By the way since a song is mentioned. I find nothing cheap about the song Baby doll, there is nothing vulgar about the lyrics. I am no fan of Sunny but I never called her names, I just found the song baby Doll catchy.

There are so many songs on patriotism from old movies to new movies. It would have been lovely to watch so many performances where contestants gives tribute to India in different ways.

I was reading previous comments. As only one contestant has performed on patriotic, there will be definitely comparisons of dances others have taken because there was no need to be patriotic according to JDJ creatives. It should be just made in India. And nobody else has done patriotic gives me chance of doubt that channel wanted to show only one patriotic. Hummm! Dal me kuch kala hai😡

^^ hmmm.. what about scarlett's dance then? she didnt do indian dance forms from the pictures released and seemed to have gotten a 40? dal me kuch kala hai still? 😛

Yes there is nothing vulgar in this song but according to some people its an insult to perform on this song on independence day but for me doing mujra or kathak on this song is a new thinking just like "Rishta wohi soch nayi".

do u really think ppl r here agnst baby doll coz sunny was there in song? How narrow minded u think us to b?

V all belong to educated and open minded family and I never bashed sunny for her past profession but ppl r just saying they don't find this song to b apt on this auspicious day. Kisi aur heroine ka bhi item song hota toh log yahi kehte.. I found sanaya far better whn I heard mohit is dancing on lagawe tu lipstick.. I m upset they could have shown other authentic dance forms too.. Many unknown dance forms like bihu assam

In fact I have no idea wht shamita is upto. Her still luks ajeeb si. I would have not minded these things agar Koi aur day hota..

Sanaya, Faizal, Radhika ka dance form toh Indian hai but mohit, shamita and aashish ka toh kuch samajh hi nhi aa rha

Nah its more like JDJ 8 is a confused place with some doing indian forms while other contestants seem to be giving dance tributes to Indian stars. Scarlett, VD, even Ashish dont seem to be doing indian forms. One of them even got a perfect score.

So independence day or Indian dance forms? Or a mashup of both?

I guess giving tribute to various dance forms of India is patriotism enough!

Just like how Faisal is doing a lavni on Marathi item song ...same way Mohit too is doing one on Bhojpuri song ... whats so cheap in that?? Bhojpuri is cheap? Then the song Faisal in performing should also be tagged cheap!

Sanaya mujra is also Indian dance form

Raftaar taandav is also Indian dance form

Faizal lavani and irfan dandiya both r Indian forms

Subreet national bird bani hai

Scarlet giving tribute to Mary com

Vivi nai patriotic song kiys

But wht the hell mohit, aashish and shamita doing?

Nautanki is bollywood part not authentic Indian dance form plus tht song selection mohit for this day sucks

Shamita ka toh pic still hi ajeeb hai

Aashish ka toh kuch samajh hi nhi aa rha

As for song I really didn't liked sanaya song though waise I like baby doll song but I m excited to c her mujra

I understand that every one has interpreted the theme in their way ... and everyone should be respected for that! Calling them cheap and all is not done !

Theme was to perform on Indian dance forms... and thats what many are doing... Ashish and Scarlett i guess are doing BW form ...

Who said bhojpuri is cheap? I m from up myself and it's called nautanki and not bhojpuri on which bollywood dance is based on. But seriously lagaave tu lipstick k lyrics sune hai? Seriously bhojpuri mai aur bhi song hai and nautanki is more or less bollywood agn not authentic Indian dance form.. Bhangra, bihu, garba log kaise bhool gaye
