Thank you 😃 So that's two...errr...three professional/experienced dancers, right?

Lauren's from SYTYCD (I watched that season) but she was also in ABCD (haven't watched that)

And the kids...are they just salsa-experienced or do they do more dance forms?

At least you've learned some sort of dance form whereas I've zilch 😆 I dance at parties and goof around with my little niece. We both have mastered Gangnam style though 😆

I was going to add random dancing in bedroom, hallway, kitchen and in cars but thought it might be too much 😆😆

Gangnam style!!!! My and my three-year old nephew bopped around to it when it was playing everywhere! I think it is an aunty/neice-nephew thing to do 😆 Mums are serious so it's auntie's job to teach them to dance like loonies 😆

Oh yeah I always tell my sis that she can be this serious mom so I can be a cool aunt to my adorable niece 😆 See we do have something in common 😆

Speaking of contestants, even I don't know majority of them. I know Shaan, Shwetha, Lauren and now Dhrashti for Salman's sake. The rest I will have to wait and watch

I know the choreographers better than the celebs and that's the case every time JDJ happens 🤣

Cool aunts are the best 😎

Don't know anything about the choreographers except the names of like three 😆

In terms of participants then I know; Siddharth, Dhrasti, Shweta, Shaan and Lauren. I have heard of KVB and Meghna before but everybody else I am clueless 😛

Never seen JDJ either so it's going to an interesting experience all around 😆

From the promos I've seen, I gather first dances are going to be:
* Dhrasti - waltz
* Shaan - disco
* Sid - hip-hop...or robot

Are there other promos out there? Of contestant dances?

No I haven't seen the other promos, in fact I've watched very few promos

I started following JDJ properly from season 4 onwards and that's for Salman and Remo. But I've seen few dance items of previous seasons here and there

professionaly trained in salsa.. they primarily have learnt only one art.. other forms would be new for them.. but the thing is if you have flexibility and can really dance its easy to learn other dance forms.. its the postures and emotions and nuances that require more attention than the steps themselves for such people doing new forms...

The girl is amazing!!!

( I feel so sorry for men.. in forms as salsa.. poor guy has to take the lead , hold it together.. but its the woman who looks pretty always doing all the ooh so complex steps .. 😆😛)

Yeah flexibility is critical! The only place it can be problematic is when doing hip-hop or locking which requires flexibility, strength and posture. Sometimes flexible people can't hold their posture enough to make the strong moves as required. Also happens for some of the ballrooms dances as well. Posture posture posture.

Most of the latin and ballroom dances showcase the girls. Guys are there just like props/coat hangers holding it all together 😆 I think paso doble is one of the few where the guy gets a chance to shine.
