no idea what the makers want the audience to understand Ani’s actions. It is apparent they want to stretch. Otherwise the makers could have easily made Ani to realize his feelings by now.

Oh no maam, sometimes it takes a long time even in real life to realize your feelings. You remain on the surface and superficially rationalize everything but after a long while and by some lucky hints you realize such feelings

It's just a measure of possessiveness. I don't think he will do it. Just that he is possessive/jealous about any other male around his biwi.

Yeah. She is just projecting what she did in her nightmares into reality. She did the same so Ani would not come behind her.

It certainly is more than just protecting Jhanak now. There is a bit of ego mixed in for him since Jhanak keeps telling him that Tejas is above the law and that he is powerful and has lots of money. You can see this in the episode where he brings her back after her first attempt to leave with Tejas. He asked if it was because he has lots of money has political connections and is powerful. The second time he successfully made Jhanak chase Ani away. I am sure Ani has never faced a situation where he is not in the upper hand before Tejas. And it grates him to lose like this. So, he is bringing that to the front to keep giving a justifiable reason as to why he won't allow Jhanak to leave anywhere he doesn't approve of.
