his reactions and actions regarding jodha are always extreme...he hates the fact that he is obsessed with her and hence he wants to prove to himself she is his enemy and nothing else...he is impulsive and hot headed...the decision to swing the sword was not that of the Emperor or the father but the man who was betrayed and made fool of ...he let his emotional guard down and a mere woman fooled him ...jalal would never accept that ..hence his extreme reaction..

jalal most certainly does not love jodha at present..the seeds of affection just got sowed on the poetry wala day and it got destroyed too that same day...besides why are people surprised ...hav e we not seen people n love to commit murder of their lovers...crime of passion...in that moment of utmost anger nothing makes sense..no one makes sense...he is the jallad we saw in the first week of the show...it is pride and arrogance that rides him...what he feels for jodha is a extreme obsession ,fixation and he is unable to get ridd of it or even make sense out of it...his emotional turmoil got the better out of him...

the strategy in the war scene was really ridiculous no arguments on that and the hamaam scene even i feel it was bad editing ...the flashbacks and the smirk made no sense together

about salima ,hopefully he will use his brains this time ...and he should coz she is not jodha hence she is entitled to reasons and stable emotions lol...

Okay if he was blinded by his reactions to Jodha, let's hope his reactions to Salima are different. If they are the same as before then I cannot but conclude that is blinded by any and every action to produce the same reaction!

Beautifully put forth Sun...absolutely breathtaking analysis here...many courtiers and kinsmen false-fed their emperors sky-high praises and gifts in order to be in their good books - now, I don't know if this really helped kings in personal development though!
You know what Mansi..I think all of us - especially Indian TV - has always portrayed 'adarsh' heroes on screen and we've become pre-conditioned to watching depictions of larger-than-life ideal kings, ideal freedom-fighters, ideal cops etc! Why, even the movie JA did the same!

This serial has depicted him closer to reality me thinks...which serial do you recollect where we got to watch THE MAIN LEAD as an ill-tempered cruel-ish emperor with many wives? Maybe this serial is about a king of great achievements with a not-so-great personality! 🤔

i have hopes he will not be blinded by the stupid evidence and ruqaiyya ka anti rants about salima...he will use his brain (plzz babaji😆) or else he may spend every night trying out the 300 odd woman in harem with that dibbi and seduction 😆..the ladies will be eternally grateful to the killer and ruqaiyya may bang her head 😆

I agree with you totally that we must not expect cardboard cutout heroes or the "adarsh" types. But I would expect some consistency in the characterisation, even in a negative hero, for instance. That's just my personal feeling that Jalal's characterisation is not being monitored in this serial with as much attention to detail as it should.
I do not disagree with your views on what sort of a person Jalal was historically and whether in general serial heroes are of one sort or another. I am merely saying that in this particular story that we are watching, the characeterisation of Jalal should be done with more carefulness and consciousness than is being shown at present.

LOL..i remember saying...the war will look fakish and silly...nd thats exaclty wht happened...As it is the rajputs luk so dull that to highlight them they hv to bring down Jalal!

Regarding Jalal raising the sword on Jodha...i again dont feel it was so OTT that bought down Jalals character. Its Jalal...a cruel emperor...he dint see Jodha in front of him..all he saw was the criminal who accepted teh crime. copy pasting my reply in another post -

In their present scenario Jodha feels nothing for Jalal and Jalal definitely cares more for his murdered to-be-born child than Jodha. He might be mesmerized with her, but we cant expect him having eyelocks with her when she has stated that she killed the child. He pulled the sword on her as an action to the punishment any person who would come forward and claim to hv done the act.

coming to Jalals expression while taking bath...well he was just impressed by the bravery and loyalty...Definitely he dint expect that...but he needed more time with the girls pouring water on him to reach the point where he could strt thinking over Amer people not plotting his childs murder...which was sadly interrupted by Jodha!

Salima action reaction yet to happen...nd i dont wanna think much on it...after all jo hum sochte hai..EKTA bilkul nahi sochti!

Jalas apology wont be grand eventhough i want it to be..he will probably just declare the amerians not guilty with respect which will be considered as a let go..Though i feel he surely will hv a talk wiht Jodha...BUT how long is all this gonna be dragged is wht will test our patience!

