Shyamala:
Almost concurrently I've done my take on yesterday's episode at:
So I won't repeat it here. But you're right, yesterday started with some impressive signals but then events petered out, as it were, leaving me asking: "How much more of this?"😡

Yes he said hopes & not that he knows or even thinks.
So he means that tomorrow if Jalal tries to pull terrible deeds against his bird heart sons (barring Maan Singh) and Tantrum-O-Begum Jodha, Amer will stop supporting Agra(?) that's what it seems like..

If Raaja Bhaarmal can stand & say all this to Jalal's tiger-like Imperial self, he's much braver than all his sons put together 😆.

One, Jodha seems not at all bothered by the fact that Ratan Singh was a shelterer of dacoits who preyed on innocent people, and was in effect a dacoit at one remove himself, and thus hardly good husband material for Sukanya.

Jodha is deliberately being blind - she just wants Jalal to feel embarrassed!

Two, she never mentions the death of Jalal's baby as something for which she would not forgive Mahaam.

I don't know why CVs want to portray Jodha so insensitive! The baby's death is a way more appropriate reason to show her anger on MahamAnga - rather than the reason for being insulted.

At that point Jodha's script, whatever it was, goes awry, for the wannabe mongoose is suddenly attacked by the rattlesnake. Mahaam Anga seizes the bit in her mouth, like a runaway horse, and hustles Jodha to meet the Shahenshah.

Jodha's grey matters seem to go on & off. She found out the culprit so astutely, then why did she blabber out everything to the culprit herself? Only if her grey matters didn't switch off at that moment - MahamAnga wouldn't have been alert.

Coming to Jalal, I loved the subtle change in him - he removed his shoes & then entered the Mandir. He remembers everything taught by Jodha.

After MahamAnga instigates him, I hope this time Jalal controls his temper & doesn't lash out on Jodha. If he does - boy you need anger management classes immediately!

Very nice analysis aunty!!!👍🏼 As for this track...I have nothing to say save...I am FED UP...

Precap- I am telling you...we are heading towards a different love story...jodha-ruqaiya (JoRu)...ruk has been showing some unshakable faith in jodha...she was certain that jodha can not kill her unborn child...now, the precap...jodha is also all sweet and sugar with ruk...so, yeah...we will witness an epic love story with a twist...aunty, I know your distaste for songs with nonsense lyrics...but, JoRu are going 'tera pyar hukka bar' way...

First 👏👏

You seem quiet exasperated with the Bharmal-Jalal talk where Bharmal took full advantage of his age and his relation to give an earful to the Shahanshah 😉... Jodha has said it, Jalu's minister has done it, Ruku does it all the time - so why would Bharmal miss all the fun?😆

As far as EK's characters are concerned in JA, we better not expect the creatives to make the thought pattern of the characters to be of 16th century era. The dialogue, behavior, ideology, thought patterns of almost all the characters are very much contemporary. I hope you get what I mean ⭐️

In yesterday's scene too, EK has not shown how a Emperor of 16th century, no matter how humble and gentle he is, would behave with his FIL because you have rightly pointed out that the Emperor would have definitely retaliated in some way.

Instead EK has shown how a SIL should behave in front of FIL. 😉

It has been declared in the very beginning that the conversation would be between SIL and FIL and won't be a emperor meeting his king.

So Jalal kept his mouth shut and did rightly so because - a) Bharmal was elder to him in age and in relation and as per our custom, it is not right to argue with elders when they are giving advice b) Jalal understood that Bharmal is giving the lecture with good intention.😃👍🏼

DILs are always expected to be respectful towards in-laws, listen to their advices, give importance to their wishes, and most importantly not to argue with them in the slightest pretext. Similarly, EK has shown how SILs should behave when they have to hear the lecture from his sasur. 😎

Actually Bharmal did have a point - the Emperor had made one grievous error by declaring the punishment of the Ameri clan without even giving them one chance to prove their innocence. 👎🏼

Had not HB intervened, Maynavati would have been performing shraddh of her husband and children by this time.

I am going slightly off-topic here.
If we look at the whole scenario, then there was such concrete proof against the Ameris that Jalal had to take some action and giving 10 days to the Ameri people to collect proof was not any solution because they were under nazarband.

How could they have collected proof when they can't move anywhere. Asking their soldiers or ministers who came with them ( i assume the royal family of Amer come with their own set of inmates and soliders) was not a practical solution either.

The only thing they could have done but didn't do is to argue with the emperor in the court like a shrewd defence lawyer.🤢

They had to question the emperor about their motive, had to remind Jalal that he himself gave the kesar to Ruku and there are too many question marks which need to be resolved. All these questions could have raised doubt's in Jalal's mind. Perhaps they expected the lawyer to turn up and hence stood like wooden trees in the court. 😕😡

Coming back to yesterday's episode, like sun29 I am still scratching my head about Jodha's intelligence. Sach mein, iss dumbness ka kya nam doo? 😲

Thank you, Mythili.

Bharmal was insufferable, and so was Jalal in how far he put up with it. Do see my response on Mansi's thread on this chapter,

For God's sake, what's going on?at

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/92307101
It is very vehement, but you will find it interesting. It touches on the Jalal-Badiammi angle and a lot more, mostly about Bharmal, where I share your views in toto.

I do not think he was against his mother being close to Jodha at the stage when he himself was softening towards her, after the poem, in particular. Now it is a bit different, but then again, Jalal does not care much for his mother anyway.

Shyamala Aunty

Amazing analysis aunty..
Even I was surprised when jodha tld she has to get more evidence b4 accusing MA .. I liked the way she comforted rahim too.. but I dnt kw y suddenly she had confronted MA .. I really did nt kw what evidence she wud hav got by this.. nw MA will b more alert n jodha is going to get it from jalal.. bt precap looks interesting.. ruqs knows the real face of MA so I think she ll also try to find out the truth..bt I dnt kw when is it going to happen..
MA never forgets to reming jalal that she had given him milk n brought him up.. she sort of uses this to emotionally black mail him always and he falls fr tat..
About bharmal I felt he was pretty rude .. telling an emperor vivek heen and all was pretty too much.. bt jalal was very humble and did show anger .. bharmal's advice to jalal just went above my head.. wat does he mean by all that I did nt understand a bit..I hope atleast jalal has understood wat he meant..
It was clearly visible that jalal did nt like the conversation bet bharmal and hameeda .. bt I did nt understand y he doesnt like the closeness bet jodha n hameeda?

Wonderful post Aunty..👍🏼

I really don't understand why Jodha doesn't sympathize with Jalal.. I expected hr to say I can't believe that a mother could do this to her own son/how could Maham do this to someone who holds her above anyone etc.

One thing I noticed was Jodha did not say a word infront of Jalal.. I wonder if she'll say: Hum to Maham ko kesar mein gulaab kar ark milana sikha rahe the.. jisse inki sehat bani rahe.. lekin yeh bura maan gayine 😆

Is she doing this to test the Maham~Jalal bond?

Amazing analysis aunty.. 😊.. but noticed you did a late night post?? 😲.. how are you health wise??
Now coming to the episode..I was soo impressed with Jodha.. only to be disappointed in her.. 😆... She was shown soo smart in the first scene.. then why did she do the exact opposite in scene 3?? ..Having said that the interrogation was really good ... this would have been perfect .. if Jodha had told Jalal everything with proof and he has come to realise it.. and then Jodha takes MA to Jalal.. Here it was the exact opposite..
One thing I noticed...Jalal's reaction, for few seconds, when he thinks that MA is the real culprit.. he just couldn't believe it... he looked soo pained..
