@TM
about the topic i dunno, see I am not Indian.. so i guess it is just a showcase of beautiful exotic Indian dance forms for someone like me..
But VD's performance was awesome from the bit I saw. Hope it was appreciated as it is a special day for the country and it would go with everyone's sentiments!!

But as for others not doing patriotic acts, that is the JDJ creative team's fault who came up with ethnic dance forms instead of a patriotic theme.. So no contestant or choreo is bound to perform on a theme that wasn't mentioned to them..
They would only concentrate on what was told to them as the theme..

Inn VD's case i think it was a different interpretation of the same and hopefully it worked for him.. And as I said, i think it was a great act. :)

I feel the theme being MADE IN INDIA made it vast and open to many interpretations.
Made in India just doesn't mean Indian dance forms, neither does it mean only patriotic performances.

It means anything related to India. I feel Vivian and Scarlett's dances are real tribute to India on independence day while people doing kathak, bharatnatyam and other dance forms are showcasing various dance forms that originated in India.

But yes I don't understand how tapori comes under this? [:/] Isn't it very bollywoodish and lame? It is not even a fully recognised dance form [:/]

Do u think its contestants not doing patriotic? I don't think so. It must be channel want to show variety and compelling others to do something else and gave only one patriotic to their favorite so literally he can survive that song...contempory where VD doesn't need to dance very much...celeb guest will praise him...his fans become happy...vote doubles...very smart channel👏

I am not at all disappointed!
I am glad that different contestants are choosing different dance forms representing India.
And last weeks promo indicated Indian dance forms, maybe they added in the patriotic element to go with the Aug 15 celebrations!
I think it would be an overkill to see everyone doing patriotic songs!
I think good mix is perfect!!!!

I also don't have any problem. If every one only performed on patriotic song it will become monotonous n more over everyone is presenting various dance form which is originated or releated to India with little twist.if performing on patriotic song means giving tribute to India then presenting various dance form which is releated to India is also called giving tribute to India.

Showing variations in India dance forms is good but not on the day of Independence day of India. Everybody should get a chance to perform on patriotic song to do correct judging. Mark my words, I am sure VD must have got 40 because of the patriotic song irrespective of his dancing. Its not fair, none of others got to do it. Definitely one contestant performs on August 15th, his performance needs to be called the best to give respect to the country in front of celeb guests and he should be rewarded 40.
That's all, I rest my opinion here. I will watch VD over this weekend for my further remarks.

I totally agree, how can one say it will be boring to see all performing on patriotic songs. Till now in any reality shows let it be dancing or singing, day of Independence day is devoted towards importance of that day.

There are so many songs on patriotism from old movies to new movies. It would have been lovely to watch so many performances where contestants gives tribute to India in different ways.

I was reading previous comments. As only one contestant has performed on patriotic, there will be definitely comparisons of dances others have taken because there was no need to be patriotic according to JDJ creatives. It should be just made in India. And nobody else has done patriotic gives me chance of doubt that channel wanted to show only one patriotic. Hummm! Dal me kuch kala hai😡

Every one have diffrent opinion on this topic, for the TM only performing on the patriotic song or re presenting famous people is giving tribute to India n for me presenting various dance form releated to India is also a kind of tribute to India I think we should wait for the actuall epi to air then judge that only perfoming on patriotic song is make u eligible to get 40 or is dance also important?
