i heard this quetion beofre and somehow i agree with you
she is a flawless dancer without any doubt and many people already KNOW she is gonna perform better than others in many aspects. I am a fan of her dancing and she has a huge fan following so there is a very big chance she wins but what i dont eant is biasness on this show. Everybody knows she is gonna dance so good n her first performance that many other contestants wont be able to do hat in their last performance so if by any chance she dosent win and say ashish ya karan wins then i dont want people to turn around and say that this is not fair shkati lost even though she was a better dance than so and so becuase we already know that. She is trained tho obviously wo better hogi so lets see what happens😛

i ree but i disgree too. In the past 2 seasons the undeserving are winning especially in season 5..the winner was NOT deserving as other participants. In season 6 we knew from the first episode that DD will win becuase of her fan following which she is not to blame for. But this season the competiton for fan following is really toight. Whether it is kritika karan ashish or shakti they have huge fan following so we dont who is gonna win anything can happen

I opened up a genuine thread and I would appreciate it if we could stick to the topic rather than side tracking. We've had a good 20 page discussion and I wouldn't want to thread to close. So please stick to the topic and continue on with a healthy conversation. I have enjoyed reading most of the replies even though they differ from mine.

But how is her winning the title in DID going to help her in JDJ? The only things that actually count towards anything are your dance performance (which is helped by training, which Lauren had and Isha had, but you just said that that's not what you're talking about), and your popularity as a celeb. As far as experience goes, most of these celebs have participated in other dance reality shows. Mouni was in Zara Nachke Dikha and won. Exposure? What will that give her? An fandom? They all have a fandom! Does it give her confidence? Well, if you go by any of the interviews, the non-trained, no-experience wale contestants seem to have more confidence.

I understand that you want a healthy discussion. It's just that I don't think there is much to discuss and it's being dragged out. Four or five people end up saying the same exact thing.

Honestly I don't know about any other winners because I only watched DID. I don't understand if they have already won a title why do they need to participate in another dancing show? Of course if they were approached by colors, no one would refuse the offer. But it just becomes unfair to the non-dancers. I really think they need to change the format of the show and bring in non-dancer celebs who have had little to no training or if they have training they haven't been a winner on a reality show before. Being on another show does give you exposure and does give you an advantage even though it may just be a slight advantage.

Why would they need to refuse the offer though? Do you see Usain Bolt being all, "Naaah, man. I won an Olympic Medal. I don't need to run another race." No, he's passionate about what he does and he wants to run. Just like Shakti said that she's only here to dance.

That being said, I just pointed out a few places where Shakti needed work, just like everyone else ie classical, jitterbug, lambada, etc. Yes, there are less trained dancers, but so what? Every year, Jhalak puts out contestants who have different backgrounds in dance. Some have none. It's all about getting better at it. I honestly don't see how the exposure from being in another show factors in to Jhalak. They all have experience in front of the camera, most of them from other dance shows, and they're all pretty confident.

jhalak/dancing with the stars have always been considered as a platform for non dancers..

but in sometimes, the channel does bring in trained dancers..which I do not believe suits Jhalak...

would not like to single out Shakti..but her or any other trained dancer's inclusion beats the purpose of the show...

I really like Shakti from Dil Dostii Dance days, but I agree with you here. Bringing her like a choreographer made more sense than a contestant. She is so well trained and a very professional dancer, which is kinda unfair for the other contestants. But I don't think she will win..she will be like Lauren of this season. Scripted show.

Mummy!!!!! i just visited the forum see that people are going gaga over shakti being contestant and so on
Why it is unfair? ???
.
So coming straight to the point without roaming here and there:

It is fair definitely fair as this is not the 1st season they approached trained dancer. Don't know about 1st season but in 2nd season Sudha Chandran was a trained dancer and not to forget Lauren last year.. just because she wasn't part of any Indian dancing shows before doesn't mean that she is less trained than Shakti. She was 1 of the top five contestant of 1 American dancing shows.
N moreover even Colors and JDJ needs trained dancers like Shakti, Lauren, Mouni and so on in every season after all this is a DANCE REALITY SHOW. And apart from some favourite celebrity with their fan following there are more than 50% of general viewers who watch this show just for dance who simply can't wait till semi finale and finale to witness some brilliant and mind blowing performances. So yeah trained dancers needed for the general viewers of the show who simply don't give a damn about celebrities and favouritism. No all these trained dancers are the reason for general viewers to get hooked with the show.

N other issue why Shakti is not choreographer when salman, punit, mohena are even they all come from same platform???

Did JDJ was on air when salman and punit were shooting for ABCD???
NO
is mohena doing any other show or movie while she is choreographing for JDJ? ?
NO

Because to be a choreographer of JDJ you need to give more time to the show definitely than contestants almost like 24/7.

Does Shakti really afford to give that much of time to the show to be a choreographer while she is doing other show as a female protagonist where she needs to shoot even more than others leading lady of saas bahu show (no offence to saas bahu show) because she has to rehearse for dance as it's a popular dance show. .
N this girl is so professional that she don't take any projects where she knows that she can't give her 100%. N most of us know that she can't compromises when it comes to dance So why would she take a offer as choreography at this moment when she knows that she has responsibility of other show on her shoulder? ?

And at least she is not like some celebs who behave like "Hawww I HAVE SUCH A HUGE FAN FOLLOWING TOH MUJHE NACHNE KI KYA ZARURAT HAI. THODA HAAT PEHER HILAU TO VOTE DE HI DENGE"

PS: I am not a Shakti fan but when it comes to dancing I respect her, adore her. People just can't jump her for being a DID winner.

*please share your opinion in polite manner .
You can appreciate your favourite but don't DISRESPECT, ABBUSE & BASH others.
