Bottom line wohi hai ki he is too weak and spineless a guy to live life for himself.....he is willing to allow his exploitation by malicious people and just go through the motions of life with people who have done so much abuse and injustice against him....lol

It is surprising that he has an excellent career, obviously did not build by being weak and spineless, yet he fails to use those skills at home.

Even in today's scene, when he sees Parashar is not yielding, he turns and presents the factory benefits to the crowd. Why cant he do the same in reverse. He presents his love for J and his longing in the crowd and gets "cowed" done. He should do it individually, bring one by one on his side. By now he shld know Arshi and her mother's tactics and use those strategies against them. In the room convo she was successful in herself bringing up "woh ladki" and then later taking J's name first and then accused Ani for breaking promise of mentioning J's name. I had to re-watch to see who brought up J's topic and who mentioned her name first.

@bold: Yes, Arshi brought up Jhanak's name first in the convo but later on was acting like Ani mentioned Jhanak first and "broke some promise" .....

Even Ani instead of mentioning that Arshi brought up Jhanak first diverted the whole convo towards bringing up Sid and then claiming ki Sid ki baat hui, isliye Jhanak ki baat hui....lol

Whole scene was poorly written as usual with one dialogue not connected to the next....Leena can't remember to keep the lines coherent within one scene also....lol no wonder TRP is 1.4 and sinking day by day

Only point I saw to this scene was reinforcing that Ani still can't stand Arshi....never initiates any convos with Arshi even 5 years later....he was busy in his own work - she was the one who showed up there to talk to him and question him about lame things so he was just retorting back and making it quite clear he doesn't give a damn about her.....but as usual Arshi was shamelessly dragging out the convo and trying to beg for sympathy about things in her life like Mom in jail, Dad staying alone in his house blah blah...lol

Then why does she not stay in dad's place at least some times?? Baap kiska hai?? As far as we know, Ani ka to nahi hai..she never took up any responsibility as a daughter..she abandoned her mowm during her pregnancy who was her biggest supporter..

It is only Didi and evil gang trying to push that narrative constantly that Jhanak's presence is a drag on Ani's life....Ani does keep countering that Jhanak was his goal in life, Jhanak's presence made him see the true faces of many people.

But yeah overall the narrative is so weak to cater to Arshi victimhood and this is why show will crash and burn in its final days also....lol Leena trying to push this cheap narrative till the very end simply to prop up her characterless Laadli ki fantasies about of playing wife card in a naam ki shaadi.

Ani is clearly unhappy with Arshi even after tolerating her for 5 years but we are still supposed to be believe this is some "pati patni" story of Anishi? .....just because the characters in the story are blind doesn't mean we are too.
