Well said! 👍🏼

If the music is boring...it takes away from a performance too. There have been few instances of this earlier n imo kw's last week's song choice for color gray wasn't that captivating.

Props...so much can go wrong with them! So using them well definitely adds to a performance. Have they ever not worked for a contestant? 🤔 will hav to think about it n get back to you 😳

P.S: This thread is a proof enough, only controversy sells 😆😆

That is the already proven global tendency darling 😆

Btw speaking of which I didn't see any choreographers utilizing lighting and camera work cleverly apart from Salman in this season. He used it wisely in the ghost act and Dirty Picture act

I'm still pretty much hung up on Shampa & Sushant's ghost act too. It's one of the best I've seen so far apart from Salman & Isha's work

Only one I can remember is of Isha/Salman's Dupatta in their butterfly act. Will have to think for others.

But for me song is the important aspect of any act, if the song is boring or if it doesn't feel connected, the act gets fast forwarded unfortunately. So good song is a must for me along with other add-ons.

I liked Shampa and Sushant's ghost act for their choreography and completeness of the act. But Isha's was all in all horror, and the act did make sense unlike some who didn't get the whole idea of Isha stalking Salman. To me it was complete, scary with the proper use of stage, lighting, camera, costumes and choreography. They also hit the target with the chosen song.

No wonder Big boss forum goes all crazy 😆😆

Yup agree with you here. I too prefer Salman's version of horror to Shampa's because it made a big impact with the execution and especially the ending where Isha went up backwards. That was something extraordinary to watch on TV

Hi guys,

IMO, props can edge the entertainment factor in a performance but I still want to watch the actual dance. So far, Rashmi and Deepak are doing pure dance along with a Darsheel and Avneet. This also makes it easier for me to judge the dance itself and not the overall feel. In this regard, Remo is the best judge. No matter how fancy the props are, he notices the dance.

However, in theme based episodes, the usage of props is necessary, such as in the case of the horror act. This is where the choreographer can show his visionary genius apart from just choreography. In this respect, Salman is the best so far- only limited by Isha, who I personally think cannot do dance forms that require her body to be solid and controlled such as in Hip Hop.

Agree with song selection surely makes a diffrent, If songs are matching acc to concept n steps that can overcome the flaws in performance...

U know wat as most of the topics here r so repetitive tht I almost overlooked dis thread, but m glad dat finally I gave a look in. Very good thread.
Whnever I comment I always say performance rather than dance, coz it's not just the dancing but the whole package including usage of lights, atmosphere created, costume and props used and most importantly as u said selection of the song. U r so right. Salman has been bang on whn selecting songs and I think most of their performances hv been based on AR Rehman music, which is best suited for d kind of dancing tht Isha Salman do.
I really liked Rithwik Sneha's song selections too, especially Bhag DK Bose, bang on coz of the energy tht Rit exudes and in the jodi special the Andaaz apna apna song.
Infact last time I found tht the song selection of one of the contestants was totally off, but forgot which one.😳 Will hv to recall all the performances.

I feel same. I dislike use of props in dance, which affect dancing. I love to see pure dancing, expression through body and face, like in so you think you can dance.
