Thank you, my dear. Oh yes, that scene was a pleasure to watch, but today, it began to get tiresome, her sniping at his gentle teasers. She has zero sense of humour, on top of everything else!

As always, it was a pleasure to read your post. As you said it was silly of Jodha to demand where Jalal was taking her. Nevertheless, I don't know why, but as I watched that scene, I had an insane urge to laugh. Maybe because I was thinking: good lord jodha, Jalal is royally pissed and you have the nerve to DEMAND, not even ask politely or softly. Heck if it was me, I probably would have stayed quiet, but Jodha on the other hand never fails to surprise me. I absolutely enjoyed watching that scene because it was so unexpected (plus the expressions were phenomenal)! 😆

Yes, Anu (?), I agree with all of this. Except that as of now, I have not seen her giving him much of caring; the defence at the bazaar was for the Shahenshah, not for Jalal.

With him the Mughal aan, baan aur shaan leit motif , and his assertion of his dislike for her, are clearly a defence mechanism, as was evident afresh from his very moving exchange tonight with Mahaam. He understands Jodha, though she gets on his nerves non-stop. She neither understands him, nor will she make for him even a fraction of the allowances she makes even for those who plot against her, like Ruqaiya or Mahaam.
So I do not equate them in the matter of blind stubbornness.

As I wrote to Nandini earlier on this thread, Jodha is a very warmhearted and good girl, but she is opinionated, unyielding in her prejudices, and with no understanding of anything beyond her Amer. It is like a frog in a well. She has no idea of the complexities of an empire, and worse, has no desire to learn either. She has been spoilt by her whole family and told constantly that she can do no wrong, and here in Agra, Hamida spoils her even worse. No wonder she is the way she is.

It would do her a lot of good to fall helplessly in love, and have to try and win over the object of her affections. Alas, it is unlikely to happen, given the usne haivaan ko banaya insaan theme!

Thank you for the kind comments on this post and others of mine.

Yes Shyamala. (and considering am probably old enuf to be your aunt, am dropping the "Aunty")...
Jodha Jodha I hear you all when u say her attitude and behavior is bordering haughtiness...
and that we are yet to see any move from her to make this marriage work...True and no doubt..
But somewhere I feel its just a facade she has and matter of time, Jalal will break it. Somehow its only with Jalal that we see this "side" of hers.
Ive been waiting for Pyare Mohan...Now even the snake is gonna appear but no sight of him...
Anycase the way this story is being spun, I feel that the little encounter with him and seeing Jalal actually fight for her will mark the official start of taming of Jodha.
The creatives have a huge task ahead and I hope we not only see a love story develop but also see each of them making the other a better person.

Well, Anu, I do not know about your being old enough to be my aunt, seeing that I am 60++, but Shyamala it is.

I particularly liked the balance in the very last sentence. The problem for me, in large part, has been the putting of Jodha in the white category - everyone chants this mantra, the latest being Hamida yesterday - and Jalal in the deep grey, if not black category. Whence the Jodha kaise haivaan ko banayegi insaan tagline, which sets my teeth on edge😉.

You have not done so, which is refreshing.

I agree in toto re: @blue.

Okay looks like you are indeed much older, but will stick to Shyamala...Feels less formal.
They both are good souls but have flaws.
So I too don't think the tagline is right, instead I see a journey where they help each other grow and help bring out the best in each of them.
