A: Weeks down the line.. Have things improved? Can one still comment on DD honestly?
B: Are people being honest with their opinions on her?"

First time I read it, I found some extra text, which has been edited/refined. So in my second read, I found the easy 😆 much more reasonable.😊

Although you have tried to balance the DD fans a lot... But you have proven again and again that Q "A" above hasn't changed least bit, answer is a NO, it hasn't changed at all. While your refined text doesn't say anything to establish that the answer to Q "B" above is negative, so it's YES, means justified.

I do agree to the biased judgements, Channel's bias to DD and increasing vulgarity amongst the other contestants in the show.😕

I think there have been enough discussions on Vulgarity of DD, so I won't go in details of it here. You have mentioned your opinion and I do agree, none of the dresses are outright vulgar. But when you combine 1) Dress 2) Expression 3) Choreography 4) Execution of the steps ... Then you get the total act. If that act looks vulgar in totality, one has to conclude that the majority factors have been on the vulgar side. That's what has happened with DD in almost 4 of the acts so far... iMO

Regarding other contestants also being vulgar:

I just don't want to even discuss this point at length. Do they have any option but to be more aggressive? Vulgar acts of DD have earned her perfect 10s and appreciations from the judges, so that forces all the other competitors to do the same. That's natural in any competition.

But still I'm happy that, they had the taste to not to over do and none of the contestants have so far gone even near to the extreme vulgarity of physically licking the leg at length.. & Dance-less vulgar display of body etc already shown by DD and appreciated by judges.

If the show now goes all out vulgar, ill blame the channel and judges for inspiring vulgarity by praising and rewarding DD-Salman's vulgar acts.

Whatever theme you give to them, Salman seems to be working on only one theme, "Vulgarity"

👏 I agree with every single comment of yours. Imagine - if men say that we shud dance sensually like a gal to score brownies - That's the biggest hint of what is actually happening. I guess the other day I was in a mood and .. I'm sure we will be able to have some great discussions in the future..

Hmm...DD.. where should I start..
As an actor, she's pretty fine, not out of the world but fine. I watched her Geet in bits and pieces .
So I thought to watch MB as well and one fine morning I thought to visit MB forum. After staying there for awhile I figured that there's a sort of a "verbal war" going on. Sick of that, I just DARED to say stop with this , just support your show and guess what happened. I got bashed for saying that. Got couple of mails in my inbox which sounded more like threatening ones.
One even had the audacity to assume and accuse me that I was there JUST to bash MB cause I had this dp of "Khushi". How immature!!! I had not even said a thing about DD or the show, just asked to stop their fanwar, and got bashed. Can you imagine criticizing her!!! When I asked that fan where and how I bashed her goddess, then I think she read my comment and apologized thru mail. ( I still have that mail as an evidence)..She got so overprotective just by looking at my dp and didn't even bother to read what I typed. ( That's some devotion!)
A bunch of so called fans who acts like overprotective bodyguard of DD are the reason I stopped watching MB.
Even here I try to not to talk about her, not cause I don't like her or anything (I kinda like her as a dancer so far) but cause some of her overzealous fans..

But I stopped making fun of dd and only make posts on sultan

From your post, I agree that other contestants should also get a chance to dance with the celebs that come to the show.

Drashti has danced with/presented with Ranbir Kapoor, SRK and Vivan
Lauren has danced with Ranbir Kapoor and the ABCD team
Sana has danced with the Ramayavastavaya guy

(Did I miss anyone? Madhuri doesn't count as she is often called to dance and that's not really promotion)

Why aren't the other contestants called to dance with the celebs??

Also, the only women celebs that came to jhalak were Sonam and Vidya - neither danced with any of the contestants. I would love to see Sid, KVB or Shaan dance with a woman celeb. And what is the reason for always having male celebs on (more than women). Apparently this week again it's a male (Arjun Rampal ) - and I am not complaining about that at all - just would wish that women celebs come too and dance with the celebs.

I think if jhalak includes other contestants in the show and has them dance with the celebs that come to the show, it would add more flavor to the show.

True - I think it's nice for all to get good opportunities - rather than colours ki madhubala all the time.

I see all her interviews and find her to be the most genuine and down to earth person with no airs about her being a celebrity. That is what I love about her. I truly admire her for that. I find her to be the most talented actress on television.(My POV). For me she is a DIVA. But the fact is I never criticize other actors because I know everybody has their favourites and all of them put in lot of hard work, efforts to entertain us. I appreciate the hard work of the ppl out there working day and night to entertain us.

I am active on MB forum and I like VD also coz he is perfect RK for me.

Anoshka why have you changed the DP pic.

Even I think as a person she seems to be okay - and I'd like to be fair in my comment for her - and occassionally praise her. BUT as a performer she has flaws and it is her wild fans that do not allow one to have an opinion. Not all fans - but some which are her voluntary PA's 😆

i only like drasti's dance , she blessed with flexcible body , does hard lifts , fast learner ...only problem is salman , i heard , her fans demanded salman for her , if this is true then i can say only one thing for them " apne paro pe khud kulhaadi maar le "

Salmaan will make her a star okay - *po*n star* if this continues.. 😆

I find DD fans and DD bashers as two extremes. Her fans are way to protective of her and this website has people who just like to get on the fans' nerves and bash their favourite. So because DD fans are so sensitive, she is bashed the most in this forum and some of it is in quite a bad taste. But move out of JDJ forum and you'll see that any fanbase that is overly sensitive have their favourites bashed the most. It's a sadistic pleasure which is involved. And when it comes to people who genuinely criticise DD, her fans are no less in bashing them either. It's like a crime to have a difference of opinion when it comes to their 'princess' and this attitude sickens me!

What happens in Geet or Madhubala forum is not my place to comment since I haven't seen either shows or been a part of their forums but here, I am a little tired of everything being about DD, praising as well as bashing. I, too, did not find anything vulgar in any of her costumes so far leave the one from last week. The lowers honestly didn't work for me because I saw no reason for them to be so short and there was no step which required that length. Sana's dress was just as skimpy but did not look quite so bad. I'm not being a hypocrite here because fact is that a proper western dress is cut and styled in that manner. The thong DD wore isn't suppose to be so short and hence it looked vulgar.

Dancing-wise, I have to say I do not like what I see in DD's performances. She is a decent dancer but nowhere near the perfect scores she gets. And I do not find Salman's choreography up to the mark this season. It's my opinion and nothing will make me change it unless I see something worth it. The Egyptian act getting 30 was the day JDJ lost it's credibility for me and since then, I make it a point to not take the show seriously. In fact, last week I just saw the performances and forwarded the rest of the episodes, which includes the judges comments and the scores ;)

Thank you for sharing your POV - It was a pleasure to read.. and I totally agree.
