Now that is a rare compliment, and it is duly appreciated. I write, firstly, because I enjoy this new hobby, and then for those like you who enjoy my writing as I do when it turns out just right. I never know how it will pan out when I start, so I am always appreciative of and grateful for the kind of reassurance you provided today.

Yes, I never have any problems about acknowledging when I have gone wrong, as in this case. I was afraid that there would an endless series of silly conflicts and no real maturing of the relationship; the aarti ki thali stuff is charming, but it gets them nowhere in real terms, and the edginess between then remains.

Yesterday, I was surprised at how imaginative the writers had been; they have at one go opened up this new window and let a fresh breeze blow thru. Things will never be the same again between them, for the trust factor has begun to take root, based on her genuine caring for his child and his recognition of it.

As for my not being a cynic, that too is a compliment. But after 38 years as a professional diplomat, a dose of healthy cynicism is vital. However, I am not of the hardboiled variety, in that I can recognise genuine goodness when I see it, and I value it as it should be valued.

As for your reverting to hibernation mode, we shall see what we shall see!😉

Hi. I hv been reading ur posts for a week now and after watching last night's episode , my first thought was , " now let's see shyamala B. cowsik literally do a double take on this".😆. Your first line of your post today had me gloating.

It's not that I don't post in IF , well maybe once in eons, but certain episodes or posts compel lazy bummers like me to break the hibernation mode . Your posts are a literary delight and u are anything but a cynic. I refuse to believe that.

Now back to sleep mode. .🥱

Thank you, Sumu, that is very sweet of you!

It was not clear why Mahaam was yelling at Adham, probably because he was blind drunk and insisting that the jashn was to celebrate his exploits in Mathura. She wants him to understand the danger he is in from Ruqaiya, who knows that it was he in the harem chasing after Motibai. She is a witch, but I do feel for her, saddled with this uncontrollable dolt of a son.

" A NEW HOPE" ,

Aptly titled , though it brings along the star wars memories too ... but i would definitely like to add , the episode brought out tht feel with in all of us ...

It was a really a balanced one . The one thing tht iam really impressed with is tht pace of the serial , there is something or else going on , its not like those saas-bahu types , where we can generally see how they waste the screen by repetitive looks , slow n long pauses , its like the breath of fresh air , something different for our taste buds.

Also, i would like to mention tht of lately , they have been giving really good background music , almost every scene has it n i like the variety ... The latest conversation tht jodha n jalal , had when i saw the promo wat caught my eye(read ears) was the background music ... EK is really put in some hard work n i would like to congratulate the team for the same.

The best part for me , was tht how creatively the C.v's brought out something positive within this pregnancy track , it was beyond my imagination .. n the gift actually was quite thoughtful. The way jodha portrayed those scene really made me wonder tht she is a true shehzaadi , a princess at heart . My opinion was tht the positive outcome would be the result of the end of this track n wow am i happy to be surprised .

Now , for one i am sure of the fact tht Ma would definitely frame jodha , but not worried as the last episode has rooted nothing but a sense of satisfaction about the noble jalal being on compassionate jodha's side . In fact this trust tht jalal might end up showing in jodha , would further further sow the same fruitful seeds in jodha's dil too.

And for you aunty , i loved your analysis when u quote Jane Austen , adored it when u referred to
Petruchio and Kate , admired it when u compared it to the cruelty of King Henry VIII ( my personal fav) , n amazed when u chose to compare your title to star wars 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

This is form me :- ( In your words)
A direct, candid n genuine thank you

Kashi

That is a lovely song, Suvi. From which film is it? No one uses such delicate lyrics any more; it is all frightful stuff like main garden garden ho gaya, from some terrible picture that I instantly decided to boycott!

On the exquisite Jodha-Jalal scene at the end, no amount of appreciation would be enough. But your take is almost adequate!

Thanks a ton, aunty...😊

Jalal's sleepless night reminded me of an old song 'yaad agar Woh aaye...aise kati tanhai...soone shehar mein jaise, bajne lagi shehnai'...my love for classics...

P.S.- I read you reply to @sun...you have correctly pointed out...when the 'old' ruk used to shower compliments he instantly used to ask what she wants??till now, all his relationships worked on barter system...even in the meena bazar scene...ruk capitalised on jalal's psyche of 'jalal wants, jalal takes'...

Thanks a lot for liking this post, Pallavi my dear.

As for the rest, I agree in toto with your comments, my dear. As for why Ruqaiya reacts the way she does to Jodha and her gift, do see my response to Mythili above and tell me if you agree with it.

Logically, after all that shindy about Moti, one would expect Adham Khan to avoid her like the plague, but he is so uncontrollable that one never knows and so she should, as you say, be careful.

Shyamala Aunty

i comletely agree with your take on Ruqaiyaa in mythili's post..I am really a fan now of your insightful thoughts..:-)

@ aunty and sumu- the song is ' shokhiyon mein ghola jaye phoolon ka shabab' from film prem pujari...

Correct aunty, one can't get enough of these classics...
