DISCLAIMER - NOT AN WU...only an analysis of Jalal scenes..and AKDHA scenes😳our lovely coolbies will do us the honour shortly!

We start off from where we left yesterday
JALAL-JODHA
'I repeatedly stated the fact that I'm innocent...' she reminds him tearfully 'That I did not commit any crime..but you did not listen to me even once...a lady's honour and self-respect holds no importance to you'
Jalal controls his temper with great difficulty as Jodha continues spewing hatred 'Today Ruqaiyya Begum pointed her finger at someone else...if evidences don't add up, then you'll move on to someone else..then the third..the fourth..after all even justice is child's play to you'
[I can totally empathize with Jodha's anger owing to her humiliation and her need for revenge - however I found myself unable to accept the tone with which she was addressing Jalal today. I am all FOR fiery heroines and hate doormats, but CVs mustn't forget that Jodha is not a 21st century wife...]

'Yes I lied that I committed this murder...' she elaborates with rage 'So that this cruel play of yours comes to an end...even if my head is chopped off as a result of your puffed-up ego, at least remaining innocent people shall escape punishment...'
While he is stunned by her prolonged censure of him, she is unstoppable 'I agreed to take this blame upon myself because punishment by death is better than the punishment of being wedded to you'
She grits her teeth 'I hate you so much, that I prefer death...So I lied' [Woah!😲] 'I feel like cursing you, but my culture and tradition does not permit a wife to do so...hence, I chose this path of redemption...from you, from your terrorism, from this drama'
Jalal is infuriated and appalled by Jodha's words but continues to remain silent. She starts breaking down 'Its better to die once rather than suffocate every moment of your life...b...but, Ruqaiyya Begum did not even permit me this right...' she folds her hands and shouts at him 'I pray, please leave from here...please leave from here'
And the offended king turns around and leaves - not a word uttered in protest!

[Whatever the humiliation/wrong done against her, I doubt a queen would have been able to speak back to an Emperor in this fashion. She could have spoken bitterly, but without the direct 'in-your-face I-hate-you' retorts me thinks! I don't mind this kind of curse/criticism coming from her before their marriage...but now he is her husband and all this seems a bit today instead of yesteryears...I know I'm going to receive plenty of criticism for this...but had to pen my thoughts down anyway]

RUQ-JALAL
Ruqaiyya and Jalal again go through the same 'Why did you wed Jodha if you hated her?' routine.
Ruqaiyya advices Jalal to send Jodha back to Amer. However, she does have a point when she says 'Jodha has no motive to commit crime..she doesn't yearn for power... for status... for wealth...why, she does not even have any interest in you'
Needless to say, this statement offends Jalal the most😆!
Thankfully, the topic of discussion then shifts to Salima and the dibbi!

JALAL-MINISTER
Thankfully, the CVs have shown Jalal spending some time by himself in his room - musing through the events that had transpired in the past few days. Eventually, he cannot seem to believe that Salima would do such a thing to him
'Hopefully, I am not going to commit another mistake again!' he thinks to himself (Finally!)

He calls upon a minister to discuss the issue with him and seek his advise
[This has to be the scene of the day - since we get to see an expression of Jalal that we haven't seen in a very long time - that of uncertainty - that of guilt!]
Once Jalal confides in him, the minister says 'If there are evidences to prove that Begum Jodha is innocent then you must set her and brothers free at once'
'I don't want to be unjust...so tell me what should I do' Jalal enquires with concern. The emperor even permits the man to speak up fearlessly - here is where we get to see glimpses of Jalal 'the great' rather than Jalal 'the arrogant'
'Forgive me Shehenshah...but if an innocent has been locked up all these days, injustice has already been committed!' the minister concludes
[DIALOGUE OF THE DAY has to go to this...(no wonder - Jalal your ministers are better suited for court affairs not wars!LOL)]
Jalal runs through the very same issues that were troubling him about Salima and receives very very wise council in turn from the man
'Don't charge ahead without knowing for sure that this new culprit is also guilty...who knows, he/she might be proved innocent tomorrow...it does not bode well upon an Emperor or his kingdom for him to commit the same mistakes over and over again'
Accepting his shortcomings in the recent past, a touched Jalal heartily thanks the man for his words - and so do we!
Beautiful scene this was - much needed one and very sensibly shot too!

