i think pakistan serials are 100 times better .they don't run years and have logic don't do make up like we are living another world . and about #ipkknd its not over yet ...no serial have this much fandom i think. and some one says character like sandhiya ..tulsi .spare me from ektha shows . Trp is a laughing stock, the ridicules and illogical serials come top 5 . i think when a" repoter "like serial be on first position in india our viwers making me wrong about their choice#sasural and Sathiya like serials came in first position

And please dont compare her with tulsi aka smriti irani. She is the hrd minister. She would have been famous even if she never did kyunki thanks to her political career. And back in 2000 tv shows were a rage...kyunki, kahaani, kasauti. The whole family would sit together and watch from 9-11 pm. After that not a single show could match their popularity.

please spare us from ektha's show. i am already fed up with twist and turns the name of creativity she doing. about smrit irani ..politics i don't want to say anything . she lost against rahul gandhi .i know politics .i don't want to comment ..but please spare ekta shows and the TRPs

Nobody is asking u to go n watch ekta shows but yea none of the actresses from the current lot can be as famous as tulsi, parvati n prerna. Gone are those days. And her last hit show has ended long tym back.

And to the one who asked me to google her popularity

Google says even people like dolly bindra n rakhi sawant are way more popular than sanaya.

She's the hrd minister, but some where her mass appeal in the initial years was due to her work in tele serials

Which does talk about the reach tvshows CAN HAVE

So how is it deameaning to smriti irani if I compare her to sanaya or any television actor

I am not comparing hrd minister to a telestar ,I am.comparing a once a very popular tele star to another (plus I am not saying in any manner that sanaya is as popular as smriti ,all I am saying is TV can have they kind of reach

Not sure if you watched any ekta shows ,I havnt in a while ,but I totally admire that woman for understanding her target audience so well

All this buzz about reality shows ,Bollywood coming to TV is also cos TV became a sensible investment

All thanks to her

I.have watched a few shows here and there or other makers ,most of them are a very unsuccessful attempt to copy ekta's serial making format -now that's what I call a change maker

True none from the current lot can match those actress.Gauri Tejwani ( Kutumb and Kyunki) is also popular if not more..

Although I am not a fan of Ekta shows but I could not agree with ttt more. To her credit, almost every show of hers regardless of the channel has been popular and those on top GECs are among top 5.

She understands the target audience so well. Whether for good or for the bad but Indian TV today with the concept of joint families, a hilariously perfect heroine and an annoying dramatic vamp is her doing. She manages to entertain a large chunk of audience, let's give credit where it is due.
