Part 2
"How dare you!" he said in a silent, but chilling tone. Jodha felt as if everything stopped moving for a moment as he turned around and muttered those words at her. All she could see was the fire in his eyes. All she could hear was her blood pounding in her head. Instinctively she took a step back, and then another but to no avail. He simply closed the distance in one stride and grabbed her arm effectively stopping her.
"You are my wife. My begum. And you dared to run away from me. What did you think I wouldn't find you? I would not find my wife. You are my possession. You belong to me. I don't let my possessions run away from me."
Jodha gulped and fought to find her way to the surface of the fear that had drowned her. She straightened her back, and recoiled away from him causing him to let go of her arm.
"I do not belong to you. I am not your possession. I'am not your wife." He slanted his face slightly and smirked at that.
"I did not marry you'not in our tradition anyways. And we don't accept Mughal marriages. You are not my husband."
He didn't say anything after that. He just looked at her for a full minute then dragged her away despite her screams and revolts and mounted her on his horse.
By the next day, Jodha found herself back at Amer in the mandap she had left behind in front of the agni kund.
Before she knew it he had filled her maang with sindoor.
"Ab toh tum kaide se sirf aur sirf humari hoon. Hum devta hai tumhare." Jodha didn't know she could feel angrier but at those words she did. All her dreams and hopes dashed. She had never imagined her husband would say such a thing to her. Well, she had never imagined her husband would be a Mughal'a Mughal she hated, the Jalad.
After the marriage she said her byes to her family members. Not a tear dropped from her eyes.
"I am sorry for running away like that father. I suppose I wasn't ready to accept my fate, but I finally have." She didn't want to implicate her mother, so she took all the blame on herself.
"I was very angry Jodha, but I can't be angry at your vidaii.

A few days later Jodha was in Agra. She had been welcomed with all the Rajputani traditions. Jodha had just been going through the motions. She hadn't really registered much, but she did notice that Hamida begum, her mother in law, was the only one kind at the palace. Everyone else seemed to look at her with disgust, anger, envy or a mixture of those feelings.
Hamida begum had brought Jodha to her part of the palace. Her room had been decorated for the suhagraat. Her mother in law had left her in the middle of the bed. She had just been waiting for Hamida begum to leave so that she could go through her bags and find the vial of poison she had brought from home. She would rather die than fell his hands on her, pawing her, looking at her as if she was his piece of meat.
"Ahhh," she had finally found it. She placed the vial on the dresser and starting carelessly throwing her jewelry off. She would be damned if he would see her waiting for him here adorned in the finest things money could buy. She changed out of her wedding clothes and put on simple everyday clothing. Then she wrapped her hands around the vial'holding onto it for dear life not wanting to drop it knowing she would only have one chance to drink it. If he realized she had poison with her then he would probably feed it to her brothers as a lesson.
She heard footsteps'he was here.

So her's part 2. I know I am skipping around a lot, but that's because I would be bored writing about the boring stuff like meeting the family who hates Jodha etc and you would be bored reading it too. And then eventually I would get so bored, I would stop writing. Plus I wanna keep this short...so I am cutting to only relevant scenes: Jodha-Akbar scenes.
Btw, wow this is much shorter than I thought it would be. Sorry guys. But I am sleepy too...its 3 am!!
