Shantanu went out of his comfort zone of dance style and still did decently well in the duo act. Whereas Salman still, after his immense hours of daily practice, returned to his ultimate forte style, which has been seen for years, since his DID auditions I remember, and thus faired better. If he tried to do a dance form he hasn't really done before, then we'll talk. But still marks were based on the ultimate duet performances rather than acknowledging the comfort zone level (other than Ganesh sir pointing it), so its fine.

Coming to solo, hands down, Shantanu was way better than Salman. And I'm not saying as a fan, but as a very critical dance viewer. His footwork had pure clarity that you could identify each step without needing to pause the tv, yet they were super fast to match each beat of the song. He was energetic and open in his body language, where each instrumentation of the song was shown visually through his moves. Whereas Salman was stiff, had slow moves that overarched many beats of the song, and the his solo dance itself had simple steps that didnt match the level of energy it required for such a powerful song. And he also fumbled his landing clearly in the end. But in scores, Salman's flaws were ignored (other than a comment of stiffness by Ganesh sir), and he was finally given a 29, and Shantanu a 26. Both had a plus point over the other in either duet or solo, yet marks were cut only for Shantanu. But his performance won hearts and recognition, and will hopefully win all the marks rightfully as well.

You are entitled to your opinion, I am really not gonna tell u about Shantanu's achievements. But as a matter of fact even judges comments and marks were poles apart. The performance was edgy and that three marks difference was huge.
Ps- Never mind, it takes time to develop good taste and recognize good things. Good luck to u 😊

I kinda disagree with you cause I think 26 was fine, maybe a 27 would have been better, but I dont think his act deserved more. His duet looked pretty messed up and it is fair on every judge to cut a mark for that.
What I felt was wrong was Salman getting a 29. He definitely didn't deserve that. Again a 27 or max 28 should have been the marks given to him.

The problem is when u see the performance and scores, then there is a lot of difference. Relatively both the performances were edgy with hardly a difference of 19-20. And even individually both the performances were somewhat similar. Shantanu overpowered in solo and salman in duet act. So why this difference of three marks? If Shantanu got 26 thn salman should have got 27 to the max.

I agree! And what bothers me more is that Shakti received more marks than Shantanu when clearly he's the better dancrer. I've got nothing against Shakti, just the fact that the judges seemed to have forgotten about the other contestants while marking. I mean in totality, if Salman's act was the best, Shantanu's was next best and marks should have been distributed based on ALL acts and not just the face off.
This season is trash and I feel bad for Shantanu </3

He definitely deserved more. This is a dance show if non dancers can score more than him then he definitely deserves to score more than them afterall there is going to be only one trophy not separate trophies - one for dancers and one for non-dancers. There needs to be one common basis to judge everyone regardless of whether they are dancers or non-dancers.

I agree Salman is a very limited dancer/choreo. Coming to this performance, Salman was not that good in solo, he lost his balance in the last jump, his finish were off during solo. With so many flaws, I was surprised to hear Jacqueline say there was no mistake.Always Salman and his choreo's flaws were overlooked ( even in previous performance) . IMO his act doesnot deserve a 29.
Shantanu's performance was awesome in solo but not that good in duet. Usually there is a golden rule that u don't perform Tango with bare foot but Alisha did it with bare foot. Most of the times I do feel that shantanu' marks gets pull down because of Alisha.
IMO Shantanu's 26 was fair enough but Salman's 29 was not. Salman is overrated and doesnot deserve a 29 for this performance.
