Yes, that perhaps, for the reason you have mentioned,. with a fall guy up front - they say it would be Hoshiyar.

If it is Hoshiyar then dont you think he is doing this on Ruku's instructions...They are showing very closeness between these two...So it is going to be breakup time...

You are really very kind, and I am glad that you enjoy my long dissertations on Jodha Akbar. Yes, it is all getting to be over the top and hysterical, especially from Jalal right now, and I too feel that it is far too harsh all round. I do not know how they are going to make the eventual love story seem natural. It was far gentler and more credible in the film. Let us see what they do now to extricate Jodha from her cul de sac.

Completely agree...should be interesting to see how they complete the turn around...this will really show whether this show is above others or if its just "another" tv show...I'm relying on everything previous in this show to come out on top and that they rectify this crazy Jalal that has taken over the screen space...

On a side note...what did you think about his mother today? I liked what she said but I also felt as if she hasn't really been there for him for emotional support. It would have been nice for her to say that she understands what he is going through...and soemthing about his father when he got the news of her conceiving Jalal...I thought that would have been a nice touch, to see her being an amazing Mother in law to Jodha...and then using this moment in time to try to build the gap between her and Jalal and be a Mother to him as well...

i m hating ekta. She is making Jodha's character weak and Jalal's character cruel and (sorry in advance) look more and more pig-headed

Really loved to hear your thoughts on the episode and I agree with you on so many points especially about how much depth there is to MA's character and how I thought she would be the first one to plot something like this because she hates Ruquaiya but the way she showed her care and affection for Jalal was truly remarkable and I also concur that yes now Jodha has a very big reason to loathe him even more because now it's not just her that's involved but also her family and I don't think she'll forgive him easily for humiliating her family, so we definitely took probably 100 steps back in their growing fondness to each other mainly with Jodha because Jalal will be the same after this is solved but not Jodha.

Sonya,

You have hit on the nub of why Jalal is not close to his mother. She is just never there for him when she should be. Forget about that put down yesterday. Think of when he was waiting fearfully outside Ruqaiya's room for news, and remember how Mahaam holds him and consoles him.

To be able to influence even a child, you have to feel for the child and with him. Our erstwhile Begum Saridon is a 2 dimensional goody goody MIL of the kind beloved of soaps, that is all. She has no feel for anything beyond her limited ken. If she had, she would have hugged Jalal tight and cradled him in her arms when he was weeping and so distraught. Mahaam really feels for him and has always been there for him.

Do you wonder any more at why he prefers his Badiammi to his Ammijaan?

Thank you so much, Jai.

You know, the problem will be in reverse as well.Jalal will apologise and try to move on, but Jodha too, if she wants any kind of settled relationship with him, will have to understand where he was coming from and why he behaved the way he did, even if far too harshly.

She has to move beyond Amer and her family. So far, she is still stuck there. If you read my next, do see my reply there to Rose. It would interest you,

That is true, I'm eager to see it will shape out when she's proved innocent and he's apologizing to her and yes I have definitely read your next post and really enjoyed but I have not seen your reply to Rose and I'm now I'm going to do just that.
