QUOTE=sashashyam] <font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">Thank you so much, my dear Nandini.
I must tell you that I read your comments on Vicki's thread and I liked them very much, so thoughtful and well reasoned. You really should write much more, and I am delighted to see this today.
Jodha, my dear, is a very warmhearted and good girl, but she is opinionated, stubborn, and with no understanding of anything beyond her Amer. It is like a frog in a well. She can understand nothing of the complexities of an empire, and worse, has no desire to learn either. She has been spoilt by her whole family and told constantly that she can do no wrong, and here in Agra, Hamida spoils her even worse. No wonder she is the way she is.
It would do her a lot of good to fall helplessly in love, and have to try and win over the object of her affections. Alas, it is unlikely to happen, given the
usne haivaan ko banaya insaan theme!
As for the quotations, I have fun with them, which is the only way to treat the words of the great and wise!

Beautiful Post as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. For me yesterday is all about Jalal...loved him doing things under pretext of mughal shaan. Jodha is behaving as stubborn kid...I wasnt able to understand why is she upto suicide. Is it her mothers rejection or the shame to face jalal?? Her grihnaa is sounding shallow...and her antarathma too profess the same. Hope she has rational mind apart from guroor to think and assess his actions and words under the defence of mughal shaan
Your quotes from Shakespeare to harry potter and aliceis commandable.
