Yes Akbar was remarkably Mongolian looking , unlike his siblings or off-spring.
Shah Jahan used to look Hindustani/or Hindustaani Muslim, so did Jehangir (if I can typecast in such a way)

It was Akbar & his Ammi Jaan by the looks of it, who had Mongolian features.

Yep.
Clearly women were into the whole beauty language long long long before many believed so. 😆

True that. Jehangir onward, the Rajput genes had begun to seep through and by the time we reached Zafar, almost 60%+ bloodline was Rajput.😆😆😆...Mongol genes took a backseat.

@ Vicky thanks for the info.It started that early huh.😲

@Malika e Bhas, so ur telling me if I lived in harem, I would have to compete affection of one man? And, stay loyal to man through out my life who you never know when he showed up to your chambers. And, my biggest weapon would be my intelligence and beauty.O God, the feminist in me can never imagine living in a place like that.😆The women were def unlucky except when they bore heirs.I can't never imagine myself living in a place like that .I feel sorry how these women were abandoned.

Yes they did but women unless they were kinky like that 😉

No instrument, object, piece or even a vegetable!! 😲 That resembled the male organ could ever enter the Mughal Haram. In such a state of loneliness &'desperation, a large no of Mughal women used to turn to each other or their eunuchs to find physical love & solace.

The Mughals were very advanced for the time they lived in. There were a no of methods known for various problems etc. for beauty enhancement, abortions, love making & God knows what all.

All women only wanted one thing-To somehow become dear to the Emperor for from whom him, and only him, stemmed All Power.

Beauty, was their currency to obtain it. 😊

And some women like Noor Jehan, had it all! 😳

My oh my! They were so advanced! 😲 Thanks for sharing this info.

I'm getting to know so many new things ⭐️

@Clumsy_Wings: that's exactly what I am telling you.
The ferocious feminist in me would've committed suicide.

It's a strange day when I start to feel bad for Jodha . 😆

For our generation it is very much unthinkable but at that time these things were very common.

Women had little standing more than objects of desire and baby making machines, unless they enthralled a man with their brain and charm. Infact , in some of the paintings of medieval times, women were deliberately painted small in comparison to men - to show their standing in society.

Imagine a 1000+ haram of women ALL competing for the attention, affection or even charity of only ONE man!!! Enhancing their beauty, the senior women (in favour or rank & both ways) sharpening their brains, engaging in political matters all in a bid to impress or engage the Emperor.
No wonder Jalal thinks that the sun shines out of him. 😆
