My fav judges pannel is also Malaika, Kiran, and KJo.

They should have taken Vaibhavi or Malika in the place of Lauren.They give apt comments and marks.

I also liked ZND .

I never say this about any contestant.. but hell yeah! Mohit is super hot ...and the guy has such great body and screen presence!

I hope JDJ helps him get noticed ..and he goes far in the show ! 👍🏼

@ Jane. I see your point. I think Malaika has improved over time. She is pretty honest on what she feels, but gets her message out in a nice way so it doesn't hurt as bad. Vaibhavi is a great judge too. Don't have either of the two ladies replacing Lauren. But I think Lauren really needs to go if she is going to continue judging at this level.

My hopes are the same as yours for Shahid. This is one of the qualities I have come to respect in judges over time. Un-biased and honest opinion.

@ Patronus: LOL, I haven't seen what Saroj Khan did with KSG, but since I am not his fan, whatever it was I would have enjoyed it.

However, I do recall her telling one of the contestants that she dances like a man and doesn't have any grace of a woman and needs to work on that in NB 1 or 2. She said it so bluntly that I was so shocked. She could have definitely said it in a nicer way, but her marks were up to the point.

Unfortunately, don't think she will come back to TV where everything is getting scripted probably comments' scale for marks as well. I feel like at that time, judges had a lot of power and they honestly gave marks, whereas now, the channels have more power due to TRP race. Also, not to forget NB 1 and 2 was on Star One. So less involvement of channel as it already was on lower pedestal on TRP scale. Plus, TRP issue wasn't as bad that time, was it? And I think NB was the first reality show when it came to dance and singing shows so not much competition on weekends at that time.

@nine2: I know but there is a difference between being nice and overnice. I always found Malaika overnice which is why I could never warm up to her fully. BUT she somehow managed to do it in a way which didn't question her credibility as a judge unlike some others. That's something I realised only later and something I have learnt to appreciate about her now that I look back.

And it's not even about unbiased really, that should go without saying. But the feedback should have some substance. There should be a reason why a particular act did or didn't work and that needs to be told in clear terms so that contestants know what they're doing right and where exactly they need to improve. That was missing today and for most part in the past seasons as well. Too much ambiguity.

And KSG was basically huge when he took part in Jhalak at the peak of his Armaan days, Saroj Khan basically put him in his place that he was not above the rest of the contestants.

A shift of channel harmed NB just like it harmed Jhalak imho even though it was a sister network. The spark just disappeared after S2 though I did watch till S6. S7, I couldn't. Even I have my limits when Ekta mai takes over and Chetan Bhagat becomes the judge.

Agree with the comments here,if Lauren is sitting here to give 10/10 to every colors bahu and sympathise with the sad,exhaustive juggling-btw-2 shows stories of them,better replace her with vaibhvi ,she's a no nonsense judge,gives apt comments and scores too.and bring a gud cohost for Manish,he looks bored.

Regarding payment issues of vd and so,dunno why is it so??OK,nobody can portray RK as vd does but that doesn't mean he was the sole reason of TRPs of mb or that he's the best actor out there.everybody underrates si bcoz RR didn't do well TRPs wise,forgetting her versatility of portraying khushi and paro effectively. Say,if TRPs are the measuring scale of acting abilities, then are gopi vahu,simar pragya and ishani the best actresses in tellywood??

@nine2: I feel we've reached closure to the discussion wrt everything else but yes, let's respectfully disagree on ZND. I did not care much for the SO one (truthfully I forgot the first season wasn't on SP); it was far inferior in terms of dance performances imho and I just did not like the boys' team. Some of those contestants spread too much negativity with their big-headedness.

But it's alright if you don't feel similarly. Cheers!