No way are u over thinking...but yes...we cant watch this show keeping our expectations high on teh characters being loyal and up-to the mark...we will face disappointment in one episode and will be satisfied with other...EKTA SPECIAL...!

as that prediction baba had predicted in the initial episodes jalal has to fall and fall and fall only then will he rise...so cvs are making him fall and fall and fall so that they can make this love story all the more extreme and appealing...the highlight will be and is how will jodha ever love a man like him and this is exactly what they plan to show us ...jalal will one day wonder how did jodha ever fall in love with a man like me

like lashy said once they are in love we are going to sit back and recollect all these hate filled days which laid the foundation and destiny which ensured it happened...

Well mansi , mansi mansi ...

If all things were perfect ... ( best left unsaid)

Iam sure tht even the C.V's realize tht the war scenes were not aptly directed n shot ... what they did was just show jalal have one o one fights with his swords n since the amerwalas play dandiya .. this time they tricked us with showing them with bows n arrows ... but i feel they should have invested in this war sequence or probably shown jalal not knowing about the chapammaar style of fight the sujanpurwalals were going to use , it would have made sense ...

With jalal knowing the plan n scheming the battle , when no soldiers turned up was humorous n a face-fall for the show , every one agrees with this ... I think C.V's are more consumed than us by this track...

As far as the last tub scene goes EVEN I FELT THE SAME ... I COULD NOT GUESS WAT JALAL WAS THINKING... were they the fond memories n if yes why was tht grin showing off on his face ???
I thought by now shyamala aunty would have figured it out so i jumped onto IF first thing fter waking up today ... n i find company here ... so welcome to the gang ...

The last but not the least , salima case remains to be seen , infact today is the TRP day tht is why tht raunchy precap was shown... for sure ... bt wat makes today's episode worth watching is the fact how will jalal react to jodha ... would he even understand tht she is complaining to a husband ? I want to his reaction n action , and yes a self driven action as u mentioned to wat jodha informed him about yesterday ...

As for your first few questions on the war, I have NOTHING to answer for it NOR defend it - the scenes were abysmally directed and personally, I feel they depicted Jalal, his courtiers, his army, the Sujanpuris - EVERYONE weak and silly!

Some are defending the Mughal army stating that they were not yet ready...I read Shyamala aunty's reply somewhere that stated 'Did they need breakfast in bed to get ready?'
There are 24 hour soldiers stationed FOR A REASON...and these soldiers guard not only the emperor but all of his important aides 😕

Similar is your observation on the wry smile in his bathtub - I didn't understand the significance of it. I've come the conclusion that it is a not-very-well directed continuation of his dialogue to his AmmiJaan - 'That the wounds on a warrior are a token of his victory at the battlefield' He was relishing his wounds - if you know what I mean! LOL

As for Jalal swinging his sword on Jodha, hmmm...but, what else did you expect dear?😊

He is not emotionally invested in Jodha for certain and they've shown him to be very emotionally invested in what was his child-to-be
He thinks he HATES her...and tries acting thus!
He is obsessed about trying NOT to be obsessed about her - thus, any reaction by her incites an extreme reaction
She stormed in there deliberately (knowing what pushes his buttons) and incited him so that he would raise his sword upon her
He is the emperor (this is 16th century autocracy) and technically he owes a culprit (even a royal) no explanation - especially one who's just confessed to royal treason!
I read somewhere that Jalal was always known to be impulsive...he mellowed down in his later years!
(Alakh please help me out here - apparently I read that, Jalal didn't trust his own temper and in his later years made a decree that trials would be tried thrice in front of him - just in case he acted brashly!)

I don't know about the three trials..

But from what I have read of him, he did seem quick tempered.. Especially in Akbar Birbal stories.. Have you heard about the birbal ki khicdi waali story? Jalal saw no reasoning or logic when he was angry.. only birbal could make him see any logic..Even in Mughal-e-azam.. His eyes turn read after pyar ki to darna kya performance.. I even feel hat the chitor siege was somewhat because of his temper..Plus when it comes to Jodha.. he CANNOT think.. they both drive each other up the wall.. Look at Rukayya.. she tactfully handles the situation, because she knows him.

The war scenes were mostly terrible (we already expected that, didn't we?). The gaurds were all killed stealthy.. What I found ridiculous was Bhagwant fetching water in the middle of the battlefield.. he should have been fighting.. anyone would have killed him..

good questions even i am annoyed about some scenes the cvs shouldn't show such bloopers akbar jodha are the strongest & main characaters of the show they always keep this in mind making one character strong doesn't need cutting down the other character
now i want this royal murder mystery to end this week

Yes, I know, its Ekta Special! I just thought that this time because its a story based from history she would do less high-jinks! let's see what unfolds. At this time, I am worried by what I have seen so far but as all of you are still keeping your hopes up, I will also do that!😊
