Maham Anga told Jodha in a recent episode that her mother was coming to Agra. So Jalal, MA, etc. would not be surprised about Mainavati turning up in Agra.
What I think was the problem was that Mainavati scolded Jodha in public.

Hi dear 🤗welcome back
Ok...now to your very very well written points...😃
My take - I don't think anyone would like to watch a pristinely perfect Jodha..at least I wouldn't ...I love her with all of her faults, just like I do Jalal...however, unfortunately for us history has always been more forgiving of men's faults than women...maybe it's been designed that way since women are far more liberal at welcoming a faulty man than vice versa...also, disadvantage is that women themselves are far less accepting of another woman's 'supposed faults' ...
anyway, none would ever argue with all that Jodha has lost today... she's lost anything and everything - but, in a way she is partly to blame for it too..
I love her anger, her impulsiveness (not the suicide act) when she retorts at the Shehenshah for her rights, I love her giving it back to MA/Ruqs (the few times she's done so), love her sacrificial nature when it comes to her own family, love her devotion/protectiveness to people she loves, her skills with the sword, her wish to stand for the truth - her fearlessness when she does so, her compassion etc etc
I can totally forgive her when she decides to leave her common sense behind and commit acts that are capable of jeopardizing her own sanity too😳...she is human, after all (like how she'd first told Mothi she wouldn't approach Shehenshah without proof and next second she lands at his chamber with MA)

BUT...what I don't like is her prejudiced nature against Jalal...the thing is, had she been prejudiced against anyone else it mightn't have mattered as much...she's chosen to butt heads with the most powerful monarch of her time - who by chance happens to be her pati- and THAT is changing the course of her life like none other! Even the most hard-hearted person can see that Jalal has mellowed and done for her what he rarely does for others (definitely for no one who doesn't give him the time of the day!) and her failure to recognize that for even a single moment in the past 2 months of her married life makes her appear a bit ungrateful.
Jalal was cruel during the MC fiasco no doubt - however, she entered Agra knowing/believing that he was a Jallad! So, that act of his possibly didn't shock her as much as it would have you or me! However, on the other end of the scale - when things were not as bad - its not like he hasn't admired her for what she was - be it her intelligence at chess, her skills with the sword, her beauty, her wit with poetry, her novel stall at the bazaar, her temper, be it respecting her wishes at arthi - didn't ANY of them ever strike her - even once?
This is what ends up tilting my arguments in favour of Jalal sometimes ..
There is a famous saying...people tend to always recognize what stands out...Jodha has been portrayed pure and WHITE - so any fault stands out...
Jalal has been portrayed grey and dark (BLACK) - so any good deed stands out...

MY rev is in a little disheveled order thanks to the order of watching, but still:
Adham and his useless space time ! 🥱 how did javeda's family marry her to this pathetic excuse for a human ! 🤢 poor thing !

The star of today was mainavati ! 👏
And no it's not a fan girl reason that jodha won't go or that ! It's the fact that they showed her as a realistic queen today than the hyper mother ! 😎
We all know that in reality in that era no parent would take a daughter back like that so I'm glad that mainavati that too with some firing told jodha that she can hate her but she won't let her or Jalal's fights get into her family's misery ! 👍🏼
Also her line that she needs to understand and change her husband and she would only say that
@ PUBLIC tamasha!
OK... I have a mixed view... I might have been real mad at jalal if this was Deewan-e-aam, but I suppose that the fact that mughal court had two DIFFERENT courts, AAM- public and KHAAS- private, that should be a slight affirmative in his side that khaas is supposed to be for only close ones! 🤔- mostly family and high esteemed ministers! Plus I feel if they were there with the thought of a divorce, they would have to follow some official procedures to do so in front of some people! 😳
See it is dramatic irony! We feel mad that all this happened in front of wicked ones like MA, Adham, Ruq, etc. but that is not how AkDha, Maina or all think! 😊
I too wish this was done in the bedroom only between maina, and AkDha since today Jodha fell from Maina's eyes for OTHERS! but it is okayish given it was not a big court!
But I loved how she understood in her soul talk that she cannot go to amer at all as it will hurt sukku ka future! 😭 also how in DEK itself she says to maina that she is proud of her decision ! Clap