10 DAYS HAVE GONE BY! HURRAH!

COURT
What makes this court scene so poignant is that Jalal starts off by wholeheartedly thanking his Ammijaan and the ministers who'd guided him well in the last 10 days - in their bid to keep up justice! Ruqaiyya was in agreement too! 😊 [Why is MA missing though🤔 we learn later she was busy with Javeeda😆]
He begins his announcement - worry lines marking his brows as he does so 'The Ameris couldn't prove their innocence in these 10 days...but, I've got hold of evidence that supports their innocence...hopefully, it should lead me to the culprit too!'
He also relieves the defendants of all the accusations with the usual 'Ba-izzat bari'!

Jodha has a defiant expression, Ruqaiyya is pretty pleased and needless to say Ammijaan is once again elated [once again hopeful for her grandchild from Jodha!]
Jalal proceeds to praise the Ameri brothers, honours them for their dedication during the war, and returns all of their respect to them.
What was beautiful was when Jalal converses with Maan Singh and then addresses the boy 'Now, can you please resume your position - BESIDE ME'
Maan is happy and so are his family!
'You can return to your Royal chambers now' he ultimately addresses Jodha - while torment still clouded his face!

JAVEEDA-MA
And how many thumbs up for Javeeda today 😆- someone who's innocently capable of getting on MA' nerves - with no repercussions whatsoever!
'Jodha and I are equally intelligent are we not?' a wishful MA asks her naive daughter-in-law
'No way' she replies with a childish smile 'You are capable of trapping people, while... poor Jodha is trapped herself here' 😆

JODHA-HB
I didn't know whether to be impressed with the Jodha-HB bonding or not - it does strike me as odd that Jodha would complain about the Emperor to her mother-in-law so dauntlessly - and that HB would accept Jodha's gripes against her son so willingly! A bit filmy - par chalega!

JALAL-SALIMA
A torn Jalal recollects his memories with Salima and Rahim as he walks to her chamber - not knowing what to believe!
And for the rest of the scene - I know he's doing so to get to know her intentions and after all Salima was Akbar's proper wife...but I can imagine a lot of 'grrr' posts about this scene...😆

Nice post lashy!!! I agree, in 16th century a woman would not and could not speak to her husband like that ...but, I will be lying if I say I didn't relish...I was fed up with her silence...finally...'the lioness roared...and what a roar...'

The 'thinking jalal' is back...thank god!!! the potly minister was bang on!! Jalal impressed me during that scene...he is fine with others...he loses it when it comes to Jodha...The court scene was good...I like his equation with Maan Singh...

I hope Salima begum is proven innocent ASAP...

I agree with you.. there was no need for her to talk about her ghrina and her hayye. She was accusing him of marrying her..! She let out her emotions, fine.. I liked that but I think she went way too far..
'Yes I lied that I committed this murder...' she elaborates with rage 'So that this cruel play of yours comes to an end...even if my head is chopped off as a result of your puffed-up ego, at least remaining innocent people shall escape punishment...'

Needless to say, this statement offends Jalal the most😆!
Thankfully, the topic of discussion then shifts to Salima and the dibbi!
Rukayya has been controlling Jalal.. from giving jodha 10 days to Salima.. to pushing Jalal to bangle todu scene.. to making jalal ask jodha to sing in public..

Now that he knows jodha is not behind this.. he can control his emotions and use his brain.. I think Jodha's words must have got to him 'you'll punish another innocent after this!'

What was beautiful was when Jalal converses with Maan Singh and then addresses the boy 'Now, can you please resume your position - BESIDE ME' I loved this scene!! Want Jalal~Maan bonding!
Maan is happy and so are his family!
'You can return to your Royal chambers now' he ultimately addresses Jodha - while torment still clouded his face! He must be slightly scared.. what if she gets angry and starts lecturing me again 😆

JAVEEDA-MA
And how many thumbs up for Javeeda today 😆- someone who's innocently capable of getting on MA' nerves - with no repercussions whatsoever!
'Jodha and I are equally intelligent are we not?' a wishful MA asks her naive daughter-in-law
'No way' she replies with a childish smile 'You are capable of trapping people, while... poor Jodha is trapped herself here' 😆 She is the kind of innocent soul who does see people for who they are.. she definitely knows what maham is made of!!

Why does Hamida say that its because of his upbringing? she could have in some way defended him.. she has never been there for him.. When he was breaking down and crying.. it was only Maham who held him together..!! It's also an indirect insult to Maham.. which does not suit her. She could have said that he was blinded by the pain in his heart and he doesn't know how to ease the pain.. hence the lashing out..!

JALAL-SALIMA
A torn Jalal recollects his memories with Salima and Rahim as he walks to her chamber - not knowing what to believe!
And for the rest of the scene - I know he's doing so to get to know her intentions and after all Salima was Akbar's proper wife...but I can imagine a lot of 'grrr' posts about this scene...😆 God knows what Jalal is upto!! Let's see if the culprit is caught by Friday..!! I wonder what Jodha will do when she finds out Salima is under suspicion!

