu hum unki ye yojna safal nahi hone denge...hum bhookhe reh lenge parantu unke kheme me unke saath bhojan karne nahi jaenge...
Moti- parantu Jodha...agar wo is baat se naaraaz ho gaye aur unhe ap par krodh aa gaya to...na jaane kya karenge wo...Jodha ek baar fir se soch lijiye...
Jodha- Moti...hum jaante hain...ki hume kya karna hai aur kya nahi...hum unke paas nahi jaenge...aur iske liye yadi hume bhookha bhi rehna pade to hum reh lenge...parantu us insaan ki ichcha ke samaksh kabhi nahi jhukenge...jisse hum ghrina karte hain...
Moti---parantu Jodha-----
Jodha- Moti...ab hum koi vivaad nahi karna chahte hain is vishay par...tum jao aur bhojan kar lo...hum aaram karna chahte hain...
Moti- Jaisi aapki ichha...(she leaves...)
INSIDE JALAL'S CHAMBER:
Jalal- Attka sahab...aap yahan se chalne ki mukammal tayyariyan karwaiye...hum agle hi peher yahan se agra ke liye nikalenge...
Attka sahab- ji shahenshah...hum chalne ke saare intzaamaat kara dete hain...aap befikr rahein...
Jalal- hmm...ab aap ja sakte hain...
Meanwhile Mahamanga enters Jalal's chamber along with a daasi who is holding a lavish bhojan thaal...
Mahamanga-(to daasi...) issey yahin rakh do...(referring to food...)(to Jalal...)- Jalal aapka khana to tayyar hai...parantu khabar hai ki aapki nayi begum shayad aapke saath khane ka lutf nahi lena chahti...unhone apni daasi se kehkar apne hi kheme me khana lagwane ki farmaish rakhi hai...
Jalal- Nahi badi ammi...hum aisa nahi hone denge...aaj tak kisi ki himakat nahi hui ki wo hamari baat taale...unhe yahan to aana hi padega...(with an evil smirk...) Badi ammi Jodha begum ko ye paigam bhijwaiye...ki wo abhi isi waqt yahan haazir ho...
Jalal- Jaisi aapki marzi Jalal...hum abhi paigam bhijwate hain...(she leaves...)
Jalal( to himself...)- Jodha begum...hum aapko apne sath khane ke liye apne kheme me isliye bula rahe the...taaki akele me hum aapse kal raat aur aaj subah ke vakye ke liye maafi maang sake...parantu ab nahi...hamare zara sa jhukne se aapke guroor ko aur sheh mil jaegi...aur hum aisa kabhi nahi hone denge...hum aapse nafrat karte hain...aur is baat ka ehsas hum aapko har pal karwate rahenge...
A daasi comes to inform Jodha about Jalal's order and says that Shahenshah is very angry too...Jodha becomes anxious on hearing this...but has no option except to obey his command lest he loses his temperament...she heavy-heartedly heads to Jalal's khema fearing what might be awaiting for her...
Jodha (at the entrance...)- Aapne hume bulaya??( her eyes gazing the ground...)
Meanwhile Jalal had seated himself infront of a table that had been set up for his breakfast...and the various delicacies were now adorning it...
Jalal- (with a victorious smile...) Aaiye Jodha Begum...hum aap hi ka intzaar kar rahe the...aaiye baithiye...hamare saath bhojan kiiye...
Jodha- nahi...hume bhookh nahi hai...aap kha lijiye...
Jalal- Aapko bhookh nahi hai to mat khaiye...lekin ek begum hone ke naate aapka farz banta hai ki aap apne shauhar ko apne haaton se khane parose...aur tab tak yahan hamare sath baithe...jab tak hum khana nahi kha lete...aur ye hamari iltaza nahi hai...ye hamara hukm hai...(he said with his tone a little more stern...)
Jodha looka at him with disgust...but considers it wise to obey his orders instead of creating a scene before all the courtiers present there...she sits down next to him...
Jodha places a plate before him...and starts serving food unwillingly...all the while she is busy serving the various food items in his plate...Jalal can't help but stare at her face...which was now red due to the strange combination of anger and embarassment together...her beauty was breathtaking even in this angry mode...her internal fight to control her outburst was clearly visible on her face...and her body language revealed her discomfort and uneasiness due to his proximity...As Jodha leaned forward to serve a dish kept far and diagonally opposite her...Jalal made no attempt to move aside...Jodha tried in vain to keep as much distance from him as possible but Jalal had decided it otherwise...he kept his posture firm and fixed...in a hurry to end this torment Jodha quickly leaned forward to serve the last dish on his plate...and as she bent...a lose hair strand of hers...traced Jalal's cheeks and he closed his eyes...mesmerized by the fragrance it brought along...
