First of all, I found it pretty hilarious that the banjars were singing about jodha..😆 That song! OMG! Made me almost get a coronary! Aisa song meri liye koi gaaye toh I would be the one to demand their sarr faster than Jodha can say "Jalal ka sarr" or her mother can get hysterics 😆

Jalal forbade them to sing about her to someone else That possessiveness was just Wowww... Can't wait to see him get so possessive in front of her! (Only I get to hear about her!! Don't you dare sing about her to anyone else!!😈. She is mine). Even though Rajat did not get much screen space.. He was so good. Loved that scene with the Rajvanshi.

How did yet to be crowned Pratap insult Bhairamal and get away like that. I would have expected his sons atleast to say something.

The actor playing Pratap looked like he had mugged up all his dialogues and had to say it all in one go. He was like.. akkskdjndjjddndjj You will make me cry now! 🤣 I zoned out completely hearing that little speech he had prepared. He couldn't wait to get his words out!

Ruqayya is soon gonna be super pissed. Oh, that Jodha my sautan. Wonder what Maham Anga has been upto.

That preview with sujamal.. Playing daandiya with swords.. Koi inko train karo puhleezz.. 😆🤣 That Dandiyaa!! Hey bhagwan! How does the director let em get away with it! They look like kids playing at sword fighting 😆 One expects Dholi Taaro to start running in the BG during a fight scene.

I guess all the scenes we have been waiting for won't be aired until next week.

The current Raja' in that show I think has three wives, and they all don't use it. I think one of them (the youngest one) even walks around the palace without her head being covered? So is it really that odd for in this show JA, for jodha to not be using it either...it just doesn't seem to me like it would suit the role of our feisty powerful Jodha if she walked around with a ghoonghat like Aishwarya Rai did in the movie...

Ghoonghat ke andar ek camera fit karna padega.

Firstly, I would like to apologize if the bolded statement was offensive to you. It was never my intention to put down or belittle a religious practice, whatever my views on the matter are I definitely prefer to conduct a discussion on anything in a mature manner and not put anyone else down.

Second, I was referred to some internet links on what the word Purdah meant. I have NEVER heard of the term used in the reference it was used to as in yesterday's episode and it confused me. Until I looked it up I didn't even know that that was how this practice was referred to. So my ignorance of it definitely comes out when I speak about it because I am not educated on what the practice is, where it comes from and the history and tradition that comes with it.

Third, My question to you was in fact quite serious, not in any way meant to pick a fight. You have some very strong viewpoints which I do not agree with (just in the cumulative efforts of all the threads combined, not just this one) , but regardless I am keen and interested in having an open and frank discussion about this. I am alwasy open to learn from others and see where they come from, especially woman who are educated and from other cultures / backgrounds than mine, which essentially means everyone on this forum. 😃

I was wondering why you seem to find it okay for men in general to want to keep their woman from any other males eyes. What is it that seems to make it okay? Because as I said above, although the custom may have existed in the rajput culture for their woman to wear the veil or purdah, they don't show it that way in the historical drama of Maharana Pratap, so why is it so weird for Jodha to be free of this requirement. yes they are showing a period tv serial, but somethings can be changed to suit the present day follower.

Jalal's possessiveness I find far from acceptable. I don't care what day and age it is depicting , but just because it was okay back then doesn't make it acceptable. Beating ones wife was also acceptable back in the day...if they showed that on television would it be ok??? However, I also know that the drama of this show is jalal's possessiveness towards Jodha and I am watching this tv serial still...

I think that if Jodha had gotten married to Suryabhan he would have been fine for her to wear the clothing that she is currently shown wearing without covering her face. She wears the dupatta, but nothing that completely keeps her covered. When she went to his palace, they seemed very open and friendly and welcoming. Even jodha's sister in laws only wear an Odhni, nothing else covering their face...why after marriage does her life have to change that much where she has to conform to the practice of wearing the purdah which appears to me to be against what she is used to in her present day state of living.

We can also PM if you prefer, but I wanted to apologize personally for the above comment here just in case anyone else read it and was offended by it.

@ bold --- 0k ... purdah is very vast discussion... n very religious ...now .why I believe and why it seems for me okay for men in general to want to keep their woman from any other males eyes. What is it that seems to make it okay? ...
No..its not ok for me... but its the life style they followed... the harem was not like they showed some red l**t area... it was place where purda daar Mughal begmaat live not other than family member can come ... not now ...
@ purple...actually I want to ask CVs... what does their mean of purdah here... bec Ruqayya was freely doing shopping In market place... jalal himself called her in darbar... went on shikar with her... hamida banu and other harem ladies freely coe in court at time of departure... from which angle that ladies looking prisoner or not free...
@ green... never see MP..sorry...
@red... he is a shahnsha ...try ro understand his psychy...he is possesive that's why he didn't let MA to insult Jodah and for respectable families of old for me still its very unacceptable that people praise baparda aurat beauty in public...(here ba-parda means in the light of that era ...the females who didntnt go out alone or without cover their heads ...go out side in palanquin... ladies of respected families) so atleast for me its very acceptable if jalal doesn't want banjaras to sing jodha beauty praising song on streets...
and right now he is not in love with her so possessiveness looking wrong ...
@ blue... I am sure suryabhaan never like banjaras sing songs of jodha beauty on streets... and if jodha was roaming in bhanpur freely ... the mahals n plaaces r very big yaar ...they were walking in female part...aur Mughal palace me bhi sab ladies were also enjoying in park /open air... here CVs r actually confuse... first thet r not showing any strict purda in Mughal palace now this...dialogue...
.
now tell me you live in India ? even in today time, even in same religion/cast/custom.. when a bride goes to her susral she does changes in her life style what so fuss upon it ... jalal is doing rituals of hindu wedding what so fuss if she will adopt some life style of her susral...every girl do...and after some time she mingle with every one and some time in-laws also adopt the ways of her... but all these things take time... I m married same religion same cast but I adjusted lots of thing n now I do what I want n some of my susral some of my maika...but I took some time...
and in last... you said you didn't have wrong intention ...I am happy... n sorry too if I was harsh😊