Awesome post di.. Was looking for it!👏

I SO TOTALLY wanted Jodha to give it back to him...but in the sharp cutting manner she gives it back to Ruqaiyya and MA...with a bit of emotion invested of course...the CVs should be a little careful with the words their characters use since its historical...
Anyway, that minister-meeting with Jalal did him good...he's thinking now which must be a relief for many...

and AK I just checked maan's photo...HE SO DOES look like him......a younger version of MY AD...

JALAL-JODHA

i liked it till yesterday's episode but today it reminded me of every Ekta kapoor righteous soap leading ladies be it Prerna / Tulsi / Priya ..etc 🥱

Her tone was way too rude, harsh, demanding and too straight forward for a 16th century rajput / wife to say! There is no way, any Emperor would keep quite even though every word she uttered was true!

I wished the CVs would have toned down the dialogues to suit the character. She was dumb through the 9 days, not once did she say it out loud to Jalal she was innocent or did not commit the crime. I am surprised when she started off saying " i have stated my innocence many things..." i was "😲" when did she say...or did i miss that. The only time i recollect her denying this grave crime was when Jalal confronted in the middle of the night after knowing 'the truth" from Khwaja Shera!!

Even her folding of hands and asking him to leave her was so typical EK soap! How can any begum dare to ask the emperor who is even her husband to leave his own built palace??!!!

What's irritating is, Jodha kept mum through last week only to explode today??? CVs need to be careful ...😡

RUQ-JALAL

Ruqaiya deep down feels a threat even though she is not conscious of it. She doesn't like Ja's fixation over Jo! He has done many extreme things for Jo which otherwise he would not have done for anyone! Thus, the question...why did you marry JODAH!!
This doesn't help her in anyway instead makes Ja more and more intrigued by Jo! ...she doesn't desire power...wealth ...position ...not even YOU!!!...🤣 any egoistic male will be driven by the last word! 😆

JALAL-MINISTER

finally finally...a truly wise advisor for Ja...his questions reminded me of my director, she always likes to check on rather not so complicated matter before she makes decision! 😆
When you are on a high position you have lot of responsibilities...as spiderman says with great power comes great responsibility... now imagine how much burden will be on Shehenshah E Hind!

Ja knows he has screwed up big time...Jo maked it LOUD and CLEAR 😆...hence he wants 'advice' on how to handle the situation in court tomorrow and how to go about finding the real culprit!!

👏👏👏 the Wazir had the guts and the sense to say the bitter -truth facts to the Emperor..he put across his thoughts in such a manner -> it hit the bull's eye!!😛

COURT

Again a brilliant scene, good screen play, direction and performance by all!

Ja was at best Shehenshah mode, every thing was conducted in a official manner. He had the courage to thank his mom and Rukku for preventing him from doing an unforgivable crime...sentencing innocent people for a crime they didn't do! Accepting one's mistake and owning up to it in front of the whole court is a big thing esp for a pride - egoistic filled Jalal...but he did it!👏
He not only freed Amer gang but also recognized - honoured BD!!! I loved it when he requested Maan Singh to take back his position and sit beside him!👍🏼

Jo was fuming under her veil and Ja just let her go free with adding anything further with regards to her! (Ja still in shock 😳)

JAVEEDA-MA
wow! Javeeda is the prefect bahu for MA!! She in naiveness makes MA pay for every wrong deed she does to others! I was laughing non stop seeing MA controlling her anger and trying to be 'nice' to her DIL!😆

MA could not handle praise for Jo from her DIL...😆 she had to know who is the most intelligent among the two...and Javeeda gave the correct answer!😉

i want more of Javeeda, she is the only comic relief in this show and i love seeing MA's helpless expressions! 😃

JODHA-HB
it was nice to see Moti after a long time, unfortunately she is wearing the same orange - red outfit!
DIL - MIL conversation was a bit too sweet for my liking! I get it Hameeda is a very loving, caring mom but cumon!! which mother will tolerate let alone agree with her new DIL complaining about her only son every time!😕
JALAL-SALIMA
OMG!!!😲 what exactly is going on in Ja's mind!!! how is getting intimate with Salima going to help him know about her involvement / connection with the dibbi??🤔
i felt so bad for her...her expressions when Ja says i will spend the night with you!!😲...i wanted to throw my chappal at Ja??!!!😡 how could he possibly say this to her...when he married her only to secure and protect her from MA????? grrrh!😵 😡

thanks Lashy - your topics are my fav!🤗
