Ani doesn't remember it. That is why he is backing off. If he does remember it, he would have stayed mum or speak after a point. If he had remembered it, he would have tried to discuss with J about it once before annulment

The language used was terrible. But any guy who asumes the girl is using his name would worry about his image, question on his character. Imagine the reverse, if J had moved on with Adi and she gets pregnant, Ani out of the blue claims the child to be his. J would have slapped him and said how can you tarnish my image etc.

The simple point is in Ani's head, she is lying, coz he doesn't remember it and hence tarnishing his image

Why is J's life ruined? She will get him to admit his child and move on. She escaped having a nightmare marriage with this man.

Somehow I still cannot fully believe Ani did this. He said everything he does he does for J.
