He never said what he wanted clearly. First time he said that is when J had the surgery. This is if you discount his feverish blabber.

Agree - but she did not. So why is she now in their lives? If she wants both to be happy, why is she putting herself before Ani day and night?

A sensible person would stay away from Arshi, go to Appu di's house.
