Jalal could not forget Jodha's free spirit that he had witnessed on the rainy night. Her beautiful face, hair, voice kept him awake at nights. He failed to understand why she affected him so much. He wanted to meet Jodha often so that he could understand why he felt differently about her. But, Jodha made sure that they would not cross paths. He did not see her do the tulsi pooja, neither at the darbar or any other place for that matter. It almost seemed to him that she was trying to hide from him. He had no pretext to go and see her. His ego stopped him from paying a visit to her without any reasons.
Hamida could sense the restless in Jalal and she knew Jodha hated his son. She wanted to make amends for them but did not know what she could do either.
Jodha on the other hand kept a very low key presense in harem, avoided interactiosn with anyone and spent hours next to Kanha. She did not want to Shenshah and hence stopped going to the darbars. She did the tulsi pooja way early in the morning so that she could avoid Jalal. Soon she was very lonely and depressed. Hamida paid a visit to Jodha as she had not seen her in many days.
Hamida: Jodha kaisi ho hamari bacchi
Jodha: Praname ammi jaan, hum kushal hai aur aapki kushalta ki kaamna karte hai. Aap ne aane ka kashth kyon kiya, hume bula liya hota
Hamida: Ek maa ko apne bache se milna tha, so aa gaye. Kitne dino se tumhara deedar nahin hua, aap darbar mein bhi nahin aati hai
Jodha: Bas aisi hi, hamara man nahin karta
Hamida: Aap Amer mein samay kaisa bitati thi, hum aapki koi madad kar sakte hai aap ka dil behalane mein
Jodha: aisi koi baat nahin, hum theek hai
Hamida: Apni ammi se bhi nahin kahogi tumhe kya karna pasand hai
Jodha: Hum har subah ghud sawari karte the, phir talwaar riyaz, pooja wagarh. Hume ekdum tez ghud sawari bahut achi lagti hai. Amer mein hamara ghoda that, safed rang, bahut hi sundar. Kaash hum use yahan le aate..
Hamida: Jodha tum yahan par bhi ghud sawari kar sakti ho. Aaj shaam ko 4 baje hume kile ke peeche bageche me milo. Hum tumhare liye ghode ka intazam karege
Jodha: Aap taklif na uthaye, aur kya pata shenshah is se bhi naraj ho jaye. Hum apna samay kanha ki sewa mein bita dege
Hamida: Apni ammi ki agya nahin maanogi?
Jodha: Thik hai ammi jaan hum aap ko shaam ko bageeche mein milege
Chapter 2:
Jodha was little excited that day, just in anticipation of the horse ride. That's one thing that she enjoyed deeply. She got ready in her talwaar baaji white costume. Meanwhile Hamida went to see Jalal. She saw him lost in thoughts with a frown on his face. She knew Jalal has been restless since he falsely accused Jodha and her brothers. Hamida decided that she had to make these two move forward as she knew Jodha was the only one who could bring back Jalal's lost heart.
Jalal: Aap kaisi hai ammi jaan?
Hamida: Hum thik hai, aap se kuch baat karna chahte hai
Jalal: Kahiye ammi jaan
Hamida: Hume tumhari aur Jodha ki kafi chinta hai
Jalal immediately becomes very attentive as he hears Jodha's name
Jalal: Hum bilkul thik hai, Jodha begum ko kya hua?
Hamida: Hume lagta hai woh bahut akele rahti hai, kisi se baat nahin karti. Hum unse aaj mile to pata chala ki unhe ghud sawari ka bahut shauk hai aur woh bhi tej ghud sawari ka. Unka amer mein ek manpasand safed ghoda tha. Woh har roj subah us pe sawar hoti thi. Hum chahte hai ki aaj tum unhe ghud sawari pe le jao.
Jalal (in deep thought with a smile on his face): Jodha begum ghud sawari bhi janti hai aur who bhi tezz
Hamida: Haan, hum bas chahte hai kisi tarah unka man behal jaye aur woh khush rahe
Jalal: Aap ko itni kyon pasand hai woh, kabhi hamari kisi aur begum ke liye aapko chinta karte nahin dekha
Hamida: Kisi aur begum ko hamari jaroorat nahin hai, woh apne mein hi mashroof hai. Par Jodha sabse alag hai, unke jaise sache dil ki ladki humne aaj tak nahin dekhi
Jalal (smiles more): Aap agar yeh hi chahti hai to hume koi harz nahin, hume bhi ghud sawari ka shauk
Hamida: tumne hamara dil khush kar diya jalal. Aap shaam ko Jodha ko kile ke peeche bageeche mein miliyega
Hamida leaves and Jalal is thinking dekhte hai Amer ki shehjadi kitni tez ghud sawari karti hai. He instructs his servants to get two horses ready, one black for himself and another white one for Jodha. He was also getting very excited to see Jodha after a long time and spend sometime with her. Although he would never acknowlege it.
Jodha could see two horses tied to a tree as she was approaching the garden. She couldn't contain her excitement and started running towards the horses. Soon enough she noticed there was someone watching her. She knew it was Jalal and she stopped midway. Jalal walked towards her and they have an eyelock.
Jalal: Ammi jaan ne bataya ki aako ghud sawari ka shauk hai, isliye hum do ghode le aaye. Dekhna chahega ki kya aap ki sawari bhi utni hi tez hai jitni aap ki talwar baaji
Jodha turns around to leave from there, just in time Jalal catches her hand. She tries to free herself but Jalal only increases the hold on her.
Jalal (angry face): Har baar berukhi, badtameezi. Kya aapko baar baar yaad dilane padega ki shaenshah aur apne shauhar ki tauhin nahin karte
Jodha: Hume nahin pata tha ki hume aapke saath jana hoga. Hum iske liye kabhi tayaar nahin hote. Hamara haath chodiye aur hume jane dijiye
Hamida watched them from far and knew they were fighting. She started walking towards them as she knew Jodha would not agree to this. Jalal sees hamida and Jodha pulls her hand away.
Hamida: Jodha hum nahin chahte the ki aap akele jaye. Isi liye humne Jalal ko bheja. Umeed karte hai ki aap jayegi aur khuli hawa ka maja legi.
Jodha: Ji ammijaan, hum sawari ke liye tayaar hai
Hamida is very happy and Jalal is surprised at Jodha's respect for her ammijaan. He smirks and gives a mischievous look to Jodha
Precap: Jodha lost in Jungle, will Jalal be able to find Jodha?? Will they have their first hug?