@ Red: Forget about the 16tyh Century, when my marraige wa sfixed before giving concent to my in laws, my father came to me and re-checked about my decision. Then he clearly (can call crystal clear) told me that " he is going ahead with the rishta after my consent and has not getting me married off blind folded. So after marriage, I am welcomed there only as a guest and never to go tyo them with a complaint. If i have some issues, I have to try and sort it out with my hubby, if failed, will ahve to aproach my in laws. but not pack my luggage and head for maika.
The irony is I have a daughter and for all probebility, I might advise her the same. Marriage is meant to stay and not to break.
With reagrd to Public tamasha: They are not any common husband and wife. They are the rulers who set examples to their subjects. So the way he maaried her publicly by following all the rituals, he is sending her back also with propr procedures. There needs to be some witness and it is not just between Jodha & Jalal. If that was the case. Jalal would have simply took her with him and dropped her to Amer OR sent her with his own escort team There was no need for him to send a paigam to Amer to ask them to conme over.

😊

Not fair woman.. you have a way with words, I don't...
but does that stop me... Naah
😆Anyhow, the wrongs by Jalal far stand out against his rights.
Jodha had no control over her own marriage... Jalal had and even when Jo tried the last resort of putting forth exhorbitantly blatant wish of maintaining her religion, he agreed only to ensure the marriage happens😉
He was the one who wanted his 'pardhanasheen ' begum to sing on the first evening on way to Agra and brutally dragged her in the middle of the court to sing...making salsa salad out of muglai shaan...
he was the one who manhandled her causing black n blue bruises on her fair round hands
the whole MC episode is way too scary...
So yes his wrongs and bad behavoir overshadows his good deeds. And lets not forget Jodha is not a woman who'd be easily charmed, far from that. She needs and deserves a lot of wooing...
And Jalal does only war-ring...
i am glad she holds her head high even after being in such difficult situation... Why even maham is her fan now.
Jodha;s wrongs are far and few. She is biased all say. I disagree, she has her reasons for not appreciating seemingly small gestures, why even the no good minnie is un impressed. and here we are talking of Ameri princess.
Jalal has a long way to go if he wants to impress me and Jodha.
And about my parents refusing to take me back from an abusive marriage?😲 I am sure they would coz they always taught me to respect myself. So yeah I haven't tested, but god forbid if my lazy charming hubby turns into a haiwaan overnight, I'll call it quits and my parents will support!
And I'll definitely tell my daughter to count on me in times of trouble and not feel abandoned.
Btw the nafrat and ghrina ...aren't there any more synonyms of these words? I am tired of hearing them.🤢
Oh and Lash, you are too good with words...

Minno firstly thank you for the compliments milady...anything that's made you come out of your shell and post more than a few lines has GOT TO BE an achievement...🥳 I'm celebrating now!

Now, when you write down on a paper -Jalal's wrongs vs Jodha's wrongs, Jalal's wrongs are going to outweigh hers - no doubt about it...but he's also changed from then...he's taken more than a few steps and yet, she still stands where she stood at the start - hence, the subtle outcries...

Also, no doubt our parents would take us back..no doubt we'd take our daughters back its the 21st century minoo...however if we were in the 16th???????

Hi to both of u,
In my opinion, the showcase of ill-temper and misdeed has happened from both sides...and almost in an alternating way...!!! And that's the problem here...😕
Whenever one of them was hostile, the other was behaving like a frightened kitten😲 and when the previous cools off , the Kitten becomes the Tiger and pounces on...😡!!!! The whole thing happens in an ill-timed fashion , leaving very little chance of Both being Cool simultaneously at any point...

About the Mother-Daughter convo...The logic given by MV is very apt for that Era...It is the time, position of women in society and the type of upbringing that used to shape thoughts of the Ladies ...In Fact , the portrayal of Jodha's Open Bagaawat and refusal of her Husband is a bit odd here as that is something Ms.EK imbibed in her for the sake of the Storyline... Much so when her own parents had decided to be civil and courteous towards their revered JawaiSa...!!!

No point in comparing our age with the 16th Century,As, if we had been born in that era, we too would have had different perspective abt ourselves and our positions in the society...😭 Completely unlike Today where almost all of us know that our parents will welcome us back if this kind of situation happens..Thanks to the enlightenment of Women 😊 ..!! Having seen similar incident in my own family just as that , I can openly declare so...!!😊
