I too liked it. I also thought a dialogue like "meri Jhanak aise ginoni kaam nahi karsakti" would have been apt after his "tumhare Sirji..." But its ok he didn't say "meri Jhanak"... instead he said "tum"... I'm sure he thought that anyways

I feel like the "Tumhare Sirji" had more emotional heft behind it.....not sure Ani feels confident enough to say "meri Jhanak" right now given how she barely even allows him to have a 2 minute conversation with her .....but the Tumhare Sirji sort of evoked a sense of belonging that Sirji toh Jhanak ke hi hain and aur us haq se usse request kar rahe hain...pleading that she listen to him cuz he is HERS.

That is kind of why she said that helpless "Sirji" in response too cuz she was so moved by him saying that

Mujhe yaad aaya ek time tha when Ani used to BRISTLE at any suggestion ki Jhanak uspe TARAS khaa rahi hai .....but aaj he has reached the stage of begging her to give him daya as a crumb since she has otherwise made herself an unattainable impossible dream for him....lol

In later part of their conversation he admitted na that he knows Jhanak can never be his partner in this life time..
